"Sir, we are out of men!"
"Excellent, that means they are out of bullets. We have them right where we want them!"
Russian MOD in bakhmut or skaven ? We will never know i guess
@@CaisiusJ AHAHAH I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT AND YOU DIDNT DISAPPOINT!!!
@Axis thank you I will be here all week , yes yes 😅
hahaha yes
Pirates of the Vampire coast: we can only have one Queen Bess, it is such a powerfull unit
Chaos dwarves :👁👄👁
Ikr xD its not even that powerful cause enimies will dodge it 9 times outa 10 less their boged down or less your on siege battles
@Alex Nevskygod I'm pretty sure the AI dodges in Warhammer 3 while it didn't in Warhammer 2. I didn't play VCoast too long ago and Queen Bess rarely it if it didn't shoot dwarfs.
I just think its unfair by now how strong the Charws are compared to coast.
@@rursorrow2526 you are correct. They dodge queen bess in game 3 while they didn't in game 2. Makes the unit way less powerful (especially with dreadquakes not having that problem)
@@yamochanchan *compared to most factions. Their casting is bs (almost no cost with higher reserves than almost any other faction) + broken artillery
“It really feels like this AI was programmed by a WW1 British general. I mean, the game was made in Britain”
Lmao, that got me
I'm a simple Man, i see a doomstack that isnt a one unit spam and i like it
I'm such a simple man, that I see anything that isn't one unit spam as unnecessarily complicated.
I am a simple man, if I see an army that is a doom stack I like it
Seems like the opposite of a simple man
Same here I build my armies to be fully balanced
Isn’t that not a doomstack then? Just a normal army right
" Sir we are being bombed, what should we do. "
" Use up our men untill they run out of bullets. "
The skavenspy hiding in the bushes. "superior skaven tactics yes-yes"
More balanced doomstacks are always so enjoyable to see, especially when they have more than 2 different units and heroes, like what was shown here.
And that artillery was hilarious! The High Elves apparently watched Blackadder Goes Forth and thought the British general in charge was a genius.
But..... It is t really a "doomstack" if it's a bunch of different units. Its just a really good army.
@@todhold2673what’s the difference?
@@todhold2673 Wait, isn't a doomstack "An army that performs at the highest level for the given faction or Lord"? I didn't think you had to spam a unit for it to be one. I mean a Skaven weapon team doomstack has artillery, jezzails, ratlings, plague priests and possibly a doom wheel right? For Cathay a doomstack looks like a regular army because of the yinyang thing, except with the high tier units instead of the regular ones.
They are called "high elves" because the dreadquake mortar blows them sky high
Maybe they are 'high' for bringing bows against mortars
That one eagle at 11:50 got absolutely shredded
Then the dragon at 12:30. So satisfying watching them melt :D
Legend you had me chuckling during the bombardment phase
"It was a simple matter of outthinking the killbots. You see, killbot have a pre-set kill limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own men at them, until they reached their limit and shut down" - CA Programing team
You ended the battle with 166 casts of Final Transmutation waiting for you to use.
We need more doomstacks like this
Yeah I never liked one unit type doomstack, powerful but boring like for example Shades or Sisters of Avelrorn
@@CapybaraConnoisseur89 My thoughts exactly
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that he's got this massive of an empire at turn 105?! I have like 2.5k hours in the trilogy and hot damn that's impressive
Chaos dwarfs are like that.
Once they start rolling there is no stopping them.
I had a domination victory (I basically painted the entire map) with Astagoth by turn 90-something in RoC map, which is soooo much faster than everyone else.
I've played a lot of wh3 and am really liking Chorfs but holy shit that's incredible at 105
Holy.
I've avoided watching WH3 content and anything related to the Chaos dwarfs but those artillery pieces are absolutely savage. That splash radius and the damage, it honestly feels like a slightly scaled down version of the doom rocket except it can keep shooting and there's more of them.
I'd remove 2-3 Infernal Ironsworn and add some Blunderbusses instead. More balanced and less heavy on the armamentslots. Not a bad army though.
God I love bussies
@@fedyx1544 that blunderbussi cannot be matched
adds some bussy for better balance
just completely replace the infantry with blunderbusses and castellans. Use the castellans as speed bumps and for the smoke bombs.
@@fedyx1544 ngl, those blunderbussies make me act unwise sometimes.
At 4:23 it reminded me of pirates of the Caribbean, "it's just... business" and walks down onto the deck while the ship is getting shot to bits😂
Zapp Brannigan is the commander of these high elves.
This is why I like the colonel. He has army suggestions based on stage of game play and they're not doom stacks they're just balanced and how they're supposed to be balanced.
I'd love to see more of this!
"Brighter than the sun."
Those mortars remind me of the nuke cannon units from C&C: Generals. xD
6:00 Jesus Christ. 14:13 Chaos Dwarf voices are so funny sounding, I love it.
That Eagle bolt flying across the screen with the whirl sound at 7:10 was cool haha
WH3 AI is Zapp Brannigan from Futurama
And thats when the high elves start having Vietnam flashbacks
AI is using the ol' Zapp Brannigan technique.
Definitely more interesting and fun to use than 17 identical units. I like this one a lot !👌
Really reminds me of the skaven weapons team doomstack. One change I would make is to put one or two more infernal castellans in there for more ammo replenishment
This is my kind of army, something which required a bit of work but is so capable. Makes beating multiple stacks so satisfying
“Made by a WW1 British General”
Ah yes. Battle of Somme reference.
casually replenishing artillery ammo so good
Great army, but dumping 1 ironsworn and 1 fireglave for 2 blunderbusses would be ideal. You'd have to position and micro them a bit but they'd definitely help with the few units that do get into melee with the front line if you can rotate them around their flanks.
In my late game campaigns is more or less 1 or 2 doomstacks, 1 or 2 of these elite armies, 5 or 20 of chaff stupid weird or thematic armies that run around taking what is left or just razing everything. Was fun to have 2 armies of late game buffed to the guiles flagellants going together into a suicide frenzies
It's fun trying to win battles with hobgoblin armies in late game. Gotta love some wolf archers with buffs.
I actually really like the showcase of factional elite armies. What works, what doesn't, and all that. Would love to see Skaven ones
"We've seen the dreadquake mortar! Show us something else!"
No. I need more dreadquakes. I can't have enough.
This is basically the army I settled on in my first playthrough and it was really fun. Not nearly as optimized of course, but it is extremely forgiving given how powerful all of the constituent parts are.
It is still awesome to see these effects!
"This isn't going to win us the battle outright", it's just hilarious.
The AI feels like it was made so hard not to blob up and get cheesed. Last night i fought three VC armies as imrik. I just hid my army while is sent imrik, my mage, and 2 dragons sniping all the lords heroes and high level units. Their army just ignored me while i did it and kept searching.
Ghoul watching his lord getting eaten by a dragon: " You ok boss?"
Vampire lord: "yeah i got this, keep searching the woods!"
Chaos Dwarves really just out here playing World War 1
"The AI doesnt even think". You can finish the sentence here.
Artillery and firing lines is always satisfying to watch
Legend: well, this game was made in Britain
*Yea that explains this a lot*
What?
It's good? China's military record versus Britain's is terrible. Has China ever won a war?
Elves led by general melchett from blackadder 😂
Jesus those mortors. One volley and a unit routs. Insane
for the dreadfire mortar targeting, i suggest 2 things 1) put them into groups 1-4 so u can just hit the number and right click to rapid change targets much easier and faster. 2) maybe use target ground sometimes when having aiming difficulties and huge blobs are forming
Holy crap, I didn’t even know you can target ground
@@shmekelfreckles8157 hold alt with artillery selected and right click the ground to do so
Man the chaos dwarf armies are so strong. I've had so much fun using mixed armies and doom stacks.
I can't help but think the Dreadquake Mortar projectile in flight and explosion on impact was inspired by the Sturmtiger from Sudden Strike.
my goodness, the first time i went up against just one artillery piece as nurgle, i was impressed by the firepower
that thing actually did serious dmg to single entities as well
Having such powerful artillery as fast as some cavalry is a balance decision that baffles me
Pretty sure they take up 2 unit limit slots
Yeah, it's not like they cost 5k and have upkeep of 1k or something
8:02 the greatest weakness of artillery, testudo formation
Was the thumbnail from chronicles of Riddick where Vin diesel does the dagger trick or is it some Thanos hand cause it's purple
Holy crap those mortars are strong!
Finally, some good f#*king "Balanced" army.
*committing war crimes* "It's working as intended"
what I wanna see is how to counter chaos drwfs while playng as other races ( especially keslive) cause their artillery feels broken
Take a Lord (or any other durable single entity) and blow them to pieces with their own mortars.
Little grom would demolish CD artillery. CD arty is not good at duelling. And Heroes, yeah. Throw
them up front. I don't think Kislev has other great tools for shutting down artillery, though. Unless you want to throw away dervishes.
Their blunder buss absolutely shred
@@fiveforbiting I"ll try hero currently I have 4 heros in army fighting them I'll try up the number of heros
Little Groms are the way. They out duel CD arty. Put your characters and Groms up front and keep your infantry back. Let their arty target your single entities while your Groms focus down their arty, and you should be able to quickly eliminate their arty while taking little damage in return. Streltsy are great against Chorfs as well, they out-range Blunderbusses, they shred their melee infantry, and are pretty decent in melee as well. Ice Guard with glaives are also good against Chorfs. War Bear Riders and Sleds are also good. Fire Glaives and Bull Centaurs are probably the units that Kislev has the hardest time dealing with. In my own Chorf campaign it was Kislev that gave me the hardest time on the battlefield.
Infernal ironsworn blasting charges kinda melt large SEMs like rite of primeval glory armies, so 7 of them could really do some damage alongside final transmutation spamming and fireglaives.
I prefer deathshriekers over solo-dreaquake mortars. Maybe 2 of the 2 capacity units and 2 deathshriekers for the backline and swap 2 or so melee ironswornn for some blunderbusses as they are great to take care of fast fliers and single entities and still pretty durable. If the enemy doesn't have super fast units, the twin carraige trains also work wonders for confusing the AI and allowing you to spread out their arrival on your backline a bit (kinda like a leader on a screaming bell can do at times for skaven weapons teams).
That was basically the first day of the Somme but for high elves ahah
Great video, nice commentary and great idea on a mixed stack chaos dwarfs
The amount of times i had a lord with 35 speed outrun a lord with 40 speed without either being particularly tired...
I think the main thing thos army is missing is bull centaurs. It's almost criminal not to have them in Astragoths army due to his insane buffs to them. I would put three or four dual weapon variants personally and take out one mortar and a couple infernal ironsworn.
Adding 2 or 3 blunderbuss is also worth considering. They are just so effective. More than 3 though gives diminishing returns for your gun line
This is a zhatan army, though
Even against a rite of primeval glory army you could fly the metal caster ahead and use 1WOM final transmutation on repeat and those fireglaves would butcher them
All in all, this game is really well balanced and the AI is programmed well.
I think it would be cool to show off the best early game full stack (before turn 20 or something) for every faction
gaming AI is going to be invincible within a couple of years lol
They are Chaos Dwarfs not for who they worship but for what they can cause on the battlefield :D
There is AlphaGo, there is Chat GPT, there is IBM Watson... and then there is this.
we must unite and send him the iron deamon dreadquake morter doomstack.
Yeah, this is how I make my doomstacks. Give me artillery, ranged, heroes, a few melee units.
I love the game but I have to admit that the AI is extremely brain dead. I have a similar army in my VH/VH campaing with Drazoath and I barely use infantry or other units because the AI just sits and wait until I boom the hell out their existence. It is so dumb and it is easier when they bring more armies as they just clamp together ...
The A.I has always been incredibly bad. CA clearly has no intention on making a good A.I at this point, they've only actively made it worse in the third game. It may improve a little. But the fundamental problems will likely never change.
5:10 we will attack at the strongest point, to show the that we ain´t afraid of them
A.I. using Vagner tactics from bakhmut.
Хрюкни
"bad AI doomstack" lol you reduced the enemy to the equivalent of a 1 stack army with 4 units XD
They were wasting your ammo didn't you realize
mmmm i love the smell of dreadquake mortars in the morning!
4:23 To be fair, this is EXACTLY the kind of 'tactics' I'd expect skavens to use XD
After all, what are skaven slaves for if not soaking up shots ? Note that I didn't precise ENEMY shots ^^
CA sure learned from Legends stragegy to waste the enemy's ammuniton. Infantry stacks are obviously more effective since there are more models to shoot at. This prevents the player from not targeting the units (like CA programmed their range units not to shoot at small targets).
5:14 Honestly, I got so tripped up in the beginning of TwWh3 because of how the AI interacted.
I liked this one. Very much my style of playing.
Lol at winning this with 4 dread quakes. Nothing else did anything but hold the line until the dreads caused the army losses
I enjoy watching a combined arms doomstack so much more than one op unit.
Lmao that was hilarious, " they will use there ammo don't worry " some Monthy python shit right there.
My typical army at the end game
This would be stronger with regular overseer as he gives axtra ammo from his mutually exclusive skills.
I think ammo upgrade gives more than replenish... replenish activate at 80 precent but it isnt load it back fully, just 1-2 ammos, while ammo ubgrade is fix 15%
This isn't even an exploity army. This is just how the chorfs are supposed to be in canon
I like a vid about a good mid game stack - the hero upgrades and such . Its interesting
Chaos dwarfes OP in my eyes, a lot of factions not even close to bringing sth like that to execution - and that was a mid-game army.
Ankor Mortash Ankor Kaza Aframaz Garuz Tarace-Zuank-uva-Hashut, Slotch Kaos Valkuk
WWI British generals were Skaven.
A balanced army is a moist sways better than one unit spam BUT doom stacks are designed to clear out the map after you have been playing for 7hrs and just want to kill everyone
you see every chaos dwarf has a kill limit...so i sent wave after wave of elves in till they hit that limit!
Chaos dwarves are so powerfull. Makes regular Dawi seem so nerfed.
Reminds me of the nuke launcher from fallout
i think the speed is off bc of being able to attach the train? i dont understand chorfs, dont have that dlc [yet]
This stack is nearly unbeatable against all factions but I will say it has a very tough time beating wood elves if the wood elves spam archers especially Waywatchers Because by they have such long range and they’re hidden until it’s basically too late for the artillery to destroy them.
You could send heroes forward to scout and reveal the archers to your mortars though. They’ll take some damage from the archers when they move up, but it shouldn’t be too much.
5:10 Maybe CA is testing AI for Total war WW1
The speed the dragons were deleted once they got in range of the guns....
I've seen Shades take longer. This is gloriously disgusting.
Man i gotta say, chaos dwarves seem kinda op lmao
I found out in this video, that chaos dwarf sorcerers have free spells and 1 winds of magic final transmutation, now my question is how that is balanced and doesn't entirely invalidate gelts existence???
SIR WERE UNDER FIRE WHAT SHOULD WE DO? -- NOTHING!
Love a nice balanced squad :)
