Beautiful .... anything related to digbyana, I love! My digbyana looks like it will bloom on both growths for the first time, normally only one growth bloomed. Beautiful glauca you have there 🤩
glauca has a beauty all its own. That is an impressive blooming. My digbyana, despite being in essentially full sun in Florida, is still a reluctant bloomer. It gave me one bloom last spring on three new growths, produced four more growths after blooming with no sheaths, and it has three growths now of which one might produce a bloom.
@@SVKLOrchids well, I can only figure it is related to feed. It's got some 13-13-13 slow release in a bag on its mount, so it gets some feed even when I just water (or when it rains). I will probably replace that formula with the 18-6-12 in a few weeks and see if that makes any difference. Once a week or so it gets 20-14-13 when I hook up the sprayer.
@@michaelmccarthy4077 Sounds like it’s got good conditions! Maybe it just needs to get bigger? A lot of these drought tolerant orchids need to be really big before they feel comfortable blooming.
I did not know this one. It's gorgeous. I maybe have to get this dygbiana cousin and put them next to reach other. Thanks for sharing. Going to look for it!
Love this plant! Mine matured a growth during winter under the lights and I was really excited. I hope it is going to bloom for the first time next year - compared to yours it's a baby haha
Nice! Yea now I watched your video I can tell bloom size better. Pictures make it look so huge! Great job! Beautiful specimen!
Thank you!!
I love those, definitely one on my want list
They’re a great one for the collection!

Very beautiful.

Shoot, that’s frustrating! Any idea why?

Amazing specimen!
Thank you!
Beautiful and very well displayed. What does it smell like?
It’s tough to describe! It’s not as lemony as digbyana and it doesn’t have the anise scent that so many Cattleyas do. It’s a great smell though!
Maybe one of these days I will get mine to bloom. Beautiful specimen!
Thank you!
Have been wishy-washy on adding a glauca to my collection .... Now I WANT 1 :) Heard they have a Strong Citrusy scent ?
Ended up buying a: Rlc. Aristocrat from Krull-Smith. Hopefully the best of both species ?
@@BBQNBLUES The digbyana is very lemony, but glauca has a different scent, tough to describe!
@@BBQNBLUES Aristocrat is nice! I’ve seen them with larger blooms than either parent.
