These trays look useful. I’m thinking of getting the DeWalt tough system because of the DS carrier, the wall rack and the trays - one problem is that my local HD barely has any DW tough system boxes…I really want to get my hands on them before buying (I’ve heard some talk about the latches and hinges on the 2.0 being suspect). Is there some other alternative place to see the lineup?
Different Home Depots. I have a few depots within a 30 minute drive and several within a hour drive. I can def say some have barely any Tough System 2.0 products if any at all while others are LOADED with product. It depends on what sells in that area. Hinges being suspect? Nah that sounds like the 'same old stuff' people who don't have the product say just to say something negative. I use and ABUSE packout, stack pack and tough system 2.0(and other storage system) daily. A particular box sits in a location in my truck where the hinges get physically beat up, slammed, dirty, and overly abused just because of their location. They're physically scratched up and look a bit beaten, but they function perfect, they hold tight and IF they were gonna break, trust me, they would have broken by now. I'll make a short about those hinges and post it tomorrow, it'll def prove those hinges strong and not a weakness.
Really disappointing that they don't include inserts/separators for the trays. Huge misstep and the biggest complaint about this system that I've seen. You shouldn't have to make your own.
Was literally searching for them on ebay and etsy tonight. I tried making some with luan. Just looked terrible. Anyone with a 3d printer can make some serious $$$

The trays fit and work the same with the Tough System 1?
I can't confirm. The adapter allows the boxes to connect, but i'm not sure about the trays.
