Unlike the last two Shadow mode videos, I pretty much main Shadow Mitsuru now since I'm struggling to relearn Shadow Labrys on hitbox 😔

Shadows have a Burst now and can activate Shadow Frenzy without 100 meter. Shadows in general are the meta in 2.0. They're crazy

Hearing "Shadow" again right past the intro gave me two reactions
1) it's like one of my favorite Persona tracks in general so great joy
2) oh god it's the fucking shadow naoto video all over again in more ways than one
The funny part is that "Shadow" is legitimately Shadow Mitsuru's theme. Shadow Naoto's theme is "Secret Base".

Can we just take a moment and appreciate how long this video took to make? Some of these clips are months old just so that Moo can release some content. Appreciate the grind.
I also kinda just wanted to keep playing her and not take time to edit. I've wanted to play her since release but I cannot do [4]6B > [4]6AB > [2]8CD dash up 214214C > 236236B on stick. Thankfully I play on hitbox now
I've also wanted to play Aegis since Vanilla so I'm trying to learn her now too. She's hard, but I def feel like I can do it on hitbox

I love the subtitles a ton, there's quite a few videos where the subs make the joke and it just makes the videos much easier to understand, especially when there's multiple people talking.

Y'know, I adore the effort that you put in to show just how many times that one Shadow Mitsuru combo was used by seamlessly editing in switches during that intro for who was being hit. I noticed Ken, Mitsuru, Junpei, Akihiko and Aigis. I don't know if you added any more than that during like the multi-stab super parts, but I swear you had it flash a few times between them during it, so that shit is good man. :ok_hand:

Though for the most part it doesn't reeeaaaally matter since it's not escapable unless Shitsuru drops the combo. Jusr helps to add context to the clip.

I mained kanji back in the day and seeing shadow mitsuru again just makes have a ptsd episode again. Over aggressive ones were easier to beat but competent players were just a nightmare.

I love this character. I’ve only played this game once or twice but I remember when I picked her all I did was the basic combo into like a down I wanna say like poke into the basic combo again and I absolutely destroyed the friend I was playing with.

They're pretty high quality, and I was just curious
Not that long, honestly. The hardest set is just deciding what I want to make and finding the motivation to make it. But for themed videos like this I have to learn a new character and then play for a while to get funny footage.
Stuff like Nice Burst/Instant Whatever take a while because most of us are actually pretty decent at the game so that type of stuff doesn't happen super often. Usually after we've been playing for 3-4 hours straight.
For example, Nice Burst 3 has footage from like January 2019 - November 2020.

Shadow Mitsuru is great and all, but can we have a serious discussion about Boss Mode Margaret for a second? Or even Boss Mode Elizabeth which is just Boss Mode Margaret but flashier?
Boss Characters aren't really relevant because they're not something you can use normally. They're also all broken. I really would enjoy doing a Boss Mode tourney tho...
I would love to play Mitsuru but I hate charge characters. I suck at getting the timing down for the charge attacks

The only better Shadow versions are Naoto and Mitsuru, but some people will disagree on that. Shadow Chie has a very high damage output during Shadow Frenzy, but outside of that she's just a worse Chie, and normal Chie can do insane damage too (10K from a DP).
Shadow Narukami and Shadow Yosuke are fine because they're still top tier as hell. Not having a Burst or Awakening does suck though.
