My First Ever Festival: Falls Festival Byron Bay Vlog! (& I ended up in the medical unit haha)

- Woahhh my first EVER festival! With the Coachella vibes, glorious weather and lack of mud, this was a bit different to how I'm sure the average UK fest is! 😉😂 Falls Festival Byron Bay was over New Years and so much fun! We bought a tent, hammer and sleeping bags quite cheaply in Yamba and headed to the fest. Shoutout to our wonderful friends we made from the Sunshine Coast! 🌞 and yes. I ended the fest with the lamest way of ending up in the medical unit.... we love keeping it real. 🙃 enjoy x
As I say in the vlog, I feel like people often avoid talking about their first experiences with alcohol, which I think is an important point to be honest about. 🤷♀️ I hope you guys never feel pressure to drink, that you know you can go to parties/clubs/festivals and not touch alcohol (or drugs!). But drinking is also a natural part of growing up, I guess! HA, I am still learning.
Note: I received a discounted experience in certain hostels or gifted activities thanks to my RUclips channel and reaching out to companies! However, all my opinions are honest. 🥰 Falls Festival wasn't discounted.
In this vlog, we went to Falls Festival Byron Bay (fallsfestival....) and then explored Byron!
We stayed in the BEST hostel (discounted): wakeup.com.au/... which had free yoga classes on certain days, free bike/surf board hire and hammocks everywhere! I loved it so much ✨

Just get a fulltime job and after 3 months you have enough to travel for 3 months, depending on where you go. Say you work 40 hours a week earning 1600-2000€ a month (that's around 11€-12€ an hour), after 3 mobths you'll have 6000€. A plane ticket to Thailand costs 500€. A hostel in Thailand costs 10€, food costs 5-10€ a day, you can travel for months on a budget like this. I traveled in India for 800€ for a whole month (buses, planes, food, activities, hotels).
Aussie festival goer here. You may have had heat exhaustion? It’s pretty common at festivals like this. Especially considering the lack of water, couple of drinks and spending the entire day in the very harsh northern sun it definitely sounds plausible (additionally considering that you didn’t have THAT much to drink, probably was more to do with the sun). On a lighter note, so glad you had a good time! These vlogs are really interesting to watch as an Australian, interesting to see how other young people interpret Australia. Looking forward to the next video!!

i just read the bit about alcohol in the description and I couldn't agree more. there's A LOT of pressure nowadays to drink and it's becoming harder and harder to suppress it. i think that you've just got to know what's right for you and do what YOU want, not what anyone else wants. :)

They’re a group of volunteers that attend heaps of Australian events like school leaver parties and festivals to help out in situations like that and always have red frogs as their trademark thing haha 👏🏼😍 Saved me and my friends on one or two occasions haha. Glad you’re okay!

Italy is my country sooo: have fun!! It’s really beautiful and don’t worry if you’ll need anything you’ll always find someone to help you. Also it’s pretty safe, so just try to not to think about the bad things that could happen, focus on the amazing things that you’ll see and do instead! Get out of your mind (I know that it’s really hard to do, believe me, but I know that you can!!)❤️❤️

I loved this, honesty is something that takes a lot of guts and showing the truth of travelling throughout your blogs makes it all feel a lot more genuine and is kind of helpful to use as a guide for travel when I'm older. It's the first day of high school for me tomorrow (high school starts at age 16 where I'm from which is Korea) and this vlog is helping with my nerves and anxiety. It was so fun and exciting and relaxing to watch and gosh do I want to go to Australia this very minute.
I was having quite a hard time trying to motivate myself to study and be productive and would have small anxiety attacks thinking about starting high school but I think I found my motivation.
I would LOVE to go travel the world like you are doing Jade after getting into a college I want. Whenever I find myself lost, unmotivated or anxious, I'll think about this new dream of mine to get back on track.

Aww Jade! You’re not alone, when I was 18 I went to a friends outdoor birthday party. I never drank before turning 18, but this night someone convinced me to try the keg beer. I had already drunk about 3 Smirnoff double blacks (vodka and lemonade) Needless to say it’s gone down in folk law how sick I was that night :-/

Anna Williams mine is similar and I just try not to wash it very much and not use too much product in it. I let the natural oils keep it shiny. The more you wash it, the more the oils are stripped away. Try to only wash it twice a week.

Aaahh it looks so gorgeous! How did you guys keep all of your bags safe at the festival?
It was amazing!! ✨ Okay, so in all honesty, it's not the safest. We padlocked our rucksacks in the tent, kept passports in very hidden places in our rucksacks and I took my wallet with me in my bum bag! We always kept the tent zipped all the way down, and there was a little clip you could do up at the bottom (so less convenient for a random passerby!). But yes, you kinda trust that no one will try 🤷♀️😬 x
