Sounds like that will never be heard again. There's no appreciation of good music. Today's groups don't last very long because of their egos. Everyone wants to be number one.
3:50 por fin una buena interpretación de este tema, por lo general las versiones posteriores le eliminan el punteo de la guitarra y le agregan otros mas suaves y sin sabor.
Something doesn't add up. I'm going on 80 years old. TJ lipinski was born in 1972. And yet he talks about all the people he's met back when they had these hits and his grandfather's Savoy record label etc etc etc. So he must have started meeting these people when he was how old???... Just sayin...
I was born a year later and know this music very much. Part of a doo world radio she and close friends with Lennie baker from Sha na na so yes anything can happen
Baritone David Lerchey (1937 - 2005) appears to be completely lost on the choreography. I find that puzzling since, according to Wikipedia, "Lerchey formed another Del Vikings group in the mid-90s shortly before his death in January 29, 2005." I wonder how his singing was at this point in his life.
The other three fellows- Norman Wright, Ritzy Lee and Doug White had been working together since 1960 and had been working alone as a trio all through the 1990s. Their choreography was tight. When they had a big show, Dave would come in and join them.
David and I were very good friends. At this point, Dave was having serious health issues. He spent a great deal of time at the Miami VA Hospital. He helped to school my group on many topics of the business do's and don'ts. His voice wasn't at it's best, however he still had a near perfect pitch ear.
Whispering bells, heard it at my uncle's house 1957, Wilmington, California, loved the Del Vikings ever since.
Awesome!
Such a neat clip! What a band. I'm sure few, if any, are still with us, RIP to those who are not.

Can't Wait, Come Go With Me, Whispering Bells, Cool Shake, Come Along With Me, Sunday Kind of Love, all great songs! Good old doo-wop!
Love Del vikings, Norman Wright has a wonderful voice and scene personality
Norman, was down to earth. Off stage,he acts like a uncle, that takes no mess, yet cool to be around.
They need to make a movie of this group
The best thing that ever came out of pontiac michigan by far was the ORIGINAL Dell~Vikings
I’m from Mexico 🇲🇽 but I love this music 🎼.
The notes and tone on Sunday Kind of Love are spot on. Salute!
RIP Norman Wright and David Lerchy
@Korbin Jamari
You are totally correct. Frankly, we don't give a damn.
True music lives on love this
I had no idea he was doing the lead vocals on this song
David Lerchey and I were, very good friends. I miss him. Only David and Norman were, the original members in this clip.
What was it like knowing David Lerchey?
WOW SO GOOD GUYS!!
Wonderful. Thanks for upload

Not the same without the horn solo!

Well a lot of these guys were aging when he met them in the late 90s-early 00s. He was in 20s and 30s at that point.

@@jessicaallen901 My point is, he claims he met all these people way back when... So I say, do the math LOL. Thanks for responding... Happy Easter

Mr. Lerchey was in his 60s in this performance. That could be why.
