Hi Dani, I’ve had a Digbyana for 2 years now. A beautiful mature plant that obviously bloomed before. Last year it had 3 new pseudobulbs, but no blooms! This year it has 5 new pseudobulbs, so hoping I will get at least one bloom! Can’t wait to see it bloom! I keep it in a south window, direct sun, and lots of air circulation. It’s doing great, just no blooms. Would love you to get one and see how it grows for you. Thanks for all you do for the orchid hobby. Blessings...

THANK YOU for the video! Recently I was gifted with a R. glauca and I was a bit worried about it's fussy reputation. Helped a lot! Have a wonderful week.

Danny !!! Just saw your spoof on April 1 last year. Sorry I’m a newbie and MOG didn’t start til October. But want to say what a goof and was terrific you thought and posted that. You got me going til you started that cloud thing and I thought “omg the landlord’s going to love her” , especially with the tree and squirrels and maybe a couple of raccoons. Anyway thumbs up 👍 on posting such a piece for your viewers. Best of the best.

MissOrchidGirl Danny. I saw the 2017 with the tree and threat to only grow phals. Hmmm. That’s really a good idea ??? 😜
I have to check out the others. Yeah !!!

MissOrchidGirl MissOrchidGirl Imagine tons of people throwing their Vandas out their windows or people holding protest signs in front of your house. It’ll be like listening to a tsunami warning or hearing Orsen Wells’ broadcast of the “war of the worlds” all over again. 😬. Personally I loved your idea. Which one ? All of it. !!!

I actually find the digbyana to be much easier to grow than the glauca! You'll have fun with the digbyana!

I love this orchid - beautiful simplicity. I have a couple of questions which I'd appreciate if you could answer. (1) I have a couple of cattleyas that are both unifoliate AND bifoliate on the same plant. Is this normal? (2) when repotting it's correct to remove dead roots. But the good roots of some orchids, e.g oncidiums, often die after repotting: what do we do about those dead roots- surely not repot yet again! It's a dilemma.

My rhyncholaelia Glauca was about to bloom when suddenly turned black before even coming out fully, things were going great I don´t understand why it lost the bloom, could you help me with that?

Hi Danny, you said that this would do well if you provide a lot of natural sunlight. Would it do well under artificial light? Does it have to be natural sunlight?

Hello from O"HI"O...this question doesn't deal with this video...I have a phal that I just bought...but I just noticed on the leaf a blister type looking bump... I've looked through almost all your videos to see if you've covered this topic...any suggestions...I'm very new at collecting orchids

Hey, my Rhyncattleanthe (Potinara) Fu Shu Glory “Happy Holiday” is kind of yellowing. I've been treating it like a Cattleya ie watering and letting it get dry. I just got it and I would describe it as a large seedling so I've been waiting to repot it until it acclimatizes to it's new home. Should I repot? Should I water less? It's in a bright south window with no direct light but it's winter here so I'm not worried about too much light. Any ideas

Hi Danny, I've been watching your tutorials for a while and every time I was able to find an answer to my phal issues. This is unrelated to the current video, but I don't know where it'd be more appropriate to post this question.
A couple of weeks ago (maybe even 1 month) I got a discount phal from the supermarket, it looked nice and healthy, only the blooms were gone. I brought it home and it seemed to do well for a while until its perfectly green leaves started falling off. I thought it must be crown rot, took it out of the pot to inspect the situation. Everything looks pefectly fine, roots look ok, maybe a bit yellow, but nothing seems unusual, the crown looks just fine, it doesn't seem rotten, I didn't overwater. I'm really puzzled as to what could be the issue. It's been sharing the company of my other 4 phals that are doing just fine. I don't see any signs of parasites.. Any idea what could be the issue?

Gabi B. You seem to have eliminated any cause by yourself, so maybe it's damage caused at the shop where you bought it - it could be that they mistreated it there to cause leaf fall. I recommend potting it up and treating it kindly as you appear to have been doing. Keep an eye on it and try not to disturb it at all; as spring comes around it should perk up.

+Gabi B. Hi, well from your description I suspect 1 of 2 things: normal old leaves shedding, if the leaves which fell were bottom leaves and if only 1-3 max fell, or stem rot.. which I sadly haven't found a cure for since you can never know where the entry point is. A viable solution is a systemic fungicide, I don't know of a non toxic solution. Hope it's not stem rot though!
