I'm excited to see your reactions to these songs, but I do feel sad that you spoiled yourself with the second ost, especially with the Artwork included and the different sections of the ost relate a lot to the parts where they play in the game. Still can't wait to see your reaction if you continue to play layer 7 though!
Eh, it's not like the game even tries to hide big B, literally visible all throughout layer 7 except for the first one
4:43 hate to ruin your silent hill fan moment but this part of the song is actually a reference to a part of the songs guts and glory, both from 3-1

fun fact: if you listen to castle vein (or have listened to it) you can hear a part of it in the last part of altars of apostasy
Technically it's a separate song from Altars of Apostasy that just doesn't have its own track listing. Also wdym "you can hear a part of it" that's literally the whole song.
song is apart of the song but its a ref to 1-3, the song name "halls of scared remains" which is apart of Altar of Apostasy is basically a remix of Castle Vein
The gigarobot is a reference to centaurs from Inferno, and in the book they indeed guard the layer. 7-4 is also the best level ever made? It's an EXPERIENCE, you better be hyped for it.

I love Altars of Apostasy, one of my favourite songs in the game. Another one of my favourites is The Death of God's Will (The second Gabriel fight theme), would be cool if you reacted to it aswell, such a banger!

War without reason is
1000-THR EARTHMOVER theme song which is the final boss in the violent layer (also the spear looking thing is uh its attack you cant parry it and the attack didnt do anything it just shoot out big electric beam according to the terminal this gigantic macine required both of energy which is blood and solar and because of the smoke and ash on the sky it block the sun and making it a long night... They also called horse of apocalypse too. Hope this help :D)
I'd highly recommend giving the other violence layer songs a listen outside of the game, "the world looks red" in particular is my favorite from that layer but i could barely pay attention to it during my actual gameplay lol
The context to which war without reason plays in is great. Cant wait for you to play the rest of layer* 7.
Also, saying altars of apostasy is v1’s boss’s theme perfectly describes the song

When you realize the main player character v1 in the lore was made for war and killing everything in its path is quite metal the thr-1000 earth mover has been my favorite boss so far

Never really noticed how the guitar bits at the end of each are pretty similar. i love how hakita reuses melodies but makes them feel so different every time

the funniest part about you talking about how big benjamin is that hes actually even bigger in the game than he looks in the art
Modded levels are a pain in the ass I gotta say. I played "Fools Gold" custom level and Jesus, this level felt like a P-2 It took me arround 10-15 attemps to P-rank it. Tried "Where the Streets Have No Name" too, both are super well made and fun levels, but they are really dificult.

I could see that in Fraud. Demons there scammed others out of somewhere between "a lot" and "yes" units or something. Can't say I can see them being in the 9th layer, though...I get the feeling that layer will be a very, very different experience from everything else in the game.

@dhans2881 Actually, that wasn't what I meant at all, but I'm now laughing hysterically at the idea of V1 being chased by a Benjamin that comes up to his knees or something. I'd love to see all different sizes of Benjamin, really.

Altars of Apostasy is really calming to be weirdy, I don't really know why. I love just chilling to it :) (also you mispronounced apostasy *so badly* oh my lord)
War Without Reason is also super calming for me (it's the neurodivergence 😔)

That is an earthmover the ultimate weapon with shields so strong fights between earthmovers are at a stalemate. Fun fact v1 was made to kill earthmovers

If you want more Silent Hill you should probably play Alan Wake II since it has a lot of that feeling of the classic Silent Hills where its just really off.
