😆 To be honest we were annoyed at first with the French doors. A few years back I would’ve been fuming. We didn’t think about it much and got it sorted not long after the video uploaded 👍👍
Love this! Thanks for sharing! We just reserved our bellway home over the weekend so we will definitely be watching your videos ☺️ I love your kitchen!
Glad you’re enjoying them. You’re very welcome. Congratulations on reserving you home. Aside from the wait now the fun part begins 😂 that’s very kind thank you. We picked the kitchen out years ago, soo excited when we finally got our options in.
Oh wow definitely not a one off then 🫢🫢 not good. But glad they agreed to move it for you, you would think some common sense / logic would come into play here 😂😂
Yeah dude it’s overdue. We’ve had a nightmare with it. Miscalculated how much more patio we needed and only ordered like a 3rd or what we need and it’s been out of stock since 😩 We need more sub base and slab layer because we again underestimated how much we needed. 🤭 But step 2 is close to being done now so hopefully soon. 👍
@@DevoVlogs Nothing worse when the stuff you need is out of stock and you are waiting on it. Fingers crossed everything will come together nicely for you 🤞
We've enjoyed watching your videos through your buying process. We've just moved back from the US and looked at a Bellway homes development in Yorkshire today. We noticed that 3/4 bathrooms had the towel radiators right next to the toilet! We asked about it and got some waffle about building regulations in order to provide accessible homes, yet in the master en-suite it was tucked behind the door in a safe and accessible way...
Morning. Glad you’ve been enjoying them and welcome back. In our snagging video we had the same issues in our main bathroom. When I sat on the toilet my leg up to my mid thigh was touching the towel Radiator. We wasn’t told they couldn’t move it I find that abit odd, maybe the sales guys are just assuming because they don’t get told much. If it helps we moved ours further behind the door not an issue it was done in 2 days. But worth checking with the builder if you go ahead with it and get to the first fix meeting. 👍👍
Good Morning, hope you’re well. 😜 that’s kind thank you glad you enjoyed it. Not at all the clock is from The Range. We did buy it a number of years back before we moved, hopefully they still sell it. 👍👍 thank you again.
That’s very kind Matthew thanks very much. Congrats on the new build. Honestly we were told the same to wait for 12 months for settling etc. However we thought to hell with it they’ve decorated the show homes so why not. Nothing special just regular paint and wallpaper 😁😁 nothing has gone wrong.
Lovely video! We moved recently in a Bellway home and one thing I would recommend looking is under the kitchen cupboards and under the bathtub. There were some "gems" :)
Thank you very much for watching. Congrats on the recent move and new home. Thanks for the heads up we have looked under the kitchen cabinets but not the bath good shout. Was it bad?? 🤔
Thanks Robin. Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. Yeah it’s worked out well but was definitely coincidental haha 😂 oh really is it not available in the USA that’s interesting i had no idea. 100% agree with you. The wife just said kettles aren’t really a think in the USA either. 🙁
Oh sugar that’s not good. Honestly no we haven’t we heard some horror stories about under the bath. As long as there is no leeks, draughts and everything works we are leaving that one 😂😂 definitely shouldn’t though. May need to bite the bullet and just take it off for a peek 👍👍
It's good to you both back! It's great to hear your experience with your new build house. We brought our new build house from High Street homes a small company and we've been really pleased. We had problems with our front door handle opening it with the handle and they changed the mechanism. We have the same problem with our down lights the finish isn't great and the decorating is awful so we are now decorating it ourselves and have done a better job than the decorators 🤣 I hope you have both settled in well in your gorgeous new house 🙂
Hey Charlotte good to hear from you as well. Didn’t go anywhere really just couldn’t find time to upload and film. Still loads of video ideas to come. Glad you’re enjoying it 👍😆. It’s nice to hear you had a good buying experience, we heard so many horror stories, so it’s nice to hear a good one 😂 in truth we have been waiting for a door mechanism to go on us haha 😆 Yeah not the best finish we’ll get round to them at some point. Haha I can imagine take the time to make it as good as it can be. Thank you very very much I hope you’re enjoying yours too 👍👍
@@DevoVlogs Hey, bless you I can imagine that you are both busy! It's difficult to fit things in with work and doing house things. I'm looking forward to seeing your next vlogs/videos. I've heard so many horror stories too and not much positive ones and it's nice to hear people's experiences. We were lucky like you both and didn't don't have to many snags but still have some to be fixed. The Bellway homes are lovely 👌🏼 have a lovely weekend 🙂
That’s very kind of you thank you. Yeah more then mrs than myself she was working incredibly hard and we found it hard to have time together working alternate weekends as well 🙁 but oh well got there in the end. Agreed definitely nice to hear. Glad you’re snags haven’t been too bad either🤞 enjoy your weekend as well. 😁
@@DevoVlogs oh no bless you, that's horrible when you are working opposite days, it's happend to a lot of the time. We're the same getting there slowly with our house, it takes time to get things to how you want it. I can't wait to get our house finished the decorating , only 7 more rooms to go 🤣 🤦🏼♀️ have a lovely weekend 🙂
Sounds like you have some experience in that area as well 🤭🤭 haha 7 rooms to go have fun with it (I’m sure you will anyway) 😂😂 like you say takes time 👍👍 you too enjoy a lovely Sunday
So, fairly positive conclusion on your Bellway experience, do you still feel the same six months on? I’m due to exchange with Bellway in January and while the sales office and site manager have been great, I am still not entirely convinced they are a good company to do business with.
Hello congratulations on the exchange. (Even though it’s in January) Yes so far it’a been a good experience. The home is great a few snags of course. It’s probably fair to say not everyone will have a good experience but they do keep in touch after you move in every few weeks. However the only down side is after about 3/4 months of moving in they have to prioritise the new houses on the development so it has been difficult to get them to fix things. For example every snag has to go through Bellway customer care who contact the site who then get someone out. We have been waiting a long time for someone to fix our driveway and the street light next to it. Contacted them several times and still waiting. Other than this incident it’s been decent. Hope this helps 😊👍👍
How long did you wait before decorating? We are moving to a new build soon and I've read online about waiting minimum 6 months - I presume this is because if they do snagging repairs they don't want to have an argument with the customer about messing up their expensive wallpaper etc rather than any "real" reason.
Hey Ben thanks for taking the time to comment and for watching 👍👍 we decorated and painted the day we got our keys. Our site manager told us to wait 12 months but then indicated it doesn’t really matter. Our stance was they don’t wait 12 months to decorate the show homes. You’re basically right it’s in case you get settling cracks that break the wallpaper etc. we’ve had no issues whatsoever. Ceremony over hob for many many reasons, mains ones being we’ve never had one and always had gas before, It’s easier to clean and it saves on gas bills. 👍👍 hope this helps
Amazing house love the tour am a finishing labourer for bellway (agency) the team I work with are amazing people from start to finish I have a professional snagger after I finished a house he found 78 snags but I found 182 snags myself so bellway teams do find more 😀
Thanks Scott really appreciate that buddy. Haha you beat him eh just kidding the guys were great and in all fairness there hasn’t been much snagging issues. Especially when comparing to other companies and people we know. 👍👍😁
@DevoVlogs I know bellway got a bad reputation for customer care but myself and the management I've got has had 10/10 reputation so far I feel for clients who has had a bad experience with bellway I wish I could spilt myself into many people and deliver the service people deserve who spend alot of money to buy their perfect home 🏡 😕
Bless you buddy sounds like you’re a top bloke. 100% agree for people who haven’t had a good time buying what could be a forever/dream home. It’s been good with us anyway 😂😂 hope you had a good Christmas and new year.

Thank you very much. Anytime man I try and reply to all but sometimes it’s abit late. Haha can imagine getting a few stubborn people can be frustrating especially one after another. Absolutely you guys do a top job 👍👍
I had 204 snags on my Weston , walls out by over NHBC guidelines, wrong fixtures on garage, no electricity in garage or kitchen island, tiles poorly laid out in all bathrooms and flooring. Nightmare
Wow that’s a lot. Like a hell of a lot. Omg that’s sooo bad 😧😧 our floor tiling in the downstairs WC was bad but other than that it was alright. Sounds like a nightmare hopefully they’re fixing it for you like asap 👍 Ps thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Means a lot ❤️
Ive had 3 new builds obviously you can find snags in a 10million pound house. It amazes me how the people who fitted your French door can walk away from the job knowing it doesn't lock properly???
Evening matey. Oh for sure. That was very annoying they came out at first and said nothing can be done. They then said they aren’t going to replace them. Then they sent another engineer out who dismantled everything and put it back together with better screws and a new locking barrel which so far has seemed to have sorted it out. But it did take several months to sort. 😡 Bonkers
