Back in my little league in like 1st through 3rd grade the coaches would pitch easy cheese balls to us, then in 4th grade players started pitching in the last 2 innings after the coaches. And if you couldn’t put anything into play they’d have to bring out the tee and everyone in the dugout would laugh.
Absolutely no point in kids pitching until the 9-10 age bracket. Control is an issue already in 10U, even on a lot of competitive teams. No reason to start earlier
@@ajschlem Not at the league we play at. Our 7s and 8s hit the zone pretty consistently. I would love to know how many kids after they see love pitching at a later age aren't afraid of the ball
@@Joker1Bravo Our league is also rec and the kids learn fast that if a ball hits them they get on base and they move on... over the years only have seen a couple of kidd quit because they were hit by a ball
@@ajschlem 10u kids that don’t have control are probably the ones who played machine pitch till they were 9 😂 my brother is in 8u and those kids and rlly good and pretty consistent at throwing strikes
My son was 6u hitting off machine pitch he went 5 for 5 . Should see him now in 10u unbelievable they have their own chant for him when he steps up #warningtrackpower

It’s a little league game off a pitching machine. I know you’re glory days of being able to hit in little league are over and now you can’t hit at all against actual pitching, but you don’t need to discredit this kid for a good hit

the hit was nasty but lets talk about how fast he got to first base
Ong he was zooming
He was fast but the bases are smaller
Yeah he’s fast. Just wait til he gets a little bigger he’s gonna fly.
That's way cooler than having the kids try to pitch and just be standing in there forever waiting for something over the plate.

What the is actual point of the pitcher being there 💀

I’m nine and I’m throwing 55 and throwing consistent strikes so if anyone says you shouldn’t play kid pitch when you’re nine please stop the cap
Very nice hit
8u and they still use the machine?? They should absolutely be in there second year of kid Pitch

It's rec. Not every kid is on the same level of playing. Best way to stop kids playing is having a 7u pitcher hitting a first year player...imo
