The is the most singing I’ve seen Alex do live at any point
Wow, Alex has never looked more like an actual frontman!
I'll never forgive Alex Horne for making me have a crush on him
This comment is too real
Lol, so true. Even more so since I began listening to the Horne section podcast
Excellent song.
Listening to this in 2022 is like watching a movie and half way through the protagonist saying "well, I'm glad that's all over"
I love that everyone in the band is just as adorably awkward as Alex
Nice to see James shout 'yeah' at Alex after ignoring him for all of Taskmaster
Was that James?
@@beansontoast9000 Having watched it again, I think it's either James, the guitar player who shouts '21' or possibly another member of the Horne Section. However the whole Horne Section are in shot when the yeah happens and none of them really look like they're shouting. It also sounds quite a lot like James. So I'm going to err on the side of believing it's James hahaha
Thought it was Joe (the little trumpeter)
Oh, I thought it was Adam, it sounded vaguely Australian.
I’m pretty sure that was Adam
Even in 2023 this song makes me weirdly emotional. Alex has that gift of making jokes that seem silly on top but get to something fundamental about people.
December 2021, and I'm watching this getting misty-eyed. The Horne Section is awesome as always, and I love how Alex gives it everything (not at all hampered by what appears to be his in-ear monitor just falling out).
I got quite emotional watching this. Alex Horne, those singing lessons have paid off eh?
Why are all of my favourite covid songs by the Horne section... this is amazing
I'm only here because of taskmaster and all i can think now is that alex horne is the beyonce of the weird whimsy corner of the internet.
That is the best summary of Little Alex Horne that I've ever heard!
this is a great description of him
I’m hear cause 8oo10CDC introduced me to the Horne Section and THAT brought me to Taskmaster and now I’m here 🤣🤣🤣
Beautifully said
Find someone who looks at you like James looks at little Alex Horne when he sings
I adore this but it genuinely has me in tears every time
I didn't notice his ear piece falling out during the episode but it was all I could look at during this clip
Sometimes performers pull it out, especially if there’s other chat going on (production audio) or something just doesn’t “sound” right.
i think this is the best singing alex has ever done
Oh dear 😮
Disco 2000 is my favorite Pulp song, and this is a very good cover.
thank you! I knew the tune was familiar, but I couldn't place it
The lads and especially Alex did an amazing job on that! I'm so impressed
So cool that he got to perform in front of Jarvis Cocker as well
I can't tell you how much I love this - scary how talented other humans can be. Brilliant gents, thanks a lot.
alex is excellent in this
As someone who's only ever seen Alex on TM, this was odd. Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun... but odd. 😂👏👏👏
I was thinking how odd it must have been for people there (James, Josh and Asim) sitting there after their roles on TM.
Go and watch no more jockeys (on RUclips), right now.
Found Taskmaster, decided to look up what "The Horne Section" is, since it appears in the end credits of every episode, got here, was initially surprised to hear Alex singing, then got swept up when I noticed the song theyre singing is about toughing it out through the current pandemic
The Horne Section has two settings: Silly Little Guys™️ and Pandemic Bangers™️
0:33 Jarvis Cocker in the audience nodding along with pride
Alex, you are great.
Jarvis would be proud
Brilliant. Simply brilliant.
After Series 7 of Taskamster, I thought Acaster would be doing the biopic of Jarvis Cocker.
This is excellent
This was a great song! :D
I hope they upload 2020vision.
Little Alex Horne
The actress Lorraine Kelly watching on there...
Don't mind it actually
Christ this is good, Alex should sing a lot more!
I love these guys. Are there other comedy bands or do they have the market cornered?
Flight of the Conchords. Ridiculously good.
I love it when they allow him to go full horne
It's Roger Water's style of singing in Alex's career. :D
Next, MJ
Isn’t he the lead singer of the national 🤔
This aged like milk left out in the sun towards the end of 2021
Disco 2000 -- By: Pulp
He never thought that WHO'd get married? (Will? Josh?)
Who couldn't go to school cos he had a temperature? (Ed? Will?)
One of my most hated things to witness is people doing the "polite dance" on talk-shows. It's so fucking awkward.
Why do so many reaction shots of people not laughing?
well it’s not really laugh out loud material... more of a fitting tribute to this year. i think people were genuinely enjoying it. at least i was
Yeah this was just enjoyable
@@charliern That's fair. To me, it looked like that most of the panel were courtesy smiling and not smiling at all. I found those shots awkward and didn't understand why the director kept cutting to them. I feel audience shots should only really be used when you can tell the audience are enjoying it.
To be fair, I really didn't like this so I'm maybe I'm just projecting my own takes onto the guests.
Lat Leg's camera director (or whatever his role is) is not very good. They always do this, they did it last year with the Horne Section's song "Granddady", a hilarious song, and all they did was cutting to reaction shots of people not reacting at all. They do it too often, idk why
@@grobertson9 i feel you. On Alex's pea song they cut to sting audience reactions and it made me enjoy it so much more
Its hard to beat a song about peas.
