I'm not a knife maker, but I do work with metal. We use many of the same type of tools. Interesting video. FWIW, I have several calipers including a digital Mitutoyo. Mitu, Starrett, and Peacock analog. If anyone is debating between digital and dial, get the dial. Obviously, there's a good deal of personal preference involved, but if you're not sure.... Good luck. Oh, BTW, it can be very handy too have an inexpensive caliper that displays fractional values. As 1/64 is a bit over 15 thou, we're not exactly looking at precision. Mine is an iGaging. It was only about $25.

Nicely done with some VERY important tools and one heavy tool that few spend any time on teaching the newbe. Thank you for doing this! I pressed like and I'll be back! Really liked the concrete but you for countersinking. No competition from me, I do fixed blades only. HA! Cheers!

Mike, on your countersinking and center punching needs I'd recommend a set of center drills. Much better than the masonry bits and 9 times out of 10 you won't need to center punch to start a hole. Sets are usually cheap as well. Also I'd like to plug littlemachineshop.com I am a hobby machinist and love them for inexpensive tooling and whatnot. Good job on the video as always!!!

DB Blades I'll never go back to a regular punch after using one. Probably my favorite tool on the whole list.

you can sharp the carbide insert of those masonry bits and drill hardened steel, I do this even in a lathe
