VW Golf 2013 window regulator part 1

Hello DIY community here's a quick view of what you might be getting into when replacing a window regulator on a 2013 VW Golf. Note the speaker rivets are a different size compare the ones on the regulator.

Hearing some grinding noise on my son's rear window...which won't stay up. Hoping it's just that plastic pin, but I'm not sure. Thanks for posting this video. So much more of a pain in the ass compared to my 97 Accord regulator...

Hello,question. You stated there are only 11 rivets to be removed, which I currently have removed. BUT there is that one specific rivet you said not to drill out, that rivet is keeping me mounted to the door. Are you sure I don't drill it out??

How do you remove the small plastic plug for the window holder

Just push it through... but if you're installing the new regulator, *carefully push the plastic plug in the most center position of the regulator glass holder.

Question my window basically lost that little piece that holds window to track do I have to replace the whole regulator?

Yes you do. FCP Euro sells the cheapest and best OEM replacements for them.
