      Wow, thanks Robert. I’m glad you’re finding it useful; remember, always do your own research. I’m just one person and my opinions aren’t always right ;)

      I do. I’m brand new at this though and I’m learning on the job lol. I used to have stocks in my portfolio like AGNC, PSEC, PFLT, DX, SCM, etc.. All straight up junk stocks! It amazes me that there’s so many channels that recommend these type of stocks. You give it to us straight haha! And your research is fantastic

    Interested in tikers CHWY, CHD, and VFC, defensive type Consumer Discretionary stocks, for the most part, but they seem overvalued. Thoughts??

    What’s the best approach if one is stuck in a value trap for over a year with no light at the end of tunnel? Is it good to sell and move on or wait & watch for longer term?

    Another great point today. Many people would agree that ROIC is one of the top metrics to look at for stocks/ETF's. Usually 8-10% for a strong long term holder. Well done, sir

    So I looked at these standards and from what I assume, INTC isn't a value trap.
    It has increasing consistent revenue, operating net margins have increased, earnings have gone up, has dividend growth along with earnings growth, ROIC is consistent

    • @NathanWinklepleckCFA
      @NathanWinklepleckCFA  2 года назад

      There are not guarantees about anything. These numbers aren’t the end-all-be-all. Just clues. Does INTC have a place in our economy in a decade? Does competition from AMD, Apple, and others making their own chips hurt them? All things to think about. Numbers are the start, not the end of analysis.

      @wasbii22 2 года назад

      @@NathanWinklepleckCFA honestly I think INTC is making great changes now to increase their CAPEX and try to make better moves for themselves which I think could be a great return for them in the longer term

    Investors almost always overestimate current trends, but underestimate the long-term future potential, especially in growth stocks.
    Case in point, stocks like Adobe, Generac, Microsoft, Enphase which were incredible bargains just a few years ago. These names were trading at low PE ratios back then for what they're earning today. It's the future earnings and cash flows, discounted to current value that matters the most IMO. So your video does a great job of capturing that message 👏 👍

      Nonsense.. adobe and Microsoft have always traded high (>45 and >30 pe) in the last 5 years except maybe during the flash crash

    • @gurusukh
      @gurusukh 2 года назад +1

      @@craigslist1323 That's not the point. You need to look at current earnings (or FCF/share) and the price it was trading at say 5 years ago.
      Adobe for example was trading at 9 times 2021 earnings back in 2016, which was an incredible bargain!!
