@Mongoose 1980 Florida has a horrible public transport system for tourists. You can probably walk everywhere you want to go in Dunedin, but it is a 20 mile taxi ride from the Tampa airport, and you can probably see and do everything you want in Dunedin in half a day. Dunedin is not a place which I would recommend for a tourist.
Great videos man! I really enjoy them. I shoot all your Arizona vids to friends too, you're solid. I had a quick question for you. I was curious after watching all of your vids in Florida, where would be your favorite spot to live in Florida full time, if you had to move?
@@IslandHopperTV I've never been to Florida. I was trying to get a feel for it from your vids. I'll probably be headed out there, or back to AZ in Scottsdale. What were your thoughts on the Delray Beach area?
We live in Dunedin. It was the reason we moved here. We love the small town atmosphere. That was the farmers market you saw in the park there. They have it every weekend. This is a "Scottish" town and they have Scottish day parades that kicks off the Scottish games. Pre-covid, there was always something going on in town. Several art festivals throughtout the year. The pinellas trail is an old railroad bed that they turned into a walking/biking trail that runs 40ish miles(?). We love it here and wouldnt want to live anywhere else.
We lived here for 5 years. Only moving (tomorrow) to be near our son in Virginia. The town is absolutely beautiful and amazing people here. I will really miss it here.
I lived in Dunedin from 2000-2002 and happened across your video while searching for Hurricane Milton updates. I hope they didn’t experience the really severe damage that had been predicted. Dunedin is a quiet, clean town off the beaten path . Lots of artsy type people seem to live there but not your typical retiree community. I ended up moving back to Upstate NY and haven’t been back since. So I enjoyed your video very much.
Currently living in Columbus, OH looking to move to Tampa area in a few years. This is exactly the kind of Dunedin "tour" I was looking for. A lot of videos with people talking about the city but this is a great visualization of the shops, restaurants, markets, crowds, etc. Thank you for this.
It's a shame that you didn't show both sides of the street. Where you began there's a really great Barbershop called McGuire's. It It was built in 1945. I owned it for about a decade and back when I had it had the original enamel and red leather chairs!
one of my fav spots to hang! that lil jeep is always there XD check out tarpon if you still in the hood that trail was an old railroad - the trail goes for miles and miles broadway and main st best ice cream shop yeah - dont come in the summer time - heat and humidity is cray cray the walking tours are great! when i was a chef i did some gigs at the Bon Appetit
we've been there. its a nice place to live if you like quiet. its a couple of blocks with eateries, bars & some shops. we went to see the blue jays play at TD ballpark. we travel all over for spring games. you will melt there on hot days unless you get the 5 rows under the overhang.
Wow ! Excellent video ! Best 1 I’ve seen on Dunedin, & I’ve seen quite a few. I finally got an accurate idea of the town lay out, via this vid ! Thank you ! I’m a life long non driver & I walk everywhere ! ( or bus). I’ve been wanting to see how truly pedestrian friendly this town is. I love the water, & have been wanting to know if u can easily walk to the water from the d’town shops. You walk fast ! Impressive ! I like how you did not talk non stop as well. Yes Pinellas trail is 40 miles long, I’ve heard ? That history museum was once the train station. And thise painted dolphins abound there. Thx so much ! Probably too hot to live there, but I’d like to visit, & now thx to you I found that Best Western ! Convenient & reasonable ! Looking 4ward to your St Pete vid.
If you want to see a manatee, go to the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, about an hour’s drive north of Dunedin. Dunedin is more a bedroom community for Tampa, than a tourist area. The entire Tampa Bay region is more business, than tourist oriented, with the possible exception of Clearwater Beach, and St Petersburg Beach. Even those beach areas probably draw more Florida residents than out of state visitors because they are somewhat off the beaten path.
I live in Clearwater and have enjoyed your videos of the area. It has been a very good reputation of what to expect. I look forward to more videos of other areas that I plan on visiting now :) It really did warm up this weekend. It will be like this or warmer until late October now.
The traffic light at Alt 19 and Main St takes so long, because the traffic flowing north and south on Alt 19 is a ridiculous crawl. It is a nightmare to drive during rush hour traffic on weekday mornings, after work, and on weekends when everyone is headed to the beach. That is why the light takes forever to change. The Jolly Trolley is $2.25 or $5.00 for a day pass and travels from Clearwater all the way north to Tarpon Springs. It's a great deal considering the price for gas or Uber.
Dont see high rises! ❤️👍🌴 Panama City Beach where I am (leaving too) you can't even see the beach anymore! WAAAAY to crowded in summer with no natural views anymore!
I am going to request a Tampa base as I begin working as a pilot for the airlines. I did my flight training in Largo and fell in love with that whole area. I have been in Orlando for the last 3 years and I just miss that area. I’ve been looking at potential places to call home and just came across Dunedin. It looks exactly like what I’m looking for. I’m so excited to visit. That small town vibe right near the beach is what I want.
Do your research on the Pinellas Trail. Also, please note that on Main Street in Dunedin, the stores are all owned by local entrepreneurs ... no Starbucks and such. The name Dunedin is taken from Edinbrugh, Scotland. We have award winning bagpipes! Your knowledge of this town is seriously lacking.
Mask for what? You realize you inhale asbestos if you live in a city at pretty much any time? Brakes have asbestos dust. Every time they demolish an old building asbestos is released. That alone is more concerning than some bio weapon. I mean really.
Here is the Florida Playlist ruclips.net/p/PLuF_B4L3PDfi1unJdJ4GGFT8vnAgI8i3j
@Mongoose 1980 I would say you don’t need a car here. Walking is easy and so is riding bike. They have ferry boats also and even many Uber’s

Was moving to AZ and watch all your Living in AZ videos...changed my mind and now moving to Florida so now I am watching this series :)
I used to live in AZ. I now live in Florida. There is so much more to do and you can do stuff all year around outside.
good thing he didn't do a walking tour of Dar Es Salam in Tanzania, or you would be packing up for Africa, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The heat is great preparation for our eventual descent into hell.
Thank you so much for the great tour! Super helpful.
I like the walking tours.
I LOVE Dunedin! I live just a few towns away in Tarpon Springs!
So beautiful! Great video!
Your channel is just fantastic! Professional and beautiful in every way. You really know how to showcase an area! Thanks for sharing with us!

Great video. Hi from Greenville, South Carolina. That Main Street reminded me of ours here. Looks like a great place to visit.
Really enjoyed this walking tour
I like both blogs and walking tours

You should do one on Mt. Dora. And you should do it now, before the snowbirds leave.
Thank You by the video. I am from Brasilia, Brasil!

Dunedin is the Scots Gaelic translation for Edinburgh and I'm from the one in Scotland which goes by it's English translation
