      These old Ferraris really bring you right back to the feel of 60s!

    The 365 GT is such a different experience from the 250 and 330, I love the ride of this large GTs. Nice to take us along for this short trip Tom, thanks. The sound of this one is so cool, rumbling like an F40. The interior is very nice with the black/wooden steering wheel, the last of the classic Ferrari interiors before lots of plastic started to appear...

      The 365GT 2+2 was the last of the Vintage Ferraris with the organic shapes of the 50s and 60s. From there Pininfarina started putting creases and sharper angles in their cars. I like the shape of this long lean car. It reminds me of the 500 Superfast.
      Thanks for watching.

    Probably one of the easiest and most pleasant of all Classic Ferrari Gts to drive and with plenty of torque :-)

      The older Vintage Ferraris have a different elegance to the later V-8s, but they're all fun cars to drive!

    Maybe a little lean ? Or drawing air in to the exhaust manifold on he over run ? The sort of nice noise that modern cars try to reproduce by moving valves and baffles in the exhaust system...

      I managed to enrich the mixture but I also found a crack in one of the mufflers that was the cause of some of the rumbling. Thanks for watching.

    Tom nice roads. I wish I had those here around my place. Pretty scary and difficult to properly drive test the customers cars in traffic. I do my runs very late after dinner or before the sun rises.

      I am very lucky to have several routes to take on my drives, making sure not to take the same one every time so the neighbors don’t start wondering where all these Ferraris are coming from!

    Tom, Beautiful! What is the color? Thinking about my future repaint! Got the drive shaft removed tonight, hopefully back together tomorrow!

      I think this is called Grigio Fumo. Metallic.
      Was it the center support bearing making all the noise?

    • @davidtrappii1655
      @davidtrappii1655 3 года назад +1

      The bearing does not appear to be bad. Will install the new one today but can’t drive it till the steering column returns from ODD!
      Thanks for the color, my wife loves it.

    Was the 456 from the 1990's an evolution of this?

    • @tomyangnet
      @tomyangnet  9 месяцев назад +1

      Since 1960, Ferrari has made a 2+2 in their production, so technically, yes the 456 is an evolution of the 365GT2+2, but the 365GT/4 and 400GT was between these two cars. Mechanically, they were different. Thanks for watching.

    Still sounds great, even out of tune, like Keith Richards.

    I like that hand rest in the centre consol.....oh wait...that is the gear lever 🙄...drives me nuts to see people drive any kind of manual transmission car while resting their hand on the gear lever like 90% of the journey time....please just change gear, then put your hand back on the steering wheel , it seems so sloppy/lazy to be driving a vintage Ferrari like that, it just shows that you don't have a very good driving technique, it is so amateur and it's not that safe either.

    • @tomyangnet

      In my defense, it’s a 7 minute video, with editing that shows when I’m shifting, not when I’m simply driving in gear. I think your observation is skewed, but yes, you are correct, you shouldn’t leave your hand on the shifter.

    • @christoph404
      @christoph404 Год назад

      @@tomyangnet ah okay, if it is the way the video is edited it appears you are resting your hand on the gear stick the whole journey, I will accept your defense and suggest an edit where you are making quick gear changes with your hand going straight back to the steering wheel!!! The edit makes it look like you drive one handed the whole time and the only time you remove your hand from resting on the gear stick is to turn a sharp corner where you need both hands to turn the wheel!!! 🙂
