Ah yes,the glory days. Croke Park packed to the rafters,U2 on stage, sun out. Happier times indeed. This was a fortnight before they turned our world's upside down at Live Aid
100% spot on.the day they became the biggest band in the world on this side of the big pond cause the state's were already hooked after war & red rocks
1000 euro cash waiting to be collected if anyone can get me one of those security t shirt MUST BE IN MINT CONDITION. & yes I'm serious... email theshev1@hotmail.com
They made a documentary about the show, shame U2 don't put any old material out for their fans, considering they are the same line up unlike so many other bands. This tour was amazing (yes all are) but very under documented.
This is pretty cool, but why didn't they release the whole 1985 "Wide Awake in Dublin" documentary? Maybe there will be a DVD boxset of 1 pro shot show for each tour? McGuinness? You listenin'?
wow where did this come from. cannot they released the crappy boxset with not a single live track from the unforgetable tour except what was on wide awake in america. When will we ever get a full show on dvd from this tour
I’m not convinced it is. It appears to be from a pro-shot camera and the audio is possibly from a mic on that camera, hence has distortion due to proximity to stage. One wonders if there were other camera angles that night and a multi-track audio recording. If so, why weren’t they used. Pretty sure there is a better sounding audio only audience recording out there too.

I was standing near the front at Wembley Stadium in 1987. It was madness before the first support band came on.
This is cool. I saw them the week before at MK Bowl!
Me too. The longest day with REM, the ramones and Billy brag. I remember it poured down all day, great day
@@kieranmorrissey4218 I thought Spear of Destiny were brilliant that day, I`d never heard of them until then!
@@theswedex oh yes. I've still got the program and the ticket stub.
@@kieranmorrissey4218 I`ve still got the stub too, also had a tee shirt that has long since disappeared, though it wouldn`t fit anyway!

its for the Unforgettable Fire Super Deluxe Edition which was released in October 2009. Btw, the audio track is shit because its a BOOTLEG version.
