I do prefer the hidden , as the centre stone’s beauty is centre stage . But that’s my personal opinion as I wear a solitaire and I marvel / mesmerised by it EVERYDAY. Any diamond if you’re lucky to have one is just beautiful!💎 Great vid , hello from Sydney Australia 👍
I started out liking the traditionally set ring; however, upon completion of the hidden halo ring, that is now my favored setting. I've learned so much from your videos in the short time of following you, Zach. Thankyou for sharing!
I recently learned that a 1ct diamond I inherited from my grandma is lab grown. When she passed away, my dad and uncle found this absolutely bananas diamond ring in her collection. It had a CLUSTER of 1ct diamonds on it, each colored. We were stunned and kind of confused. She had a big collection with many expensive pieces of jewelry but not anything as crazily, coco-for-cocoa-puffs fancy and rare as that. They decided to split the ring up into single-diamond necklaces for me, my stepsisters, and my cousins. I recently took mine in to a jeweler to learn more about it, at which point I learned that it was lab grown. That info put my grandma’s ring in a less than astronomical price range. It also made me impressed with my grandpa, who bought the for her in the 70’s or 80’s before lab grown diamonds were trendy. I’ll be proud it wear it some day as an engagement ring or to pass it on to the next person.
My collection includes two, small lab grown diamonds that I really enjoy (one in a stud, one in a travel ring). The bulk of my collection is antique, natural diamonds. 😊 Would love to see a video showing how platinum prongs get re-tipped after they've been worn down from wear.
WOW! What a beautiful gorgeous hidden diamond ring! Lately I prefer lab created diamond and moissanite rings. I bought 3 moissanite rings and I'm really impressed by the beauty and brilliance of the moissanite rings and its much cheaper than the real diamond rings.
I like the hidden halo and as far as natural vs. lab diamonds, I have warmed up to the lab diamonds more recently. There was too much of a monopoly on natural diamonds and competition was needed. TFS
Your jewellery is nicely made, with one exception: your prongs. They are very bulky and masculine. I'd suggest filing them into claw prongs to hide less of the centre stone, much more delicate and nice looking.
The ring is just beautiful! I love how you explain what you're doing and why. I've only watched a couple of your videos so far and really enjoyed them. Personally, I'd prefer mined diamonds. There's something to be said for the time, history & mystic in them.

I just came across your videos and I love them! I definitely subscribed!! You were so correct. When you say that lab created diamonds are diamonds they’re just processed in a lab. I had a 1.5 carat lab created diamond and I let an uneducated jeweler tell me that it was fake and I was so upset that I went to my jeweler and unfortunately she couldn’t convince me otherwise and I traded it in for a mined diamond. I ended up paying more for a one carat, I do love my diamond I just wish people would get better educated on lab created diamonds because they are real diamonds.
If you showed it I missed the setting of the small Stones Under the primary diamond . Can you talk about the polishing compounds you prefer? Also, I have been considering buying those magnified glasses that attach to regular glasses. Like dentists use. Do you have any idea if that is better than the usual headset glasses that Jewelers usually use? Sorry for so many questions in one comment. I prefer lab created at this point in my life. You can see that this is a lab grown diamond- it has a cloudy look to it. A natural diamond is clear and can even pick up the colours around it, be it clothing or other stones.
There’s no visible way to tell the difference✨💎
