Yea I sold it due to bad engine, wish I hadn’t sold it but it would have been hard to fix bc the engine is in a tight spot

That's the SENDER !!
Sends signal to the temp gauge.
The "Sensor" sends a signal to the ECM !!
They're different !

What was going on with the astro? Was the gauge showing cold all the time but no dash lights? I'm interested because I just got a 94 astro and those are my symptoms.

Yes the temp gauge wouldn’t work rise after several minutes of it running and after replacing the sensor it started working again. Hope that helps you out

Yes cause after replacing it my temp gauge was working
