My grandma has a ton of intolerances and allergies. Artificial sugar for example will straight up kill her if she’s exposed to it. She recently was when her mother in law opened a pack at a restaurant to put in her water (don’t even ask I don’t know why she puts sugar in water) but she thought it wasn’t going to hurt my grandma as much but it ended up sending her to the hospital after using an Epi pen. The only thing that saved her life was that she allergic to bee stings but she’s a bee keeper because she loves bees. She had gotten stung the day before and had to take a lot of Benadryl. That Benadryl was still in her system and was able to save her life. I was mind blown when I heard about it

theyre simplifing things, he probably has some version of severe arfid (eating disorder where your brain refuses to eat most foods and will throw up/gag), people with arfid have starved themselves to death before if they didnt get what their brain was willing to eat

My mom was able to eat nuts at a young age, but now as an adult she can't eat peanuts, and on a plane, people get asked not to eat peanuts as they're the worst.

A common theory why food allergies exist, is leaky gut syndrome… when your stomach walls r destroyed by wrong bacteria causing your stomach walls to get „leaky“ n allowing mostly protein to get nto places your body doesn’t want it to be…
N when u got a reaction because of this your system is recognizing it, it’s getting worse by the next time u eat it, because your body already knows the „invader“…
So when u eat a variety of other proteins your body isn’t reacting like that…
I always thought my dog is very allergic n it was always getting worse until the day she couldn’t eat anything but insects… then I started to feed her a variety of fibers (vegetables) n probiotics n some supplements n now after a year of treating for leaky gut all allergies are mysteriously gone ❤
I dont know if i still am, but pineapple would give me rashes on the inner side of my elbows. Most recent time i can remember was 2015 when i ate a burrito (i think) and it had big chunks of pineapple.

I also had food allergies, which are seafood. But then, I improved little by little, and now I mostly eat fish, shrimp, and even squid!
Wait, wait, wait. "Baby Formula"? That has milk in it.
I have a slight whey allergy. If I eat whey shakes, my nostrils get inflamed, and stay inflamed for weeks. However, it also happens to a lesser extent when I stop eating dairy for a while, then suddenly start eating it again. I've found that slowly reintroducing dairy, like Arjen's friend, helps me get back to where I can eat normal dairy again without nasal inflammation. I'm considering trying to slowly ween myself onto whey shakes usin the same methid.

I’m allergic to latex and in turn I’m allergic to certain other foods such as bananas, kiwis, walnuts, apples, strawberries, carrots and avocados. If I remember right, there are proteins in those foods that mimic the proteins in latex which is why I can’t handle them. I do love bananas, though 😂

My mom told me I was allergic to wheat as a child, but outgrew it.
However, over a decade ago, she developed an allergy to peanuts and last year discovered she’d developed allergies to wheat, corn, and shrimp.
I discovered last week that I have developed allergies to carrots and peanuts, and a sensitivity to soy, cabbage, tomatoes, and corn.
The bright side is I am forced to eliminate a lot of junk food and make healthier choices. (My snacks now consist mostly of fruit.)

I kbow a guy who had a lot of alergies since birth so he signed up for some testing to see if they could be cured and now he is only alergic to bell peppers and he did try doing the, i think it counted as some kind of therapy, thing for longer but there was no progress so the professors cut him off, but he said he is enjoying his life a lot more now
I became vegetarian in early middle school and in highschool I accidentally took a bite of something with bacon in it (spit it out immediately) and ended breaking out in full body hives. Bodies be wild

Growing up I never had a problem with dairy then when I was about 9 (I’m 11 now) I started developing a lactose intolerance, crazy how the body does that but also really annoying I just hope it doesn’t get worse, I love dairy.🥛 ❤😂
