If you follow the dog and kill whomever he is engaging with, he will move around the field more and eventually get to where you want him. If he's where you want him, you just leave him alone. It's AI will also help alert you to the presence of enemies that are sneaking around out of sight or an oni that teleports behind you before you can see him. It's saved my butt a few times. Also, I'll target the dog with R3 so that he lights up and can be seen by anyone that needs to heal. With the increased healing and increased radius, you have to get some real bonehead button mashers to have your whole team die.
Ik I’m late to this video but you should only have 1 cooldown reduction in the build for the sword is what I personally recommend because on my charm I use weakening burst radius +88% and healing spirit radius +98%. The dog has a glitch where if you use the class ability perk he disappears faster than he would without it as the cooldown with only the 1 ability % reduction and no perk has the dog stay alive until 5 seconds before the cooldown returns and here your dog in the video disappears at half the cooldown length. This also means you don’t have to waste your legendary on spirit Kunai unless you want them in the build but doing things this way for infinite dog spam is tedious and wasteful because for some reason having a large ability reduction more than just 12% causes the dog to leave at 50% cooldown icon and not 95% cooldown icon
