I still can’t believe you were kicked off project runway?? You are such a fabulous designer and I just absolutely love your work, like this dress for example… gorgeous.
Yeah and he was SOOOOO much better than some of them. But I will say that he has grown a great deal in design since then. Like I can see him winning that shit now! When I looked back at his season, I didn't recognize some of his work which normally I can spot it out! So he's definitely grown and probably has even more skills, even though he was highly skilled then. He makes sure his work is impeccable and I love that about him, plus he's just a sweetheart!
@sash587 he was on season 9 & 10!! I saw him on season 9, and didn't know he was on 10,i guess I didn't see that season but I'm going to watch it now!!!
I’m not a girlly girl but I really love your creations, I think it’s because you put a little bit of yourself into your projects, I love listening to your commentaries while your making the outfits, the softness of your voice is claiming. You vibrate love, and kindness. Your are a beautiful soul.
You are so incredibly gifted!!!!! Your ability to transform your mental image of something into a reality is amazing! Thank you for sharing & helping others. 😮
You’re simply amazing, Gunnar! Honestly, for my body type the sheath style dress was always the most flattering, so it was a favorite for me. It shouts CLASSY! Love this!
For some reason this made me cry .. I think because I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished with your exceptional talent .. Love you Gunner ❤
Oh my goodness you are an unbelievable seamstress. This is such a beautiful piece of art. I can't imagine you getting kicked off of anything. ❤❤❤❤❤ I'm 82, when my children were in elementary school I always designed there Haloween costumes. They loved entering the costume contest. I just made simple outfits, nothing to fancy. They both won a few times. To this day both in there 50's now, still bring up how much fun I always made there Halloweéns. I love sitting back and watching your creations come alive. Your a rock star.❤😊
That's beautiful 💖💖 I love everything you share. Everything you make has a timelessness to it that is uniquely elegant, unique to you and I gasped when I saw the finished dress. I miss sewing but my disability kind of removed it from me. I hope some day I can return to it.
This is absolutely beautiful... absolutely breathtaking. Thank you, I think I'm going to try to create dresses and outfits the way you do. Thank you for being so inspiring! 💙
Great job on the vintage yet modern dress very good! I like the texture with the smooth light weight fabric s as it is wismical. And extra accent the skirt . Catches the eye of the beholder! Flirty style. 😊
Dear Gunnar you are absolutely amazingly talented seeing your love for these fabric's and patterns its truly is watching an artist work but more than that seeing your joy and happiness just living your authentic self living your best life there is a joy, love and care in every pattern thank you gor sharing your wearable art with us ❤
This is what angels in heaven wear. Good lawd, I just looked at his website for the first time....there's a marie antoinette shoot and the dress on the right has got to be a bajillion layers of meticulously shapped layers of buttercream fabric..I can't even take it but I want more. Phenomenal🔥🔥🔥🕊
I love this, your stories are lovely, you make me miss my Aunt, she sewed all my clothes growing up even when I started to work. She tried really hard to teach me but my head was always buried in some books. She made me a skirt with those kick pleats, not like yours, but I was very elegant.Your dress is beautiful.❤.
I love the choice of color and material. The whole design is beautiful, but not for my body type. But for me without the godets. Maybe one in the back. Gunnar, you are a wonderful tailor and seamstress and pattern maker. Awesome workmanship! 👍🥰❤️
I first started collecting vintage and wearing it on stage when I lived in Louisville in the 70’s. There were a couple excellent shops back then, full of 1920’s beaded gowns , gaberdine suits from the 40’s and gorgeous 50’s New Look dresses. I’ve given away so many pieces over the years but hung onto the couture items. Still in hanging bags but no longer worn. 😊
Louisville is my hometown. I know exactly which shop you’re speaking about. (Small wonder you know how to say our city’s name better than most in the media.) it makes me feel so proud to hear you enjoyed your time here. Thank you for continuing to share your creative journey & joy. It always brings me a smile.
You just answered a question I didn't realize was rattling around in my head. In The Great Muppet Caper, during the fashion show scene, Diana Rigg's character refers to "a flutter of godets." I never knew what that meant. (It also took a lot of googling just now to figure out how to spell "godets.") The more you know!
I have large arms. I've been putting the coties in the sleeves after opening up the arms on a blouse or shirt so I could wear them. I didn't know they had a name. I love your channel and your sewing techniques. Really nice. Thanks!!
you are amazing and your work and creations are outstanding. thanks for never giving up and understanding that not everyone is a size tiny and making larger sizes up to 32 it's truly important that larger size people have beautiful fashions too 😊
The sleeves are utter perfection. I think the dress would look rather gorgeous at ankle length. The sleeves could also be left open but gathered in at the wrist.
❤ Love this!!!❤And getting kicked off “RunWay” duh!!! That was just stupid! I love that you talk through your videos. It’s great to know your thoughts & what inspires you. I’m a seamstress of many yrs & can usually figure out where the designer’s going but sometimes especially when they don’t speak/ explain I can’t imagine how a person that is inspired but learning can follow. Remember you are inspiring the world ❤w/ your love of what you do & create. And your really cute!! By the way loved the beautiful slacks you made for you & your fav… amazing fabric & style beyond!!! You both look amazing!! ❤ Great job as usual!!
OMGOODNESS - love it. I was thinking how beautiful in a casual wedding that would be. Imagine a 50's hat and clutch purse. And if course I always loved the shoes back then. So very feminine.
