Percival for sure, but Galloway is definitely gets the accolades for being the more intriguing fragrance. This comparison is very interesting to me, and I wouldn't usually expect these two together in a horse race, though I accept the scolding PdM would give me for saying such things! When people pick up on my fragrance, Percival gets the, "THAT smells so nice!" and Galloway gets, "Oooh, what is that you're wearing?" kind of responses.
Galloway is so classy and turns into clean musky scent in the dry down and its very long lasting..its one of my favorites

Galloway is so unique and smells luxurious. The pepper and florals mixed with the musk and amber, simply amazing.

I tried so hard to love PERCIVAL, but it doesn’t project and last on my skin at all. I don’t know why. But GALLOWAY does so gooood.
Interesting! Yeah Galloway does flow a bit different in the air! I do spray a ton every time I wear both though to make sure they project well 😊👌

Great review brother I own them both to me hands down my favorite is Galloway maybe because iris is my favorite note in perfumery. Plus I believe Galloway is more unique we’re Percival to me smells like a common designer fresh sent. Will definitely purchase Galloway again once my bottle is finished. Also the performance on my skin is amazing over 10 hours. Was a pleasure watching 👍

Absolutely on point man. I have observed this as well, im not new with perfumes and for me at least Galloway is just more unique and a better scent in my view. But women for some reason gravitate towards Percival.

I have a soft spot for Galloway. Its less complex but in my opinion more unique. Love Percival too though - it was one of my first PdM purchases. Just recently acquired Sedley after being undecided for such a long time and I have no regrets. I have recently acquired covid (tested positive yesterday) so hoping I can send that one packing ASAP lol
Sedley is another great fresh parfums de marly aswell 🤩 No good about Covid 😷🤧🤒Wishing for a speedy recovery 😊

I have smelled both, but I ended up getting Percival! It's a nice freshy, and super long lasting. I can always smell it on my shirts after a day, and mind you, I don't spray it on my clothes directly.

Thank you! I think both are scents that are very versatile and would work very well in any kind of situation, from going out on a warm summer day to sitting in a business meeting. Percival might even edge out Galloway in that sense since it's such a mass appealing and light kind of scent that works so well in both casual and formal settings 😊
Galloway easily. Percival dna is in A&B and in MontBlanc but Galloway Luxurious Pepper and musk is a one of a kind. A scent that is simple but not basic.
Really enjoy Galloway. Also, I think it’s more unique.

Percival is probably my favorite scent. I tried Galloway at nordstrom once and was not a fan and neither was my gf. I remember it smelling very sharp and citrusy...too much. Maybe it would grow on me over time.

I have 10 different PDM. Percival is my least favorite. I don’t have Galloway, but would like to smell it. If I’m going with a fresh PDM, Greenley. How’s the citrus in Galloway compare to Perseus?
Percival got my vote ! It seems more versatile and a safer alternative to me. Galloway is more unique though.

I just tried Percival and I really don't like it. I get a funky note I don't like that is overpowering everything else. Galloway is my favorite thus far, even more than Layton.

All of the more fresh ones from PDM are great scents but they are also a bit different so it's good to do some research before potentially buying. I can't remember how Mefisto smells like so don't know 😊
@@rottenrebels I've now grabbed Galloway on top of Percival and loving both, I'm now after Greenley, but debating over Sedly as well, but again your reviews are pointing me towards Greenley :)

Both Sedley and Greenley are wicked. I would say it depends on what kind of freshness you prefer since Greenley's focus is very much on the fruity kind with the apple/citrus in focus and Sedley having a more intense dose of citrusy and aromatic kind of freshness 😊
@@rottenrebels I've already watched that amazing comparison of yours, I have bought Galloway, Percival and now Greenley, purely based on your reviews, and I simply am grateful to you for the reviews or I probably would maybe have not bought them. I love Galloway, followed by Percival, and Greenley is on the way, but it looks like, I'll be getting Sedley as well, as you like them all, so I think based on that, I will more than likely love all 4, just with varying degrees. I'll update when Greenley arrives :). Many thanks :)

How many sprays of percival for a church environment? Enough to be smelled but without being the “cologne guy who showered in cologne”????? Please and thanks 🙏
I’ve actually been in this scenario and spoke to my daughter who was with me about it. I had on 3 sprays of Percival, and she said she could smell me the whole time, but it wasn’t overwhelming, so I would say 2 sprays. (This was in a huge cathedral)

I really don’t see it anything good on Galloway. At all! I just smelled at the store. To me smell horrible 🤢🤢🤢🤢
And I sprayed on my hand. I wait around one hour to see if change and I can smell any good in it. Definitely! Smells horrible. I just putted a lot soap and water to remove it out of my hand. Percival! Is beautiful, Lovely super mass appealing.

Percival is unique and luxurious? Seriously?) It's a clone of Fierce Abercrombie & Fitch or Montblanc Legend. They came out earlier and have the same dna and same level of performance/longevity.
The same story with Galloway (Lalique White). And I'm not saying that they are bad, Galloway is one of my favorite scents, but they are far from unique for sure. And far from "niche")

Hi! thanks for sharing! we all experience scents in different ways so always interesting to hear how other people experience things.
To me, Percival is actually the opposite of flat. And that's the reason why I like it so much.
I REALLY tried to get to know Kalan. But it's one of few PDM that never really impressed me that much. And it's interesting to see how quite a few of those around me also feel the same.
Will it give the 50th try again this week and see if I change my mind 😆
