Genuinely, thank you for the timeline talk Elvira! I'm in a similar place as Chloe is, and hearing you speak about your experiences really helped to remind me to not be comparing myself to other people. My parents aren't the best with advice and emotions, so that talk was really nice to hear
And if your adventure in life isn't what u thought....thats ok ! It's called growing, learning. And just try something else. Change is hard, but can be worth it.
I put lots of time, money & energy in my Rainbow High collection...I'll never sell them all. I will always love them. Especially now, since the new ones are stupid 🙄...imo.

My 1st time trying for a Skullector will be the Wednesday & Morticia pack ! I'm nervous. But I already got the Fang membership, so one step out of the way. If I don't get her, I will get one of the other Wednesday dolls. But I really want Morticia too.
I have been watching, your podcasts for awhile now. Best of luck with Chloe, whatever you decide to do is up, to you and your decisions. And as for Elvira, here I agree with the teletubbies theme I was one of the lucky ones to witness that time period. In fact I have a video, recommendation for u look at Britains got talent 2022 Teletubbies, and they show up on the show for about 5 minutes as a special video. I agree they have, been releasing a lot of dolls, for Monster High which is a good thing but at least we can pick which ones we really did want, to have a lot more of in general. I'm excited for G3 Catty doll she's going to be releasing soon, but they put her as Amazon listing for Amazon yesterday for pre-order, and got her instantly it's still a waiting game for her to, be released but I got her ordered.
I wish Mattel would give us all more time when they announce the releases. It’s been pretty consistent with “here’s a picture of the doll” and a week later, “buy it!” If anything, it’s given my wallet a break, the FOMO is gone, and I’m buying what I actually want to collect. ✨
There are some figures that are one thousand and some sold. I can’t believe a figure is that expensive.

I have spent up to 80$ on a doll outfit on Etsy. I am willing to do it because I am supporting an independent artist, like myself. It really bothers me when people talk down to the Etsy prices. Like girl, the small businesses need to charge not only for the labor, but the materials cost and transportation and just like.. living life.
I completely I agree with Cloe. I’ve been feeling like that lately as well. I’m 27 turning 28 and completely can relate to her.
I love the Barbie style fashion packs. I buy most of my dolls clothes from Etsy shops like EDW, so 25$ for a complete outfit with shoes and accessories is a nice price for me. I very rarely keep a Barbie doll in her stock clothes, as most aren’t my style. So I love getting good looking og Barbie clothes personally. I also suck at putting outfits in colors together, as I exclusively wear black. And I don’t know how to combine colors in outfits. I don’t want all my dolls to be in black though.
I’ll never understand why Mattel doesn’t do at least simple click knees and rotating arms anymore. The current playline dolls have extremely limiting articulations. My daughter is a toddler and even she wants to sit her dolls down properly and gets frustrated with the fashionistas. Her Disney dolls were 14$ on sale at disneys store and have click knees and elbow joints and she loves them.
Cruel as face looks so much like my doll of her that I got for ten bucks. And she doesn’t have a better body or anything. For Disney I always choose Disney store.
Mortician isn’t allergic to flowers. They make her cut them off because it’s edgy, that’s all. In the og Series she interacts with flowers, no problem .
Btw. 28 is basically a baby if you think about it. It’s so short after the frontal lobe even just closing. At 28 I was miserable. I was obsessed with our financial situation and we had so many pregnancy losses. And then I just let go. We moved to the USA and I changed my profession. We stopped trying for a baby and concentrated on our careers and building a life. We got pregnant surprisingly in 2022 and by miracle have our baby girl now. The year before we had her was the best of our marriage and life, although we had given up on what we thought was our dream. I think it was good for me, to learn that my plans don’t need to work out for my life to be good and accept me with my flaws.
I always feel like the USA is specifically youth obsessed. In Germany and even Guatemala ( I am mixed) that’s very different. In Germany the average first time mom is 30 and people in general see their 30s and 40s still as the prime years, sometimes even the 50s. People are much healthier for longer than in the states. My parents and grandparents still lived their best life in their 60s. I don’t see my parents old at mid 60 now. We have been through a brutal civil war in Guatemala and I learned so much from my parents and grandparents who decided to live their best life after the war was finally over.
Sometimes things are out of our control. And it’s fine to let things go or put on pause to concentrate on something’s else. You have no idea if in five years your life will be absolutely amazing. You couldn’t pay me to be in my twenties again . My best life wasn’t my twenties, it’s my thirties and that’s ok. Ask a 70 year old if they’d love being 30s again. My grandmother was 39 when she met my grandfather who was 30 back then. They’re 80 and almost 90 now, still happy and my grandmother always says her life before 40 seems so weird now because she on,y became fully complete at that age. We just don’t know when our life suddenly will be amazing.
I agree Mattel needs to slow down. I’ve seen it happen as well as other from different brands they have collected.
You pump out to much, people get overwhelmed, can’t keep up, and leave the hobby.
G3 does this to and I can see this being the downfall, especially how the SS series seems the be getting cheaper especially with series 4 not coming with a full 2nd outfit. I also think if they keep making the same characters over and over to much, some people won’t buy multiple of the same character.
It’s important to make money but, it’s important your consumer can provide it.
Eventually I can see resellers buying them, making them more expensive that puts people way out of affordability then just being sold for cheaper then retail or returned.
The LUV dolls look fire 🔥! Yes Mattel need to slow down, sending us all broke! 😭 But low key love it 😅

Barbie fashion packs are meh for $25...the jewelry is mat grey. Even Barbie Extra was $25, & had metal looking jewelry, nice outfits and a doll !
I mean, the 2-pack includes Wednesday and Morticia. And since Gomez are the one allergic to rose, there’s no reason for Morticia to cut the rose bud so it makes sense that the rose is included to her design
I would like to be a Rainbow High or a Monster High doll.
I think the LUV dolls look nice but they should have made them 1:6 scale compatible. The fact that these dolls are smaller I feel will be their downfall

Barney the dinosaur is coming back with its first CGI cartoon called Barney's world I think the show will be on Cartoon Network's Baby/Little Kid/preschool block called cartoon Neto sometime this fall. So it makes since that Teletubbies is making a comeback cause Barney and Teletubbies were both on PBS kids channel 8 back in the day and it was 2nd popular baby show next to Barney
i literally pray daily for mattel to bring back Fashion Avenue fashion packs. idk if i'd pay $25, but i would easily spend $15 for a Fashion Avenue style fashion pack. I am not a fan of the new playline ones too often.
I don’t like the fashion on the LUV dolls. They looks are all over the place. I get the feeling kids aren't going to like them and aren’t they the main target demographic for the dolls. I can see kids liking a new doll line like Decora Girlz more.

If everyone recorded a video expressing a wish for mattel to offer the #madetomove bodies especially sean (to replace black label kens with rubber band leg system.) That if every influencer did it same week then mattel might do it.
