I have to come watch your videos during my luteal phase because I just get sooo low energy and foggy and then feel anxious about that. But your videos remind me that this is normal and ok. Saturday afternoon nap, don’t mind if I do.

Progesterone is at play when we feel foggy in our luteal phase. The way I've dealt with my anxiety around feeling low energy is by planning ahead - I do all my grocery shopping for my luteal phase in my ovulatory phase, I decrease my exercise intensity and I make sure I'm eating every 3-4 hours. That helps me support my energy levels. How does this land for ya? :) I hope it can help!

For as long as I can remember I'm tired sad and bloated for my entire luteal phase (which is half of every month) and I'm TRYING to relax so I don't feel so miserable but my job is really stressful and I'm broke and I'm just so disheartened and I don't know how to help myself and I feel like this world is not made for women to thrive and I just want peace for once and to feel like everything is okay for one whole month straight
I'm watching videos on the luteal phase for advice but they all say I need to relax and I CANT I literally have to make money idk what to do

I understand you, it’s not realistic for most people to just relax and drop responsibilities because life still goes on all month long. However I think you can try to incorporate this in your life by taking small steps that help you relax in this phase according to your job or your life style. Like getting as much stuff done when your feel more energized in your follicular phase such as groceries or cleaning or heavier parts or your work if you have that option so that you can have it more under control during your luteal phase. You can also add small things that help you relax like meditating for a few minutes or a taking warm shower at night or whatever you need you just need to know that it doesn’t have to be completely taking the day off and getting rid of all stress sources because that’s mostly not possible. So try taking small steps and incorporating small things that can help you relax over all. I hope this makes sense because I really feel you on this issue

Great book recommendations! I like that you mention that tracking is a great way to approach managing symptoms of the luteal phase. Awareness is key for success! Thanks for making this video!

I get different breakouts during different parts of my cycle
Ovulation: tender big pimples around my chin
Luteal: little bumps on my forehead

Victoria! I loved this video so much. I am in that phase right now and didn’t know anything about it. I feel so much better knowing that it is my bodies response and that I am not just losing motivation. Going to practice self care and give myself a break this week.

My trainer at the gym is like “come on let’s gooooo Shelby!” And I’m like “UM I’m in late luteal phase... back off” lmao
I’m on this phase now, personally not my fav... like I get the purpose but besides the crankiness - it’s the bloating I cannot stand. I’ll eat food and it bloat me up in a second durning this phase.

Sometimes progesterone can "support" the bloating process in our luteal phase by slowing down our digestion. Fennel and licorice tea are super supportive for reducing bloating. Let me know if this helps you in your next luteal phase!

My PMS snuck up on me early this phase... 10 days before my period 😂 sorry hubs. I definitely feel like I do more of my crocheting in the luteal phase. I just want to turn into a hermit and work on projects.

That's a great thing to do in the luteal phase! I become a super hermit in the luteal phase - I like having projects that require low brain activity like budgeting, editing or work in the garden!

The Luteal phase is weird for me. I have to take B6 because I get super moody and bloated...I also make sure I drink a crap ton of water so I can avoid the headaches I get

I feel really good during my luteal phase. Right before I get my period, 2 days leading up to it, I feel like I am high on life. I feel this when ovulating as well. I'm not sure why. I do have low progesterone and was not ovulating before. I have to have my blood work checked again to determine if I am ovulating. I haven't in years.
