We went back and forth about whether or not to drive this close to New York City with our rig. Ultimately we made the drive through Manhattan to this RV park just across the Hudson River In Jersey City.
In today's vlog, we share exactly how we got to NYC in our 45-foot Motorhome ( Entegra Aspire 44R ), if we think it was worth it, what we did while we were in the city, and how we feel about the safety In NYC Post Covid.
You can hop on a ferry from the RV park or walk down the street to the PATH train and be in NYC in minutes.
This was Rylie and Tripp’s first time here and we had a busy and we had an exciting time exploring the city.
We hit Time Square via the subway, hopped on the Big Bus Tour, Ripley’s believe it or not, and then walked over to Rockefeller Plaza, where we took the elevator up to The Top Of The Rock (69 floors up) and finished off with a tour of the building. And that was just Day One!!
We also discuss the New York Pass and whether or not we got our money's worth.

This RV park is a bit of a secret. If anyone wants to drive there RV to NYC they should do it soon. It's my understanding that the property is going to be developed in the near future.

I’m assuming the traffic was stop and go. What I like about a motorhome (is that everything is there) and if you’re in bad traffic then the passenger can make food, grab food, even turn on the TV. But you can’t do that with other types of RVs.
We stayed there twice and agree with you. Perfect spot for visiting nyc. Great video. 25:22

How safe is the rv park? I worry getting the camper stolen

Do they have a pump truck that drives through the campground for sewer?
No pump truck. They have a dump station available at the rear of the property. A pump truck would be great service for them to offer.
hello how much is the night in the parking lot please
We stayed last summer and I was surprised a parking lot was $150/night.
What did you do with your dog?
She was with us. When we go out for the day somewhere she can’t go she just stays in the RV.
We used to go there every year in Sept., but NYC took a turn for the worst with the crime problem. You must be vigilant all the time. Have fun!

Follow-Up: I'm a native New Yorker, the city was at it's best when Mayors Koch and/or Guillaini where in charge.
They really cleaned it up!
I found all the other Mayors of the City kinda useless and/or somewhat out for themselves(?).
Conclusion: Why do see that the people are leaving the city in droves?
In addition, the offices are about half empty now.
Don't even get me started about the "low-lifes" hustling/shaking down the people commuting in the Subways.
The City and Transit police have their hands full all the time and get very little support from government.
Enough!
I have been here in N.Y.C 51 years.I go out at night and i have been fine.I have never been robbed here.For the amount of people we have here it's the safest of the Big Cities.
Our daughter moved to NYC. Is there any other place to park a big RV that's safe and not 150 a night?
