But why does everyone just love to throw the label narcissist on every person that exhibits poor behavior these days?? 😆 I don’t get it, just because there are even behaviors that might mimic some kind of narcissist behavior doesn’t make that person a narcissist. So here's my take: Was Pirate the only one to blame for the deaths? No. Could Pirate have done something to save the 2 people that lost their characters? Definitely! That doesn't mean he deserves hate, let alone death-threats. That is NEVER ok. The fact he reports those people to Twitch is completely valid. So what could Pirate have done for this to not get blown up so much? Very simple. Even if he played it the same way, people wouldn't be mad at him if he just said: Sorry guys, I initially tried to help out but I panicked, so I can as fast as I could. In hindsight I could've done more. My bad. If he did that, I'm sure nobody would even care as much. Nobody expected him to be a perfect player with the right decisions all of the time. They just wanted him to realize that he could've done more and simply say "Sorry that I didn't help out as much as I could have." Was a /gkick too much? I think a /gkick was valid. It is in the best interest of both the OnlyFangs guild and Pirate himself. That being said I think he should have the ability to get a second chance if he decides to try and get one. We all make mistakes, some bigger than others, and sometimes it takes some time to reflect on it and do better. Overall this situation has blown up more than it should have and it's sad to see. I have no hate towards PirateSoftware, I think he's a great dude, just handled this situation a bit poorly. Happens to the best of us. Learn, Regain and move forward.
I don't think the other people in the guild would want to play with him after the incident. If I was in the guild I certainly wouldn't want to interact with him because of that ego he has. Even if he was let back in maybe a few people would play with him but the tension would be awkward to say the least.
The most pathetic thing is people are getting mad over a video game. Sure, it sucks that they were hardcore characters and lost everything in those deaths, but hey, that’s what HC is about. You know what you’re signing up for when you play that type of character. Sucks to suck.
If anything. This entire drama highlights how utterly unimportant it is. This is a video game. Death threats for anyone is insane. Pirate made a mistake as much as anybody did. Stuff goes wrong. Big deal. It’s World of Warcraft people. What he’s really a victim of is his popularity, just like many before him and many after him. People have been queuing up to burn him down from the moment he started appearing everywhere. And that is the most consistent pattern of behaviour the internet ever shows. It’s like gravity or taxes. Your argument is silly. He wasn’t kicked from the guild over the game, he was kicked over his behavior, and believe it or not most people in this guild are doing this as their job. @TCHrulez Sorry to tell you but run in WoW doesn't mean blow all your mana on blinks unless the situation is particularly dire, which it wasn't. Really bipartisan journalism here. Didn’t cover the fact where he did not want to talk to the other guild members in the run. A simple sorry would have ended the whole thing. Plus he is also threatening smaller streamers. (Edited to correct typos and added the threat line)
Just to clarify: 1. Pirate actually had a ton of mana, he had multiple items that would restore mana 2. He can down rank his spells to level 1 which costs practically no mana. With even 1% mana at level 60 you can throw out many level 1 spells to get the CC

from other MMO's i've played, if a retreat is called, it's not questioned. you retreat. everyone gets out immediately, the healer is the first one who has to get out since they're usually the squishiest and if they die, it's over anyway. they can fall back a little to cast a mass heal if available, but if not, they have to run the fastest. if its called and you keep engaging, your death is YOUR fault. yours, and yours alone. if you're stuck and you die despite other people using knock back and aoe stun moves to help you, it's unlucky, but you have no room to talk. Retreat is called means get your ass out of there. I wouldn't apologize either, especially if im not a top 10 player of a class, knowing every skill from the inside out. you called a retreat, i retreat and only do something if I'm able to do something, and if i'm 100% certain im not at risk while I do it. i don't understand this "drama", he did nothing wrong in my eyes and the eyes of literally every MMO player i know. i feel like this is overblown content creator drama for clicks, stirred up by people who never played MMOs by acting like it's a big deal. I don't even know the guy, but blaming him for other peoples mistakes is wild. I don't know of any background information regarding him, nor do I care. just pointing Out: he has ZERO fault in this situation. neither do i know nor care if there's controversy about his overall behavior or whatever, but play wise, this is perfectly within the playbook for a ranged character. I'd figure he has ways to restore mana and hp somehow in his inventory, but even if he does: this is a high stakes scenario. You're never guaranteed to remember the optimal play let alone items you barely use manually in every single situation. Your priority is your survival, and you might panick.
It's just that people are shocked to find out that Pirate is an asshole Which I found strange that people are shocked because that was evident from day 1 when he started making content
It's hardcore WoW if you die it takes ages to level back up to 60. He's also a mage which has the best CC abilities in the game. He also didn't even use a mana gem and says he's OOM. He's just a terrible player and terrible team player. The hate is to do with him putting the blame on others when his character is designed to literally get itself and others out of sticky situations. I mained Mage in WoW for years and this guy blaming others when he could have saved them is really sad. He should pick a different class.
Yeah, your entire essay is completely meaningless because it's not even slightly relevant to hardcore WoW. This was not a group of randoms - they are the biggest and best funded guild in all of hardcore due to streamer brainrot. They are playing HC, which obviously means that if you die at 60, over a month of your work just got thrown in the trash. Because of that people play much, much differently. If someone calls "run run run" in HC, absolutely everyone is expected to run as a unit. Mana classes are to save their mana for low rank CC spells, which means not casting unnecessarily to break your MP/5 ticker(which he did constantly which is hilarious for a "veteran mage player"). This is a fact for even the very first dungeon most people will run. I have done countless dungeons in HC with randoms and even people who are level 20 and don't even know each other are expected to do these things. Tell me, why can't someone who claims to be an amazing mage player and ex-WoW employee not meet these standards while playing with a pre-made group of other streamers from the biggest guild?
TheScore esports has not covered this well. The whole blow up needs to be contextualized by how he behaved even before the wipe. All of his passive aggressiveness and verbal bullying towards his fellow guildmates, the previous fai;ed run before this wipe where he was the actual culprit, his reactions to other Hardcore guildmates dying where he told his stream how he, as a good mage, would harden up and save his party, his speech in guild meetings where he said the fun in hardcore is when people toughen up when faced with dire situations... all of these should be included in context to this drama.
@luckytanuki5449 It gets the current situation correct. As I said; a video about a certain event shouldn't need to be a docuseries on all the grievances everyone has on everyone contained within the video. And not delving beyond the scope of the video's purpose doesn't make it incorrect.
This video feels biased, so people think that it's all about a stupid game and not about his behavior and true nature, which is the complete opposite of what he preaches -No petri talk clip : "We kick some ass and we live" -No Lacari clips : psychological abuse against Lacari for being new to the game and asking for adivce (not just friendly banter) -No Tyler/Yamato/Pirate clip : leaves the call , doesn't apologize , zero fucks given -No Ashes of Creation clip : Pirate wipes the raid and starts insulting and blaming anyone but himself, realizes he's wrong and keeps insulting -No acknowledgement of Pirate's history of conflict and abuse : Second Life , EVE online , Ashes of creation. As someone who was neutral to this guy (just a general wtf when he spoke so highly of himself as a gamer) but this is a breakdown of why this got so much attention: 1) Lack of empathy (non-existant) 2) 0 accountability, 2 people died and all he could say was "you this" "you that". 3) He always spoke of himself as a great player while making jokes on "feeling phisically ill" watching other mages playing well, saying the sole purpose of mages if to man up and save the groups during this kind of situation, spend about 20 minutes speaking of how he use that build specifically to save lives. 4) He "obeyed" the call to run from Yamato (which he also chose to interpret as "every man for himself", why didn't he "obey" the call to run back when people said "come, this is salvageable"? 5) During the T1-Yamato-Pirate discord call, he made his point clear then when Yamato's turn to talk arrived he said "cya" and left the call. 6) Content creators "cannibalizing" on him? Those were rank1/classic veterans saying he definately could have done something (mana gem, robe, rank1 spell) while he initially said "there is nothing I can do to help you" while hovering mana gem and the item which brings u back to full mana. 7) This guy's ego is OVER THE MOON, he always bring up the "worked at Blizzard stuff" and is unable to admit ANY fault just because he has a high amount of viewers. 8) This behaviour is coming out on the game he is now playing, blaming people when he actually made the mistake. It's not even doing Pirate's side justice, there was a previous raid with the same group that went horribly wrong too and helps add context to Pirate's behaviour
It had nothing to do with the events in-game, it has everything to do with the inflated ego, the fact that he's been griefing other people for the past 20 years doing the exact same things he's reporting them for and using his former position at blizzard (that his dad got for him) as some sort of position of power. This event was just the burst of a bubble that was building up for far too long.
@@AlphaKennyBody12 apparently, if you have a "big ego" you shouldn't be allowed to make sure you're safe from people threatening to harm you. Just how it works on the Internet, I guess
So many bad takes in these comments. Pirate has reviewed other mages in the past and nitpicked them into oblivion. This wasn't much of an issue until he was exposed for the fraud that he was. A level 40 mage could have saved that group, it didn't require high degree of play. You can find many, MANY cases of bad runs/pulls that are salvaged. The pull in this run was definitely bad, but it's at clutch times that you see the good and the bad players. The other 4, for all their faults, held together really well. Pirate just ran like the noob that he was, and then kept doubling down on the dummest things while obviously making extremely dumb rookie mistakes.
reminder that this is, i believe if im remembering names correctly, the same tank that was told he was overpulling in a previous (and maybe more) dungeon, in which the healer was dropped to less than 5% hp, wheres the blame for him? The person who controls grouping and maintaining aggro on enemies for doing the exact thing he was told to stop doing multiple times, the entire thing couldve been avoided if the tank wasnt constantly putting the group into situations like this. i agree more couldve been done and his attitude toward the whole thing wasnt great (god forbid someone who is usually positive shows the very human emotion of anger when getting blamed for something entirely when everyone else is being overlooked) but it wouldnt have, and shouldnt have to begin with
@@maskedryu52 yamato blamed Pirate where he literally not doing anything. He blame him because he is farther away than him. lol. They are basically the same roach. yamato is clearly see this as a good content.
This is nothing new. Pirate never has liked to apologise and bad mouths people all the time. For example still not have given apology to Accursedfarms for calling him greasy cars sales man and a grifter. He rather says that he has never done that, even if video evidence states otherwise. Should he get canceled? NO! But lets not lie here, this is what Pirate is and will most likely always be. Follow him if you don't see a problem, if you do don't follow. It is that simple.
Reasons why this got huge in a rough order: - RUclips-Shorts made this guy semi-famous because of his wholesome life advice clips, his reputation developed accordingly - This incident exposed his character and attitude as the complete opposite of that - His ego couldn't muster up a simple "In hindsight I could've done more, my bad" and imploded instead - Peak comedy ensues because people rightfully call him out and meme on him, especially after tons clips of him resurface where he reminisces about Mage in hardcore WoW as a "hero" class and that's why he supposedly loves and plays it - he doubles down MULTIPLE times and reignites the "drama" because he's just that blatantly, factually and demonstrably wrong about everything - additional clips of other streams of him playing other games come out because people start looking into him more because of a semi-streisand effect - turns out the guy was just a personified cliché of a toxic gamer with an ego greater than Napoleon's all along - the end
There actually is a clip of Pirate saying he should have done more. But shit stains that hate just want to hate. I'm getting tired to poking holes in these weird hate threads. Just accept that however bad Pirate is, you and your ilk are way worse.
This "past Pirate Software" things turn up on some comments under different videos. Noone exactly points out videos or content where you can experience his bad personality. Do you have any? I am legit interested, as I don't seem to find them myself.
Eye-opening video. Clicking on this video made me ask myself "What the fuck am I doing in my life?" after I realized I just spent some minutes watching some drama about some random grown ass men on the internet playing a video game and arguing over it. This is not a comment against the theScore or anyone involved, its just something I realized about the way I choose to spend my time on the internet. I started introspecting lol
wait, how did this set you off and not any of their other content? this comes across much more as "hey a dude I like is getting shit on" rather than "hey this was eye opening because I mean who really cares about this stuff amirite?"
@ you are right, other content SHOULD have set me off but it didn't. I guess this video made me realize how ridiculously I am spending my time so I commented here. But it could have been something else too.
@Beyblade0battles mind you I don't think you coming to your senses is a bad thing. I mean as long as you get to the right path that's the most important part, regardless of what sets it off
@ I know what you mean. Also, to add more context, I do not watch this channel a lot, I also don't know a single person mentioned in this video nor do I even know the host. So to me its literally just "Wow I just spent my time watching some drama about grown men playing video games" and that just brought me to my senses lol.
If you're going to cover a topic, you should at least 1) Actually understand the topic you're "reporting" on. Or, barring that 2) Actually do proper research into the entire situation so you don't end up sounding like fools when you inevitably don't know what is going on or why people were upset about PirateSoftware. Which you are. Typical theScore slop so it's not surprising.
Four morons blamed Pirate for re-engaging a fight in WoW while surrounded by mobs, with depleted resources, with their Mage on the other end of the dungeon. Then blamed the mage they literally ran away from to re-engage for the deaths after being in the clear for a good 3 to 5 seconds before re-engaging. Did I sum the situation up properly for you?
I swear how hard is it to cover a topic properly. Read if you can't do basic journalism. No one is upset that he wiped the team, it happens. It was him blaming others in magnitude of other clips for being "bad mages" it was him being unable to take a single ounce of accountability. He was kicked from the guild because he DID threaten any streamers that reacted to the content and brough light to his attitude, in a CONTENT guild. He did flex his "connection" to blizzard against multiple streamers, he constantly pulls this shit in every game and people can't stop laughing at his egotistical loser takes.
"We werent able to figure out who was doing the hating raiding" Ya, because he made it up. Yes there were viewers sending him hate and threats which isnt ok. But there were no "hate raids" organized by streamers and sent his way. He was using it as a strawman to also dismiss distract from all the valid criticism also coming his way from other Streamers. Right after that he pretty much openly admitted he was reporting streamers for covering the situation. And again doing so under the shroud of them "organizing hate raids or "starting drama."
I always though he was fishy for some reason. Idk, every time someone pretends to be a genius and is so opinionated on absolutely every topic conceivable, it gives me that vibe. BUT, I don't really think he is in the wrong here, it is hardcore wow and the "rules" are not the same. He is not wrong when he says the tank overpulled, and with 1hp and that little mana there is little to nothing he can do anyways. So yes, I think he just blows at the game and panicked. Don't understand this obsession that people have over forcing someone to apologize.
It's amazing how far a simple apology can get you. You don't even have to really mean it. But it requires putting aside your personal ego for someone else's ego. It looks like a net loss at first sight, but it grants you better relationships which in turn can feed your ego in the long run depending on your personality. So if you actually value power, it's in your best interest to apologize when someone else's ego gets hurt even if you don't think an apology is warranted.
How to tell that the commenters are from Figtree's cult? They'll say that its pointless to get mad at video game, that the drama is 'cringe', etc. Just accept the fact that your favourite streamer has god awful, god-complex, and a pretender.
"Just accept the fact that your favourite streamer has god awful, god-complex, and a pretender." My favorite part of all this is people describing themselves and projecting it onto Pirate then thinking it isn't obvious to us normal people that they aren't the trash.
Lol. I don't know who Figtree is but I am going to google him right now, sounds like a smart guy Update: Figtree doesn't exist, probably a typo or something
Lol both can be true at the same time you do realise. Pirate software can be a self centered douche, and getting mad over someone messing up a play badly in WoW is also cringe. People here really need to get a grip.
maldavius figtree finally getting exposed lol now that everyone is making vids on this he cant strike all of them like he does with smaller creators 🤣🤣
@ Most People are pissed because he didn't take accountability, tbh. The players are angry, sure. But this is the internet that are angry. The holier than thou attitude and refuse responsibility and quadrupling down on it is what actually make everyone mad. Especially when he is known for smuggly teaching people how to do stuff, and then just failing the basic.
Snuffy should have never changed to bear and pulled aggro, they should have run when they said run. They could have made it and due to their inexperience they blamed the mage as he's the most experienced, and they probably wanted to dog pile on pirate anyways. This is one reason I don't play hardcore in a group or guild, to much drama and finger pointing when you fuck up.
yamato see this as a content opportunity. I'm for sure he trying to get piratesoftware killed like the Healer. When he is basically standing for 10+ second where they could have run.
Very misleading video. Pirate does not deserve any pity (I’m not talking about the death threats, that’s just lunatics on the internet) Yeah, he was not low mana. With the robe and a mana gem, he had 3k mana. That’s enough for infinite amount of r1 nova, blizzard, anything. He even hovered on them, but decided to roach. If anyone wants an actual review of the situation, from the person, who knows something about the game, watch Savix take. Short version - no one dies in this situation with any mage that have more than one brain cell. And given, that he was bragging about, how wow is easy and he is a god player, everyone expected from him at least frost nova there. But he didn’t do anything. And after that he said, that he played perfectly and nothing he could’ve done. Which is a lie. The problem was created not from a play but from a behavior. And pirate was kicked not for the roach, it’s about him threatening other streamers. So in short, mask fall off, everyone knows now, what the kind of person this is.
i haven't played WoW in over 15 years but stumbled upon some content recently and have been watching RUclips videos. I'm just stunned by this drama. From a social experiment, I do find it fascinating but from a historical perspective, we are so flawed. There is an old saying: "Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". Everyone is flawed, everyone makes mistakes. What's important is that we LEARN from the experience. Pirate let his ego get in the way of humility and empathy and the community hated him for it. But did Pirate and the community learn anything from this? The fact that this is "just a game" is irrelevant; these are situations that we will all face at one time or another. We are emotional creatures and we will fail at times. Did we learn?
The call was to run, why did they even try to salvage the pull. Pirate was not in the wrong here, the wrong was the shot caller and the tank that didn't pull back the first pull. They should've kept running, the healer turned back to help those morons and got killed by doing so.
Pirate demonstrated a profound lack of integrity. Especially from someone who constantly positions himself on a moral high ground. That's what people are upset about and missing that entirely is wild work.
true. What I see as the main catalyst is that he had talked shit about other mage players that did something wrong, how one 'made him feel sick' as if he was this great mage player and made no such mistakes.. then you see him abandon his group and not even turn camera around when shit goes sideways :D it's hilarious to be honest
I don't play WOW but there is some kind of game sense you have to have when playing. Like sure the leader called everyone to run, but you dont even take a second to look at the situation. He just did a complete 180 and didn't look back. You can tell on his face when he is going down the steps he has gone back way to far and the rest of the group is still in trouble, but he chose to die on this stupid hill. He choked for sure.
This is the weirdest non-report 'reporting'. "Does that mean his party gets to skate for all the errors they made?" That's not even a question that needs to be asked... everyone agreed they messed up *expect* Pirate. No-one dumped all the blame on him. Despite Pirate saying they did, there are no clips anywhere from any players, streamers or wow vets doing so.
So tired of the "4 people are evil in their response therefore im immune to criticism" response. Im trying to imagine all the death clips we've seen, never has there been someone dismissing all the facts and absolving themselves of blame like this. Imagine if Soda didn't take blame for his death? He'd never hear the end of it.
That ashes of creation raid clip says it all for me Overnight lolcow He just had to be humble just once in his life and the mask couldve stayed on for another few years, but his narcissm couldn't even let him do that
Jesus christ, was this an advertisement paid for by PirateSoftware? Mentioning that he worked for blizzard 5 times within the first 2 minutes of the video. Not to mention you obscure all the facts just like he did. SHILLS.
They never said come back. If he had, the first death came before he would have made it. They also said that they noticed he was out of position to re-engage but then called the re-engage anyway. Whilst also agro'ing a third camp of mobs. Meanwhile, if they did continue to retreat, he did turn around to offer more help if they kept up the retreat. Which wouldn't have agro'd the third camp and likely would have saved everyone.
@somersault1123 he used max rank blizzard, which cost half his remaining mana, and didn't hold the channel. Later on when he was clearly safe he was popping ice shield and blink to keep his mana low to he could that as his excuse. Mind you he is sitting on mana gem AND Robes of the Archmage, both on use give mana. "This is salvageable, come on man." "Kill the, just kill the mastiffs, we got this." "No sense of walking out." And again, had he just admitted his misplays, or even just said he was scared, no one freaks out like that. It was ego that killed him.
I mean no offense, but atleast say sorry , it's a team effort. It doesn't have to be your fault just say sorry for the ones who died. But I don't understand he threatened other people
This is fake news. He got kicked from guild bcs he said that he will report streamers to blizard and twitch for harrassment , and banned 2k people on twitch.
and majority of the guild dont trust him anymore, wether he was in the wrong or not (i personally think not) doesnt matter, you cant run dungeons in HC with players you dont trust
He banned people from his stream on twitch because he was being hate brigaded. And the streamers he was talking about reporting were getting their viewers to do it.
@@bigk24 yes they will still trust that guy because that guy owned up to his faults :) unlike this furry of a mage who PRAISES HIMSELF to be an ex blizzard employee, 20years of wow veteran experience, talks about how good of a mage he is, but when shit goes down, he cant do a single thing like he keeps on saying before that eventful massacre
This channel is so disingenuous, they should want a job at blizzard lol pirate is a pathological liar, who blames other for his mistakes, and pretends to solve puzzle games after reading the answers. Everything about him is fake even his voice
I mostly agree... Though the voice thing is a wild take, since we have him talking at the streamer awards with the same voice... Maybe the whole streamer community is in on it, and they are held to an NDA so they still can't talk about it despite calling him out on everything else
It's character, the result matters more than the actual issue. How he reacted made all the difference in the world, and at that point it didn't matter.
From my MMO experience., it is the tanks that are solely responsible full pulls. You pull to early, its your fault if they wipe. If ya pull too many, you best be prepared to fall of the enemy sword to save the raid. Never, NEVER has it been anyone elses fault. Unless a dps of crazier, a healer decides to pull. That is instant grounds to be booted from a raid, and potentially the guild entirely depending on your reputation in the guild. So all this being said, the tank fucked up. Didnt want to take blame, and decided to whine about it and put a good hearted streamer on blast.
Then isnt that contradictory? Why are we making a grown man apologize for something we dont care about? Isnt that being egotistical as well, hypocritical much? This is so silly lmao..
@ we are pointing and laughing at a poorly matured man-child. Cope all you want for your fav parasocial relationship youve built, but when you are a streamer you open yourself up for criticism.

So here's my take:
Was Pirate the only one to blame for the deaths?
They just wanted him to realize that he could've done more and simply say "Sorry that I didn't help out as much as I could have."
Was a /gkick too much? I think a /gkick was valid. It is in the best interest of both the OnlyFangs guild and Pirate himself. That being said I think he should have the ability to get a second chance if he decides to try and get one. We all make mistakes, some bigger than others, and sometimes it takes some time to reflect on it and do better.
Overall this situation has blown up more than it should have and it's sad to see.
I have no hate towards PirateSoftware, I think he's a great dude, just handled this situation a bit poorly. Happens to the best of us. Learn, Regain and move forward.
Just a bunch of haters. lol discomfort at his presence - what a bunch of snowflakes.
This needs more engagement honestly, the best take I've seen so far

I don’t even watch the guy and I know who he is
what mistake did he do ? I'm asking honestely. I don't play wow, but he did say "run", it's not his fault that the other guys didn't follow his call right ? or what am i missing ?
Your argument is silly. He wasn’t kicked from the guild over the game, he was kicked over his behavior, and believe it or not most people in this guild are doing this as their job. So yea did it happen in a game? Yes, but it’s with the highest stakes possible and these people make money off the content and have for a long time.

@TCHrulez Sorry to tell you but run in WoW doesn't mean blow all your mana on blinks unless the situation is particularly dire, which it wasn't. You could say
'Ok guys we are going to retreat. Drop party to start the one minute timer to be teleported out of the dungeon. Now, if you are a healer keep healing low health targets. If you are a mage, make sure to use to use low ranked frostbolts, frost novas and blizzards. If you have any other CC or utility, make sure to use it to help slower party members get out'
but you would all be dead before you have finished saying it. Instead the community has assigned the word 'run' to the phrase above because seconds count. The term 'kite' has a different meaning. Kite involves using CC so the tank doesnt have to fully tank the mobs. That is different from a call to actually attempt to escape the pull and leave the dungeon.
Same thing in the army. Retreat doesnt mean full sprint and save yourself, however rather than the officer taking 5 minutes to explain exactly what he wants you to do in the moment, that training would have come before, and retreat is just a quick way to execute that command.

Well, the exit was near, and they should regroup before going back in. from other MMO's i've played, if a retreat is called, it's not questioned. you retreat. everyone gets out immediately, the healer is the first one who has to get out since they're usually the squishiest and if they die, it's over anyway. they can fall back a little to cast a mass heal if available, but if not, they have to run the fastest. if its called and you keep engaging, your death is YOUR fault. yours, and yours alone. if you're stuck and you die despite other people using knock back and aoe stun moves to help you, it's unlucky, but you have no room to talk.

@@lisaanimi He's not though lol. They jumped on him for nothing and he had nothing to apologize for, but they're demanding one from him.

Here's the thing I don't understand, why does everyone want an apology from PirateSoftware?
Obviously he didn't play hero and "help" get his teammates out, okay. But from the clips, I see a raid gone bad, a retreat call was made, he used a spell and ran. The other players for some reason RAN BACK IN with absolutely no communication, apparently aggro'd way too many enemies and then died from THEIR bad decisions.
Why does he have to apologize for not playing the hero and changing their diapers after they shit themselves?
Because they were upset and wanted something to blame other than their collective mistakes. PirateSoftware did all he could manage to do in that moment.
he had a mana item, the fact he said he had no mana when a mage has lot of utilities abd responsibilities which he lied to his teammates for is unforgivable. therefore pirate will forever be hated and i bet his career will fall off soon.

he used max lvl blizzard on a boss imune to slows, and told them "i had to use all my mana to save u guys" 😥
As someone who was neutral to this guy (just a general wtf when he spoke so highly of himself as a gamer) but this is a breakdown of why this got so much attention:
1) Lack of empathy (non-existant)
2) 0 accountability, 2 people died and all he could say was "you this" "you that".
How he reacted when he was shown a clip of him doing the mistake he blamed the raid for? He deflected and changed argument.
Playing bad / wrong will just generate a meme, being extremely arrogant while being extremely bad at the game will generate aoe dislikes. Sadly his fanbase seems to be brainwashed and will just eat whatever BS he has to say.

Should he get canceled? NO! But lets not lie here, this is what Pirate is and will most likely always be. Follow him if you don't see a problem, if you do don't follow. It is that simple.
Reasons why this got huge in a rough order:
- RUclips-Shorts made this guy semi-famous because of his wholesome life advice clips, his reputation developed accordingly
- This incident exposed his character and attitude as the complete opposite of that
- His ego couldn't muster up a simple "In hindsight I could've done more, my bad" and imploded instead
- Peak comedy ensues because people rightfully call him out and meme on him, especially after tons clips of him resurface where he reminisces about Mage in hardcore WoW as a "hero" class and that's why he supposedly loves and plays it
- he doubles down MULTIPLE times and reignites the "drama" because he's just that blatantly, factually and demonstrably wrong about everything
- additional clips of other streams of him playing other games come out because people start looking into him more because of a semi-streisand effect
- turns out the guy was just a personified cliché of a toxic gamer with an ego greater than Napoleon's all along
- the end
"Streisand effect" - Thank you for introducing me on this term. I never knew this effect had a name.

I thought exactly what the OP said, checked the comments and saw my own thoughts written out like I'm stood in Lumine Hall. I need to get a life.
One apology away of being literal World of Warcraft history as the biggest roach
"We werent able to figure out who was doing the hating raiding"
Ya, because he made it up.
Don't understand this obsession that people have over forcing someone to apologize.
got banned from his twitch today for asking if he apologized.
This Iceberg goes deeper, if u want to learn more watch GrappLr's new videos
2:20 that blink cut there with his low mana is important there :D
It's amazing how far a simple apology can get you. You don't even have to really mean it. But it requires putting aside your personal ego for someone else's ego. It looks like a net loss at first sight, but it grants you better relationships which in turn can feed your ego in the long run depending on your personality. So if you actually value power, it's in your best interest to apologize when someone else's ego gets hurt even if you don't think an apology is warranted.
I wish i had enough free time in my life to worry about this kinda drama.
bro you watched an entire video and commented about it. your time is meaningless
This is the type of energy we need. Great vibes.
How to tell that the commenters are from Figtree's cult? They'll say that its pointless to get mad at video game, that the drama is 'cringe', etc.
Just accept the fact that your favourite streamer has god awful, god-complex, and a pretender.
"Just accept the fact that your favourite streamer has god awful, god-complex, and a pretender."
My favorite part of all this is people describing themselves and projecting it onto Pirate then thinking it isn't obvious to us normal people that they aren't the trash.
Lol. I don't know who Figtree is but I am going to google him right now, sounds like a smart guy
Update: Figtree doesn't exist, probably a typo or something
Lol both can be true at the same time you do realise. Pirate software can be a self centered douche, and getting mad over someone messing up a play badly in WoW is also cringe. People here really need to get a grip.
@@MrIndiemusic101 No, no, clearly you have to be biased if you disagree with him on his very unbiased opinion.
@@somersault1123 he's not going to suck you, lil bro. It's okay to admit he's not who he's showing on shorts
maldavius figtree finally getting exposed lol now that everyone is making vids on this he cant strike all of them like he does with smaller creators 🤣🤣
you know theScore is struggling with that bread when they make a drama vid
With the AoC incident you really can't trust Thor when he says things like "you pulled this pack" He likely pulled them himself lol
and now with the cheating allegations two singleplayer games lmao. This guys ego is massive
It's crazy how so few see through his god complex and lack of accountability. Being surrounded by yes men your entire life really does inflate egos.
he said caring about a VIDEO GAME this much
@@eatmypost9500 They are WOW streamers, their game character is their work and livelihood.
@ so what, make a new one, new content easy solution
Since when does publicly apologizing do anything?
Unstable force vs unmovable ego
i think the whole situation was blown outta proportion for no reason cause of everyones ego
yamato's ego* ;d the rest of the dungeon ppl who died or were in this didn't really say shit lol
yamato see this as a content opportunity. I'm for sure he trying to get piratesoftware killed like the Healer. When he is basically standing for 10+ second where they could have run.
Very misleading video.
Pirate does not deserve any pity (I’m not talking about the death threats, that’s just lunatics on the internet)
Yeah, he was not low mana.
It's not just lunatics on the internet there Is a reason the criminal justice system exist
i haven't played WoW in over 15 years but stumbled upon some content recently and have been watching RUclips videos.
Amen
This is about the dumbest shit I've ever heard
I know... XD
That ashes of creation raid clip says it all for me
Overnight lolcow
He just had to be humble just once in his life and the mask couldve stayed on for another few years, but his narcissm couldn't even let him do that
Pirate's finally getting ego checked. I see no problem here.
Jesus christ, was this an advertisement paid for by PirateSoftware? Mentioning that he worked for blizzard 5 times within the first 2 minutes of the video. Not to mention you obscure all the facts just like he did. SHILLS.
Thescore didnt want to be put on the list 🗿
"You're obscuring the facts!" Proceeds to not mention a single "fact".
They went in with no mama and pulled agro with no plan. Womp womp skill issue
This would have been nothing if Pirate had just said, "My bad."
Just wanna know if he actually cheated some spreedruns or not don’t care about wow that’s literally the 🤓 emoji
They literally said come back and help kill the mastiffs it's salvageable. It's his ego that did him in.
"This is salvageable, come on man." "Kill the, just kill the mastiffs, we got this." "No sense of walking out."
And again, had he just admitted his misplays, or even just said he was scared, no one freaks out like that. It was ego that killed him.
For an ex-Blizzard employee for 7 years, it's surprising to see him not even cast Blizzard more than once.
Did you know Steve Jobs died of ligma?
Pirate: "I worked at Blizzard for 7 years"
Isn't he that idiot that still developing that undertale clone that he spent 6 years to develop ?
YandereDev 2
Basically nothing happened besides pointless blame game 😂
@@Mito383he banned the majority of those people for just saying “mana gem” in his chat
@@Tom-bi7ir but they trust the guy who triple pulled a boss when his mage was at 30%?
@@bigk24 yes they will still trust that guy because that guy owned up to his faults :) unlike this furry of a mage who PRAISES HIMSELF to be an ex blizzard employee, 20years of wow veteran experience, talks about how good of a mage he is, but when shit goes down, he cant do a single thing like he keeps on saying before that eventful massacre
This channel is so disingenuous, they should want a job at blizzard lol
pirate is a pathological liar, who blames other for his mistakes, and pretends to solve puzzle games after reading the answers. Everything about him is fake even his voice
I mostly agree... Though the voice thing is a wild take, since we have him talking at the streamer awards with the same voice...
Maybe the whole streamer community is in on it, and they are held to an NDA so they still can't talk about it despite calling him out on everything else
Now you're on the list , was it worth it, buddy?
Nobody cares about his mistake. It’s his cringe ego
@@republicangenz I didnt even know who Pirate was until Escore posted this and this jumped in my feed. I dont know why you people always jump to conclusions and rush to accusations when the obvious is right in front you. In essence I really just think this is silly, and specially for Escore whos main headline today is a discord argument over a game?? And how one grown man isnt gonna bend over backwards over said game? Really?? Thats the hottest topic they can scrounge up? This is whats interesting to you people?
@@proudfirebrand3946 The irony is you clicking on the video then posting 3+ comments complaining about people caring. Got anything to tell us man? We wont judge!
So people are using something that wasn't his mistake to blame him for - because they don't like him?
Seems toxic to me.
Worst summary ever. Either partisan or missed the point.
I dont get it
It would be a terrible summary if it was "We don't like Thor's personality and we're going to smear him - because we know the current drama doesn't justify they hate he received".
Because that's all this is; blaming him for something that wasn't his fault because some snowflakes don't like him.
