And like someone else mentioned Popeyes is $4 on its app lately and sometimes BOGO where I don't think there are any deals at chic filet. Where I live chic filet is definitely better. My Popeyes always seems to screw up! Like half of the time too damn greasy!

I'm Irish and live in Ireland. I tried Popeyes when I went to Liverpool last summer. It was so delicious. I was in Orlando 7 years ago and was recommended by a local to try Chick Fil A. I didn't have the time but I wish I did! If a local is stepping in to suggest a good spot, that has to be a good sign.
You know what you should do? Hit up Dinosaur Barbecue up in Harlem. You gotta try the ribs, the fried green tomatoes, the mac and cheese. It is the Barbecue by which all other barbecues should be judged.

Put on a soft bun with lettuce, dill pickle, or tomato slice and add mayo. In the warmer weather I might grill it on my little camp grill on the varanda. Too cold to grill now though.
I've noticed that most other places with a decent chicken sandwich use condiments/breading to compensate just in case the chicken itself is lacking a little due to variance (although white meat vs dark meat can change things entirely, for better or worse), whereas chick-fil-a seems to have more consistently good chicken itself, so they can prepare it predictably and trust it more. I always hated how chick-fil-a gets away with serving plain bread sandwiches as a standard (someone who hasn't tried it may be puzzled or turned off), but at the same time the chicken is often juicy and flavorful enough that you don't need it, and it could in fact hinder the intended flavor if you just want pure chicken. For the record though, I don't mind the plain version, but I always get the deluxe version of the sandwich so it comes with the standard veggies on it, and I add sauce as well. I was almost offended the first time I ate chick-fil-a, everyone was hyping it up and I was met with two dry buns, two pickle slices, and a piece of chicken. I changed my mind afterwards because it was tasty, but never understood why everyone I know prefers the plain version over deluxe.

Believe it or not but Popeyes in New Orleans is different from everywhere else. There's a distinct difference when you have it down there, I've eaten it all over the world. From Singapore to Scotland to many different states in the US but down in New Orleans it just tastes different.
Popeyes sells a ghost pepper coated sandwich. They use a ghost pepper mayo on a spicy chicken patty. Eat only one though. Two and the ghost pepper will get you.

I always use sauce on my CFA sandwich. Usually mayo but sometimes I'll switch it up and use Honey roasted bbq.
