Vito, you dont understand, if you buy a coin now yeah you may lose money but give it to your grandchildren if theyre in need of money they can sell it for probably 5x What your bought it for because its probably 100 years older by the time with your grandchildren
Matthew The Great Coin Roll Hunter i agree with you only if i had a billion i would buy a coin like that. But with 10m. A beautiful house and exotic car sounds better.
great video helps others to see if they have a chance to search for a few types of coins. Thank you for your time to do your research and showing the hobby.
I have some of collection coin such as : 1. Silver coin liberty one dollar 1879,1885,1891 2. Coin Liberty head nickel cent 1883,1907,1911 3. Coin One dime 1892,1907 4. Coin One cent indian head 1892 & 1896 5. Coin Liberty half dollar 1907
As a professional numismatist, auctually handeling some of these coins, this list has many errors especially with values and order. But still fun to watch...
I have the following coins, can you give me a number value? 1) 1962 quarter 2)1979 Susan B. Anthony dollar 3) 3 extremely fine wheat pennies 4) 6 Bicenttenial quarters. Thanks!
Value depends upon grade (condition), where minted, and rarity. Your '62 quarter is worth about 10x face (unless it is uncirc or better), Susie B is worth face (unless it's uncirc or better), same for the Bi Centennials. The Wheaties: it all depends upon the 3 things I mentioned at the beginning.
Hello TopTenz, I like all of your videos so far and I think you should have alot more subscribers. If you get any hate or complains from people don't worry about them and keep up the good work.
it is nice to show those valuable coins. The chances that any of us will get ahold of one is slim to none. I still have a 1776 continental currency coin i'd like to sell. After showing it to the British Antiques roadshow and had established its authenticity, they offered me a mere $3200.00 for the coins numismatics worth of upwards of $200,000.00. I turned down their paltry offer.
Those sure put my buffalo nickle to shame. It is still one of the rarest coins to most average collectors though. My mom has been coin collecting for longer than I have been alive, and she doesn't even have one. It is kind of fun to bring that up sometimes.
Poisson Volant you seem to know a lot I have a 1943 wheat penny but it's not shiny like a quarter that people say are common it looks like another penny from that time
I have been collecting for 15 years still have all the coins cause never had a way to go get them certified by a company. I have a lot of errors. Did you know that the Redbook has a mistake about the president dollars being silver but I don't recall if the Bluebook has same mistake. Thank you!
Without more info it's tough to give values, but here's are some _very_ rough retail (selling, not buying) prices for circulated ones: > Kennedy half dollar - 50¢ if dated 1971 or later, maybe 3 bucks for 1965-69, $6-$8 for 1964 > 1910 Lincoln cent - 15¢ to $4 if no mint mark, $9 to $40 with an "S" under the date > Susan B. Anthony dollar - face value only > 1924 buffalo nickel - $1 to $10 with no mint mark, $7 to $150 with a "D" below FIVE CENTS, $15 to $500 with an "S" The doubloon and Canadian coins would need dates, conditions, etc.
Of course none of us will ever likely own any of those expensive coins but I once owned four draped bust silver dollars including a 1797 that was PCGS certified in VF30 condition. All of them were beautiful. I sold them all to help buy my farm and got only $1,460.00 for the 1797 some years ago. I have yet to find another as nice for less than $8,000.00 or so. I got around $3,000.00 for the other three but I may be destined to never have a 1797 dollar again. I have a small collection of old coins but none compare to once owning those 4 draped bust silver dollars! Glad I have the farm now but wish I could have found a way to buy it withouts selling those lovely rare dollars.😞😖😞
That 1794 is NOT WORTH 2 MILLION!!!!! At number 10. You can pick one up for $20,000 in bad condition. There is one that has a silver plug sold for 10 million(most expensive coin every sold). But only special editions such as the one with the silver plug are worth that.
supercat gamer look up examples online and compare things such as color and design. Those are the 2 most common aspects of a fake that are off. If it was a really well made fake and you cant tell the difference try weighing the coin and see if it matches with what sources online say it should weigh
+Jeff Schwartz Only 484,000 1909-S VDB (for Victor D. Brenner, its designer) cents were made. The most valuable one is worth about $500,000. Not exactly a million but with those bucks who's counting?
#1 there are only 15 pieces known, the finest came across the pogue coin collection auction where it would have sold for around 10.5 million but the reserve was held to a higher amount; this was may 24, 2016. All in all, double check your facts and sources...
I have a Saint Gaudens Gold $20 Double Eagle replica, its larger in size....how much do you think its worth ?????? About 10 years ago I got an offer of $600 from a collector ....I wish I knew how much it is worth.
The value of a replica depends on what it's made of. Some of them are made of cheap metal with gold or silver plating and are only worth a buck or two. Others may have some precious metal in them so they're at least worth their melt value. In general none are worth anywhere near as much as the originals.
People you have to educate the cashiers where you usually buy everyday . Me everyweekend get good coins from diferent places i buy my coffee. They save them for me 😁
+julia peters That's a cool find! If you look at the back it says ONE DOLLAR; it's an Eisenhower $1 coin minted for the Bicentennial celebration 40 years ago. Unfortunately most of them are made of copper-nickel and aren't worth much more now than they were back then. But if yours has an "S" mint mark on the front but does not have a copper ring around the edge it's made of 40% silver and is worth at least 4 to 6 bucks.
I have a 2004 quarter it is a Texas it’s a closed one it has a cowboy on a horse he is lasso a man that looks like he’s Saudi Arabia I haven’t seen anything like this before
It depends on the date and type. There are some super-rare San Fran Barber dimes like the 1894 proof, but other dates were struck by the millions for circulation.
+Sean Daly If the date is 1810 you should have it checked by a knowledgeable collector or dealer because it's likely to be either a fantasy piece or a fake. No $1 coins were minted between 1804 and 1836.
I have one American coin from 1797.
if you had 10 million dollars seriously why would you not buy yourself a nice coin
Maybe somebody doesn't wanna pay over a thousand times for the face value of a coin?
Vito, you dont understand, if you buy a coin now yeah you may lose money but give it to your grandchildren if theyre in need of money they can sell it for probably 5x What your bought it for because its probably 100 years older by the time with your grandchildren
uplifting tech If I had that much money, I wouldn't have time for coins. Hundred dolla bills yall!!

I have a 1972 dollar coin but I can't describe how it looks like

Buffalo nickels are one of the most common coins... They sell for 80 cents at coin stores.
You have a warped definition of common. The change you find lying around are common coins. A buffalo nickle is a coin many people have never seen.
and buffalo nickles are anything but rare
I wish I had a coins like those I only have a 1886 and 1890 Morgan silver dollar and 1918 wheat penny
I have a supposed 2008 Andrew Jackson gold coin but on edge it shows 2003.. wat does that mean?
Means part of the 8 possibly rubbed off giving it the appearance of 2003
Can you do the 10 most expensive necklaces in the world please.
6:47 "With only 19 known copies known to exist." Better than the 19 unknown copies known to exist I suppose hahaha
You forgot to mention the 1849 double eagle pattern, valued at around $20,000,000.
I have a 1900 indian head
Nice find! In average condition, it might sell for a dollar or so.

The 1794 dollar sold at auction for $10,061,000. It is the most valuable coin ever minted.
+HorizonHunter An Islamic coin sold privately for $17,000,000 back in 2010, it is the rarest Islamic coin ever struck, minted in Mecca
Who cares.
i like them all

I own a Double Eagle coin incased in plastic. It's silver in color though & a bit heavy. I got it from my grandma from my mother's side.
I have been collecting for 15 years still have all the coins cause never had a way to go get them certified by a company. I have a lot of errors. Did you know that the Redbook has a mistake about the president dollars being silver but I don't recall if the Bluebook has same mistake. Thank you!
I have one American dollar since 1800
I HAVE #3!
The Narrator called the book the wrong name. He called it the Silver Dollars of 1974 instead of 1794!
He also says coins are "printed". Paper money is printed, coins are "minted".
I know a guy in my town who has a 1791 American pattern coin
i have
Spanish doubloon
Kennedy half dollar
1910 penny
Susan half dollar
1924 nickel
and other Canadian coins
Without more info it's tough to give values, but here's are some _very_ rough retail (selling, not buying) prices for circulated ones:

I had a real sliver nickel from ww2 and my mom used it ;-; i hope someone finds out about that nickle
I thought the kissing Abraham Lincoln penny would be in here, but that was a mistake and there is only one... And i don't even come from the U.S!
+- ThePenguinOre They're novelty items made by using a metal punch to add pictures to normal pennies. Not mistakes, I'm afraid, and not worth much.

More like $1000
Poisson Volant, that has never happened
so happen that I have one of this top coins, who I shall approach please and thanks
Coins are not printed, they are struck. Notes are printed. Printing involves ink.
