The BEST Stand-On AERATOR For PROFITABILITY!

- Today, we're showing you the Stinger Quad Aerator 3000, the most productive and profitable aerator. This aerator is a game changer in the stand-on segment, and its patent-pending integrated seeder makes it an absolute beast.
The claim to fame on this machine is the hydrogear-driven system, which is unique to this stand-on platform. Gone are the days of chains, chain breaks, and slow, sluggish speeds for core aerations.
Lastly, the optional integrated seedbox trickles the seed straight into the cores, which increases seed-to-surface contact, the most critical factor for new seed growth.

What do you guys think of the Stinger Quad Aerator?! If you guys have a chain-driven machine and need to replace it one day, would you upgrade to the Stinger? LMK in the comments below.
Yes! But my toro is still chugging along and it’s owned free and clear.
Toro told me to wait til 2025 to buy anything for what it’s worth. If stinger does a stand on to fit in a 36” gate I’ll buy one tomorrow.
I have one it's BADASS! With the seeder attachment
@@Gardslawns Does Toro have something in the works?
Used this machine this fall. Rented from my dealer. It was amazing. Easily aerating and seeding yards in 10-15 mins. Highly recommend this machine. Big time money maker.
what are you usually charging to aerate and seed the yard?
Been using Stinger for the last 3 seasons. Love it. Overseeding is a breeze.
It can’t be understated, that at the beginning of the season, aeration really overlaps with a tonne of services. Really helps to get them out of the way and double if not triple revenue on being able to open up the schedule.
Yeah I couldn't agree more brother!
I used this 3 weeks ago and it was easy to use and super fast to plug and seed at the same time!
Great video love the stinger aerator
They are awesome machines. I just bought one at the start of aeration season. I put 20 hours on it and did 14k in revenue with about 11,700 in profit after seed.
Only minor complaints are if you get it stuck in mud, it's stuck because of the small tires. Going uphill is a no because you will try to tip back. Otherwise, no complaints
The tines and connected to the tires so you gotta be careful going up hills (found out go down) and if it's wet DONT DO IT it'll tear shit up
my favorite ride on aerator by far, couple of notes though, they tend to spit fire out the exhaust at times, the foot control is the first thing to stop working, and they are not one size fits all. At 6'7" the controls make it so I have to kinda squat
Had Mine for 3 seasons - zero problems. 4 piece tines allow sharp turns without ripping soil. Would love if seeder was tied to groundspeed but easy enough to hit the button to reduce the flow
That's really good feedback.
What setting are you running when dropping the seed? I just bought one and the company I bought it from is telling me to set mine at 45, if I do that a 50lb bag of seed will be used up in no time.
@@GreenerLawnz Hey GreenerLawnz, I had to calibrate mine. We run tall fescue for the most part here in Indiana so I marked off a 500 sq ft area in my back yard then took a scale and weighed out in 2 lbs of seed and put it in the hopper. I started at setting 32 and then went over the area I marked off then checked to see if I ran out or had a lot left over.
Your speed will dictate a good bit of how much you use so initially I used my fitness watch and put it on bike setting to try and keep my MPH consistent. Over time, you will find your grove and your speed will be consistent. I ended up at 33 as the final setting for fescue. Most of the yards I do are 5k or less so I am rarely going full speed. As you are going around landscaping you may want to dial the seed rate back if you are having to slow way down.
We only have a few yards that want all bluegrass but since that seed is much smaller, we did the same process to calibrate the setting.
I hope that helps!! Great Machine! Take care!!
Brian, this is Jake from Boston. I saw this machine today at Steve Roy’s Power Equipment Service in Rhode Island 100% in it is a game changer awesome awesome video.
Love it!!
Bought that exact aerator with seed box 2 years ago... Money maker!!!! But it sux going up hills, should come with weighted front.
What do you do for lawns with gates? Most gates are 36”-40” and that aerator is 48” wide.
Rent or bring along a smaller 18-20” aerator.
We really love ours. Make sure not to use coated seed in the box to avoid problems.
had my yard done a few weeks ago the guy did it super quick. One thing though do not I mean do not use coated seeds it will fowl up the seeder. The day before my yard was done he left a few seeds in the bin and clog up all the hole it took 1.5 hours to clear out unit
I had the stinger and the exmark with broadcast hopper I liked the exmark better
Just bought one this season the speed is better than my old toro, lack of chains is priceless and the fact that you can seed accurately while aerating and not get it in landscape beds is huge.
Can you spread fertilizer with the seeder also?
@user-tx4nt8dn2q No, it's seed only.
@@user-tx4nt8dn2q No, not supposed to per Stinger
Can anyone tell me a good seed setting so I’m not wasting seed? I just bought one last week and the company I bought it from said to set mine at 45 and if I do that I go through seed like crazy. Any help I would definitely appreciate it
When I did mine a few weeks ago. I was running about 35 on my nicer/thicker lawns. And 42-45 on the bare/patchy lawns.
Hey Brian, I'm a crafter. I love working with broken tree branches. How do I clean them for bugs, or sap do I even need to. Right now, I have pine tree branches. Thank you
Oh gosh I am not sure man. Sorry.
Does the stinger have a range of aeration depths? Not sure if I missed that on the video or not. Used a toro before and it had the ability to go from .5-5inches I believe.
That I am not sure, mostly just down pressure with how much force. I think you're stuck with 3" cores arguably. I can find out.
No worries. Appreciate the videos and podcasts. Very informative as I slowly start into the lawncare world.

It’s awesome and a very pricey machine
Just rolled one of those off a 20ft wall.. It was brand new.. now it's game over..
Oh no! Insurance maybe?
I was thinking about buying their stand on sprayer for my property.
Dave said those are selling like literal hot cakes. Good buy!
I do aeration but what is the best way to price it. Would love to make more money at it but not out price myself to others.
$30 per 1k, $125 minimum, $75-$100 per 1k on seed.
Anyone had issues with it pulling up giant chunks of turf? Going in a strait line, have had it happen from a stop or while going in a strait line. Great machine other than occasionally have that issue.
Possibly reduce the down pressure, 150-300 tops imo. But yeah, all aerators do that once in a while.. hehe.
Think that's just an issue that can happen with any aerator depending on turf conditions
It can if turning with tines down. Lower the pressure some, especially if the ground is wet and soft.
Let me ask, can it save seed AND have better germination rate?
100% it does, because you're not scattering seed all over the place like a broadcast spreader.
Can you please interview someone at the Massimo Motor Booth at Equip Exposition This Year?
I can try!
What is your minimum price to aerate?
$125.00
Doesn’t exmark have an aerator and if u work with them they will have u one I am sure
We have one, it has around 250 hours on it. It's a game changer machine 6-7 years ago, but if I bought a new one today, it would be a Stinger/Lesco one.
