- Beautiful ladies of days gone by.
(I do not know who any of these women are. Mayhap someone out in the great wide open will recognize one of them and post it in the comments.)
The music: "A Maiden's Prayer" (Molitwa dziewicy) for piano, Op. 3 (or Op. 4)
by Polish romantic composer: Tekla Badarzewska
Everytime I listen to this beautiful melody I almost cry, thinking of a young innocent girl who wrote this. It was sad to know that very few people knew about her in Poland. "Could you buy this sheet music?" she wandered in town to sell. She was 17 or 18 years old in 1837-1838. I recently learned this story.
Beautiful melody. I play for my elderly patients everyday. They love it. Thank you
Sometimes the simple things are among the most beautiful. Somehow human likes to make things complicate...
cool presentation..i loved seeing all the old photos with the music. thank you
This song sums up my entire life. Literally. I would play this on my funeral.
i love this song it lovely but a little sad somehow
Very nice job. Great presentation - and the music couldn't be more perfect for the theme.

This work gives the players invaluable practice on rapid appegios. A good transition from elementary to intermediate.
I know right! This piece kills my right hand every time I play it with the octaves and speed arpeggios!
Very Nice!!!! I am learning this song. I also agree that it should be a little slower.
Music was once so amazing
Una belleza. Beautiful, Brenda, muy muy hermoso.
Thanks!
The garbage truck's in Taiwan play this song, but they somehow make it sound haunting and sad.
Ironically, I first heard this music in middle school math class.
This music was played in a learning program that my math teacher saved on a USB stick.
The teacher with a sense of humor likened this music to wedding music. haha! Anyway, very beautiful music.

A maiden in those days was basically a word for a young unmarried women... I assume the song is supposed to depict the rhythm and mood of what a young lady would dream of.
Glad I was able to post something you wanted! :)
This is the equivalent to the popular music that people hate, but is popular none-the-less. I.e. Call me maybe
Gracias y thank you, asuntxun, for watching and for your comments. Very appreciated!

strawberry panic
Who plays this piece?I like it so much!
He added some extra bits
personally i think it's too fast. the piece was meant to be played in Adante
what did you search to get these pictures i would love to look them up?
i am trying my best to download this beautiful piece of music the basic ytd downloarder says failed any idea as to how i could
download it using any other method ?
vidtomp3.com if you have a good anti-virus program. I have Norton and I've used vidtomp3 for years. When you see download this and download that you have to click the right one. If new pages/tabs are opened, close them. Your download should have the last 3 letters/number MP3. If you see exe. delete the download. It works if you're savvy. Type vidtomp3 into the RUclips search bar and watch some tutorials. Good luck.
ye right
I have been searching for lyrics to this tune for ages. When I google search all I get is the Blue Grass version, which I NEVER liked, and also has a different tune. smh I did find where someone called John Stowell Adams wrote lyrics to 'this' melody, but I still cannot find it. (heavy sigh) Does anyone now where they might be found without being bombarded with Bob Wills' version? Please?

Maidens prayer
Dang my grandma has a music box that plays this
Can someone tell me why is it "Maiden's Prayer"? Who is Maiden? What is Maiden?
Are there words? There is a country western song from the sixties or seventies. Maybe earlier, but it's not the same music.
これらの写真はたぶんPolish romantic composer: Tekla Badarzewskaでしょう。These are same to my image. Thank you .
The music history textbook I'm reading makes an example of this piece for being shallow and pseudo-romantic salon music, calling it musical kitsch.
I heard this in a Korean drama
hee hee :D
7 seeds brought me here. ;;;;;;
The pianist and academic Arthur Loesser described it as a "dowdy product of ineptitude." IN MY OPINION ARTHUR LOESSER HAS NO CLUE ABOUT MUSIC. And he was a complete ignorant, too.
Apparently this piece of music has become associated with Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica?
It actually makes me think of Strawberry Panic!

I wonder how many unmarried young women today deserve to be considered maidens.
I came for Strawberry Panic, does anybody else did the same?
Welp, garbage truck music sound found!

A time when women were women.
