I loved the way they shot the episode where Joyce passed. No music, no intro. I still remember it dang near 20 years later. How everything was surreal. The sound of the kids playing outside...the light a bit too bright. Exactly how you feel when you go through something like this. The disbelief. Buffy was an excellent show that is still relevant to this day.
@Maria Blente Same. As absolutely cheesy as this is going to sound, I remembered that episode a while after my mother died and rewatched it and.. it was a way to process, I suppose. The show did an incredibly good job portraying this theme.
That’s the one episode of anything that I bawl like a baby even though I know what’s coming. The stillness after someone dies, it’s like the world stops for you but keeps going for everyone else.
It's because of the issues of a relationship. Might she love him? Sure, but from spikes pov, she only had used him in the past. You never know how someone else feels, and have to try and interrupt their actions.
I HAVE HAD THIS SHOW IN MY LIFE EVER SINCE I WAS FOUR. SERIOUSLY, MY MOM RAISED MY FAMILY WITH THIS SHOW. MY LITTLE SISTER WAS NAMED FAITH BECAUSE SHE WAS MY MOM'S FAVORITE CHARACTER. This show is my life, i'm watching it rn
I disagree. I always thought Anya, who was a 1120 years old demon, should've known exactly what death is. Being a demon doesn't make you an idiot. She killed many people and had been alive longer than everybody else. How could she still be that dumb with people ? And not understanding what human death is is beyond me.
One moment is missing! When Giles says that Buffy is going to die and she starts crying and says: Giles I'm 16 years old. I don't wanna die. God I love Sarah Michelle Gellar so much. You should make a list about the most underrated female actors and give her the nr. 1!
I know!! and when she pretends to be Buffy Bot to find out whether or not Spike revealed anything to Glory and she kisses him. Spike's reaction was shocking. Tbf no Buffy fan would be completely fine with most lists, just because we love all of it so much.
the scene when her mother die... I cry so much omg so touching. and when Buffy and Angel really really end and she go to the room and find willow and she star to cry like "I really lost the love of my life" and when she finds Riley withe the vampire.
One little bit I really loved... I can't quite recall which episode it was, but when Buffy finds out her mum is sick and is crying on the porch, and Spike is marching with a gun to shoot her, but when he sees her he just asks her what's wrong and pats her back in the most tender way. That always gets me. Also after Spike has had his ass royally handed to him by Glory after not giving up Dawn as the Key, and Buffy pretends to be the Buffybot to find out why he didn't rat them out and she kisses him and tells him what he did for her and her sister was real. Also adorable.
i love all the spuffy moments, the night they spend together after buffy was basicaly kicked out of her house by her friends, and how spike defends her, and what he says to her when he finds her... imma go rewatch the show again
Oh that little speech he gives her is lovely. I've always seen them as best friends rather than lovers. It's obvious she loves Angel romantically, but Spike is her confidant. He understands her in her darkest moments, moreso than any of her other friends because they've not been there. He is to Buffy what Angel is to Faith I always think.
Spoiler alert: in canonic comic series of Buffy (seasons 9 -10) by Joss himself Buffy is eventually with Spike so far and everyone in the Scooby gang and Angel himself has accepted it. Moreover Joss Wedon said in one of his interviews that he was always shipping Spuffy) therefore, in the end Angel becomes a friend and Spike becomes her soulmate
It's ok. But one thing I don't understand is how come every single vampire knows Kung Fu? Were they all Kung Fu practitioners who got bitten? Is Mastery of Kung Fu just something that comes with becoming a vampire? Or is there some kind of all night dojo where they go and practice?
@@irieite9666 I keep seeing that question. The answer is very simple: basically when you become a vampire you are given powers, which means more strength -and yes, kung fu is part of the package. The "older" the vampire, the greater the powers
Jenny Calender's murder isn't even honorably mentioned? The fact that Angelus set up Giles' apartment for a romantic reunion only to stumble upon her dead. Fucking heartbreaking.
That's my fav episode season 2 is my fav and passion was a pivotal moment that showed angel was truly evil plus I hated Jenny and was glad she died I also hated Tara she was my least favorite the entire show but that's later on
Giles betraying & killing all those young slayers when he made them vulnerable & let a vampire kill them isn't mentioned either . This is unforgettable & evil cause sooo many families were sad cause their innocent girls were murdered cause of evil Giles . Faith killed a dude by accident which she later felt bad about & she got locked up for a while but Giles didn't get locked up & no wonder Buffy hooked up with Spike since she let evil Giles get away with hi's many evil crimes . Tera said to Giles u'r a murderer while pointing at Giles in a episode which made Giles remembers about all the many deaths/crimes that are hi's fault & he helped save the world when he killed Ben/Glory .
I love how they portrayed buffy. I mean she wasnt juust badass, she was a real woman. She could break down and fall in love be vulnerable and never did u think that she wasnt the strongest person on this planet! This is what woman on TV should be like!
When Glory tortures Spike to give up Dawn's whereabouts, and Buffy tests whether he did or not with the BuffyBot. And the look in his eyes when he realises what's going on. That was an extremely touching scene.
Best Buffy moment: Angelus gets kicked in the nuts! But seriously. For the shock value, and as an indication of what Angelus could bring to the series, Angelus killing Miss Calendar and Giles finding her body should be up there somewhere.
thats so true it should be up there it should replace when cordelia makes her wish. thats not really that unforgettable not like angelus killing ms calendar
YES!!! When Giles finds Ms Calendar's mangled body on his bed and calls Buffy, she passes the phone to Willow in shock, Willow starts sobbing, I cry so hard! OMG This TV show has emasculated me so much I have the emotional maturity of a blueberry scone....
One if the most memorable and heartbreaking moments for me in this series (and still makes me shed a tear to this day when I see it) is when Giles goes to fight angel after the death of Jenny. Buffy goes in to help but ends up having to carry Giles out of the burning building. He tells her off for getting involved and she hits him then immediately hugs him saying she can't lose him too whilst they cry. Such a beautiful moment showing the father daughter relationship between them.
finally a watch mojo video for buffy....i feel like the moment in season 1 where buffy says "giles im sixteen years old...i dont wanna die" should have at least been an honorable mention it was a powerful turning point for the show and character
Rose Kahn yeh same it was where u finally understood buffy wasnt indistructable. She was a scared girl and it was relateable and vulnerable and beautiful...i miss buffy so much
The One And Only yeh i spose but nothing beats sitting and watching buffy with cup of coffee to keep u up while u marathon it cus ur trapped after one ep lol
One of my favorite moments is when the Watcher's Council is testing Buffy, making sure she is up to par, when she realizes that she has power and they have none. The scene is pretty powerful and shows how much she had grown.
also the moment where he tells Buffy that he loves her but doesn't need her love in return because he loves her for who she is. That moment was very sweet.
Aww hell no! There are plenty of great things after season 5. Season 6 gave us Once More With freakin Feeling! DARK WILLOW! And lots of naked Spike!! Season 7 gave us Selfless! That brilliant church scene in Beneath You! Lies My Parents told me! And post-prison Faith! I pick seasons 6 and 7 over 1 and 4 any day. #Sorrynotsorry
One of the scenes I found really moving was when Buffy, pretending to be the Buffybot, goes to Spike and offers to give Dawn to Glory, after Glory tortured him. Spike refuses and says he would rather die than let Glory know that Dawn was The Key. He said that losing Dawn would devastate Buffy and he wouldn't let that happen. She was genuinely moved. Things changed a little between them then...
I LOVE THIS SCENE! And the scene before this when Spike actually goes to shoot Buffy and instead finds her upset and comforts her. They had such powerful scenes those two, directed so amazingly well and written. Damnit I miss this show.
I'm surprised the moment she revealed that her friends tore her from heaven wasn't on the list. That was one of the most intense moments after the show switched networks..
Buffy killing Angel is probably the single best television moment of all time. So emotional, allegorical and epic at the same time. The show never got any better than that.
I loved how they proved she wasn't a demon. Since Spike couldn't hurt humans he just punched her in the face, when it caused him pain too they knew her family was lying.
As someone who has watched the entire "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Series several times, (and currently at the tail end of Season 4, once again), I can honestly say that there are way too many favorite moments for me in this series. Huge thanks to whomever suggested this idea to MsMojo!!
Robert Alvarez tail end of season 4 is one of my favorites. Buffy and gang running through the Initiative with the government-heads talking about "salt the earth"..... *chills*
Yoni Yes! I have not gotten there, yet, but soon. I allowed way too much time to lapse between catching up. Then again, I have an unusual way of doing so. If an episode has a commentary, I watch the episode without commentary first, then with commentary, then again, without commentary. Then, I go to the rest of the episodes, and if I get to another one with commentary, then I repeat the formula. The featurettes and interviews I leave for last. This is another reason why I AM still at the tail end of Season 3!!
The Buffy class protector award should've been on here. And Buffy calling after Riley when he's flying away. I was never a big Riley & Buffy fan but her missing the helicopter by a few seconds was heartbreaking. And she never even told him when she saw him again so he wouldn't be plagued with the 'what ifs'..she respected his new relationship. So deep and tragic and real...not cheesy and predictable like these shows out now.
Dave D´ave still is ! I have been hoping forever they release it on bluray. Shit they can keep the 4:3 ratio for all I care but give us the HD resolution. Twin Peaks did it right.
When Buffy told Angel to drink her blood to cure him of that poison Faith shot him with. That was true romance. Also the prom night episode. Angel showed up in a tux whrn Buffy ghought he wouldn't be there. Then the senior class gave her an award called "Class Protector". That was the moment she realized the class knew her secret all along, and they loved her for it.
literally got to go from child to teen and loved this show. two stand out memories for me not mentioned; 1. kendra's throat slashed by drusilla 2. angel killing ms calendar
Adam Michael Kendra’s death was a top 3 moment. I still remember Buffy coming around the corner while Dru was hypnotizing her. Ms. Calendar’s death should’ve been here too
It's been 20 years and I still cry every single time I see Buffy killing Angel in the season 2 finale. That's when everything changed for me. God, I love them, and her so much. Buffy was such a good role model, she was strong and powerful, but also very femenine. She was tough but she also was very in touch with her feelings. She could kill monster but still cried when her heart was broken. She was just AMAZING.
That was so heartbreaking, Anya was a human before she became a vengeance demon and I guess she never experienced the death of a loved one. Her not understanding why Joyce was never coming back was just too much.
The whole relationship between Willow and Tara is utterly beautiful to watch! I cried buckets when Tara died... I wish we'd seen 'Under Your Spell' in this list-my partner first introduced me to Buffy using 'Once More With Feeling' because I love musicals...and that song I fell in love with!
Perhaps the best moment was when Spike realised when willow and tara were an item. He is a little surprised but never says anything. Nor does he seek to gain anything from this knowledge. Thsi is how he acknowledges his debt to willow when he sought her help about the chip in his head. Spike does some very nasty thngs, especaily his assault on Buffy. But He is really not that bad a vampire, as vampires go!
The most memorable moment for me and not in a good way was when Angelus killed Jenny. His set up for when Giles came home was the cruelest act I have seen on TV.
Truely the greatest show that ever been. More honorable mentions: Jenny Calender's death; Faith kills a man; Buffy stabs Faith with her own knife; the revelation of what dawn is; and so much more!
Yes! Jenny dying was like the 1st real tragedy. And how they shot Buffy's and Willow's reaction from receiving the call! And I just remembered... we were seeing they're reaction from Angel's Point of view because he was outside Buffy's house watching them. Wow nostalgia. Truly iconic show.
Knowing Joss, I fully believe he intended to kill Jenny right from the start. He just wanted to establish her as a regular character that people could become attached to first, instead of the usual tactic of highlighting someone new in a single episode, triggering a death flag.
jenny dying would easily be in the top 5 for me. the way angel set that up, even the scene when Giles goes to kill Angel and Buffy punches Giles then hugs him. I mean geez that whole episode was sob fest! Faith kills a man is a good one too, or Kendra dying.
@@girlytomboyx I loved them as a couple, but I really my favorite scene of them together was in the graveyard after Joyce's funeral. So good. And of course Becoming Part 2.
cherrip1e yeah, easily my top show, have watched and rewatched so many times now, and still cry my eyes out or laugh out loud. Joss Whedon is a genius, I loved his show Doll House (but stupid fox axed it) and his movie cabin in the woods is awesome! I know he has other shows and movies but these are my favs lol
I have to agree about Doll House , loved that show , I own it and re watched it recently . The farewell scene between Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett ) and Echo (ElizaDushku ) still brings me to tears especially with that particular music playing in the background . I can't remember the artists name however .
I can't seem to edit previous comment , so the music playing was Lissies 'Everywhere I go ' and when I saw it the first time I thought she was erasing Paul altogether , but when I watched a second time I realised she was uploading him into her brain so they would never be apart . It's bringing tears to my eyes just writing about it . How stupid is Fox ? How many decent shows have they axed ? They obviously don't give a fuck about the fans .
ya know... the only episode of Buffy i can't rewatch over n over... is: Ted. the only part of that episode i can watch, is the ending...... *NO ONE* treats my Buffy like that!!!!!!!
Buffy will forever be my fave show. Prom was a pretty unforgettable moment when she got the umbrella for being the class protector "every now and then people surprise you, every now and then"
: Buffy getting the class protector award at the prom), Xanders speech to Dawn '' You're not special, you are incredible'', Xander bravery at the end of ''The Zeppo'', The humus conversation from graduation. Buffy speech at the end of showtime, Xander as Dracula's thrall and finally Giles singing ''freebird''
My favourite scene is when Buffy over hears Giles and Angel talking about how It's her destiny to die at the hands of the Master. And she breaks down, throwing books at Giles screaming "Tell me the signs, tell me my fortune. Your so useful sitting here with all your books!" And Angel tries to calm her down, but Buffy still says "I resign, I quit, you can find someone else to defeat the Master!" And Giles all somewhat speechless, and Buffy in tears saying "you think it'll hurt?" XD I loved this show too much 😂
I was gonna say this. He does the best reviews and I'd personally like to see his version of this list rather than Watchmojo, just because he's more into the show than any of these bozos.
Omg.. so many tears with this show.. still holds up to this day. Legendary!! Only thing I would have added was the graduation speech.. always makes me cry.
Every Buffy and Spike moment is memorable. The best one was when Buffy was in self doubt when the slayers kicked her out of her own house in season 7. Spike gave her the most heartwarming speech of how amazing she is and how he loved all different sides of her. She then kicked ass because of it. Spike should be the one for her. He knows all sides of her because they started as enemies to lovers. Every time Buffy was either in need of help or need someone to talk to, its always Spike.
Definitely not done by a fan. It's an-jell-us not ayn-gel-is. Also, who the hell is JOSH Whedon?! I thought it was a slip of the tongue, but she said it twice.
Buffy’s speech to Angel at the end of Amends would definitely be in my Top 10. While I think that Buffy killing Angel is a Top 10 moment, the last scene with Sarah McLaughlin’s “Full of Grace” when Joyce reads Buffy’s letter and Buffy watches her friends at school was definitely my favorite moment of the episode.
when angel turns up to the prom and he and buffy dance together with wild horses playing in background- always a favourite moment. also spike on the searing cross
I've dated people who didn't want to pursue anything further with me because I'm not close to my family at all. This episode always makes me emotional for this reason.
One scene that comes to mind (not as a top 10, put poignant nonetheless) is the episode where Angelus and Buffy get genderbent possessed by the dead highschoolers and Buffy "kills" Angelus before he comes back and freaks out that he was able to feel love in his evil form. It was hypnotic!
It wasn't from Buffy, but from the spinoff series Angel, in the cross-over episode. Angel and Buffy fight a demon and Angel turns back into a human. They are happy, they can be together. But Angel finds out that Buffy will die if he stays human so he goes back and stops the demon before he can turn him human. It is another classic Joss Wheaton devastating episode. I bawled by eyes out.
@@ethanf6136 When I read about Angel and Cordelia it was like a slap in the face.... can't imagine them but Cordelia has changed since her high school years still it's so weird but I haven't watched the show yet ... with Spike and Buffy it's like Damon and Elena.... very similar couple have already seen it ! There's a reason why they made them happen in the comics and out of the show.... I lost interest in Damon and Elena once they got together in season 4.
Jonathon: "We have one more award to give out. Is Buffy Summers here tonight? Did she, um... This is actually a new category. First time ever. I guess there were a lot of write-in ballots, um... Well, th-the prom committee asked me to-to read this. 'We're not good friends. Most of us never found the time to get to know you. But that doesn't mean we haven't noticed you. We don't talk about it much, but it's no secret that Sunnydale High isn't like most other high schools. A lot of weird stuff happens here." "Zombies!" "Hyena people!" "Snyder!" *laughter* Jonathon: "But whenever there was a problem, or something creepy happened, you seemed to show up and stop it. Most of the people here have been saved by you, or helped by you at one time or another. We're proud to say that the class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history." *applause* "And we know at least part of that is because of you. So the senior class offers its thanks, and gives you, uh, uh, this." *opens umbrella* "It's from all of us. And it has written here, "Buffy Summers: Class Protector"." *more applause* -------- Giles: "You cast a spell on us to keep us from seeing your demon side. That's why we couldn't see her all the time." Buffy: "You nearly got us killed." Tara: "I'll go. I'm sorry." Douche: "Camper's outside." Willow: "Wait. Go? Sh-sh-she just did a spell that went wrong. It- it was just a mistake!" Douche: "That's not the point and it's not your concern. She belongs with us. We know how to control her... problem." Willow: "Tara... Look at me... I trusted you more than anyone in my life. Was that just a lie?" Tara: "No." Willow: "Do you want to leave?" Douche: "It's not your decision, young lady." Willow: "I know that!" to Tara "Do you want to leave?" Tara shakes her head Douche: "You're going to do what's right, Tara. Now I'm taking you out of here before somebody does get killed. The girl belongs to her family. I hope that's clear to the rest of you." Buffy: "It is. You want her, Mr. Maclay? You can go ahead and take her... You've just gotta go through me." Douche: "What?" Buffy: "You heard me. You want to take Tara out of here against her will? You've gotta come through me." Dawn: "And me." Douche: "Is this a joke? I'm not going to be threatened by two little girls." Dawn: "You don't want to mess with us." Buffy: "She's a hair-puller." Giles: puts on glasses "And... you're not just dealing with two little girls." Xander: "You're dealing with all of us." Spike: "'Cept me." Xander: "... 'Cept Spike." Spike: "I don't care what happens." Douche: "This is insane. You people have no right to interfere with Tara's affairs. We are her blood kin! Who the hell are you?" Buffy: "Her family." Douche, Jr.: "Dad... You gonna let 'em just...? Tara, if you don't get in that car, I swear by God I'm gonna beat you down." Xander: "And I swear by your full and manly beard you're gonna break something trying." Twit: "Well, I hope you'll all be happy hanging with some disgusting demon." Anya: raises hand "Excuse me. What kind?" Twit: "What?" Anya: "What kind of demon is she? There's a lot of kinds. Some are very, very evil. Some are considered to be very useful members of society." Twit: "I-I- It doesn't matter." Douche: "Evil. It's evil." Anya: "Let's just narrow it down." Spike: "Oh, why don't we make this simple?" punches Tara in the face, then fakes pain Willow: "Hey!... Hey..." Tara: "He hit my nose..." Willow: "And it hurt... uh, him, I mean." Buffy: "That only works on humans." Spike: "There's no demon in there. Just a family legend, am I right?" ----------- Faith: "You're not gonna kill these people." Boone: "Why not?" Faith: "Because it's wrong!" ----------- Xander: "She can read our minds? Our every impulse and fantasy?" Buffy: "Every one." Xander: Cordelia:
Joseph Davis, Spike didn't fake pain in "Family" (S5,E6). He had a functioning chip until season 7, episode 13, "The Killer in Me," when his chip was finally removed. ----------- Regarding "Earshot," why do you say "RDH" for Wesley Wyndam-Pryce?
I always liked Buffy's dramatic power pose in the first episode of the second season. She rescues Xander and Willow after coming back from summer vacation and just hits the power pose. It just sets the tone: Buffy ain`t backing down and vampires better fear her!
Spike's death, Giles waking up as a demon and Spike embracing a cross out of shame of what he nearly did to Buffy during the bathroom scene are more memorable to me than some of the one in the list
my favorite Buffy moment is when between when Angel is willing to die to keep Buffy safe and when he goes all grrr when he thinks she's in danger it just goes to show you how much he loves her
God I miss Buffy but I'm still glad they ended it at it's peak which most shows don't do. They just beat it into the ground making it unrecognizable. I still get choked up when Buffy dies in S5 and Joyce's death was heart wrenching too. I also loved Buffy and the slayers fighting the first, along with Willow turning all the potentials into real slayers. I also loved the episode where Buffy and Faith switched bodies but I think when they fight in the S3 finale and Buffy stabbing Faith with her own knife, putting her in a coma should of replaced it. I hated when Oz left the show, I liked Oz/Willow. Didn't care for her with Tara but it was sad when she died. I knew Buffy killing Angel would be number 1. I'm torn that is an awful moment for Buffy but I still feel either Buffy or Joyce dying should of been number 1.
I think the scene after Joyce dies, and Willow yells at Anya for asking hurtful questions, when Anya was new to being human again, was asking innocently and out of her own pain. I cry every time.
Honorable Mentions That Were Paid Dust: Buffy is named Class Protector, Buffy Meets Faith, Buffy and Faith's showdown on Graduation Day, Willow Comes Out, The Hush Episode, Spike Killed Principal Woods Mother, a.k.a. former Slayer, Buffy Quits Being a Slayer and "Is 16, doesn't want to die", Buffy is reincarnated by Willow, Xander performs CPR on Buffy
The Judge: "you're a fool. No weapon forged can stop me." Buffy:"That was then." - picks up rocket launcher- "This is now. The Judge: "What's that do?" boom shaka lacka boom shaka lacka BOOOOOOM!!! This scene had me laughing and cheering for days afterward when it first aired.
one of my favourite scenes, is in Family; when Buffy says that Tara is family, and the Scoobies protect her. :) love it! the episode that reminds you... family isn't just about blood.
As I man I don't see why this has been placed on Ms Mojo as oppose to Watchmojo, the show has a huge male audience as well. What I think was so amazing about this show is that it was a show for everyone, women, men, teenagers, adults and of all different nationalities and ages, whereas I think most shows now really try to aim at a particular audience. Buffy took the issues facing teenagers and put them through the prism of great philosophical questions about the self, the psyche, the world, depression, growing up and it never compromised on it's unique and genius storytelling, unlike other teen driven shows. I still consider it the best TV series I've ever seen and it's been 12 years since it ended. Just because the lead is a particular gender doesn't mean an audience will take it into serious consideration, it's like saying Breaking Bad or Sherlock should go onto a Mr. Mojo channel just because the protagonists are male.
Exactly! I watched it the first time around at 33, and introduced my 5 year old niece to the show. By the way, the series ended in 2003- 13 years ago, unless you're counting Season 8, the comic season. I haven't seen it. I didn't like how the writers ret-conned (I hate that I know that word) some of the stories in the Angel series. Did they do that with the comic season?
My favourite Buffy moment is when Tara's family say "We are her blood kin. What the hell are you?" and Buffy says "Her family." It just goes to show you can in fact choose your family.
Seeing supernatural get to season 15 just makes me realise how much more we could have had if Buffy and Angel both carried on for another 3 or 4 seasons each 😪. My two favourite shows ❤️
I gotta ask is your screen name a reference to When She Was Bad when Willow tries to spell bitch and Xander doesn't quite get it? Or is it a play on your name?
One of the moments I remember vividly is Anya's rant about death when she is saying how she doesn't understand how someone could be here one moment and gone the next
- Jenny killed by Angelus - Anya fights off Buffy - Buffy's prom speech - The gang stands up to Tara's family - "I think I'm kinda gay" - Angel betrays Faith OMG so many more moments, this show is phenomenal that you should make top 20.
On March 10, 1997, I didn't even hear about this show. I first heard about Buffy probably when I was in middle school about 4 years later. I saw the books in my local library, checked it out and started watching a few of the episodes. At the time, Buffy was on a network called UPN which no longer exists. It's now called My (some number depending on where you live) TV. Where I live it's called My50 TV. CW is the amalgamation of WB and UPN just fyi. But damn this was a long time ago. These were the good times.
I thought the same, "what about Angel killing Ms. Calendar?" that was the truly first time the show broke my heart. I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. I just couldn't believe it.
I was obsessed with this show from the minute it debuted and I'm still absolutely invested and in love with Buffy and Angel (don't come for me Buffy/Spike fans! I like Spike, just not with Buffy) It makes me yearn to be a 90s teen again!
I don't know what it was, but the Buffy vs Anya and the buffy vs willow fight was literally some of my favorite, and I felt it deserved a spot because of just how emotional it was on top of being just good fights something inside me feels alive when friends on tv shows like this fight it's dramatic real but intense as hell. Lol
I hate the whole "Ms mojo" thing, Buffy is an incredible show, with amazing characters , and genius writing, it appears to EVERYONE, i am tired how how they just assign things to a gender, they did the same with Supernatural 😡😡
We watched Angel season 1 along with Buffy season 4 to make sure it connected properly. Not much of a payoff beyond maybe 3 or 4 episodes. Most likely you will be able to figure out which episode goes along with Buffy's death.
Almost 2K of comments and I went down scrolling and reading as many as I could! Gave me tears how much I’m moved that I’m not alone ❤ I was a teenager when it came out and even know I remember how it felt watching it
I like the moment when Giles decided to leave Buffy to let her grow on her own, and when he returns, she is telling him what was happening and it sounds so hectic that they both started laughing. hahaha. that was funny I also love the episode with the demon who made everyone sing all the time, the best episode in all the series I've ever seen And that moment when Spike started to fall in love with Buffy and was standing under the tree at her house, smoking and there were a bunch of cigarettes piled on the ground. But when Buffy came out, he said he was just passing by. It was epic))) So many favourite moments, in fact, I can't list them all
When Buffy stands before the watchers council and says, "It's about power. I have it, they don't. " then informs the council that she doesn't work for them - they work for her. It was epic, and my all time favorite Buffy moment.
I'm rewatching the series on Disney+ Hotstar right now and Season 2 is STILL the best season in television history 23 years later. Especially Becoming Part 2. So many parts of that episode were so epic that it just blew my mind as a little 12 year old watching it for the first time. Buffy getting expelled 🤯 Buffy beating up a cop 🤯 Buffy and Spike teaming up 🤯 Buffy telling her mom she's the Slayer 🤯 Angel asking "Take all that away and what's left?" and Buffy catching the sword and replying "Me." 🤯 Buffy killing Angel after he got his soul back 🤯 Buffy walking out after her mom tells her dont you dare come back and then leaving town after saving the world 🤯 I was just as mindblown watching it yesterday as I was over two decades ago. The MCU has never delivered a single shock compared to this one episode of BtVS
Wow. I have to say, watching this makes me want to watch Buffy again. Out of all of these, I was really shocked when she killed Angel...mainly because I either read spoilers or someone spoiled the rest of the series for me.
I agree, but in addition: Jenny Calendar's death and Giles reaction. The speech that Xander gave to Dawn, so touching. The part in Once more with feeling during Buffy's Give me something to sing about, when she says the verse in which she reveals she has been in heaven. 3x21, when Buffy stabs Faith and she jumps down. In the 7th season, almost every Spike moments, in particular in the episode 20... but, most of all, 7x02: ''Buffy, can we rest?''.
I think one of the most underrated scenes is in "I Only Have Eyes For You". “No. A person doesn't just wake up and stop loving somebody! Love is forever. I’m not afraid to use it, I swear! If I can’t be with you…” Man, I love this show!
Buffy and Angel had one of the most epic love stories of all time. I never understood the Spike/Buffy thing. Just didn't make sense but they did have some nice, powerful moments of their own.
It’s because Spike changed I guess.. He grew up a lot since that Chip and when he fell for her.. But after 1 season of getting pissed and really mean torwards Spike she would screw around with him? Yeah nah.. way out of character for Buffy tbh.. but girls love bad boys I guess
@@GLBizzie Normally I would agree that it was OOC for Buffy, but... you have to take the circumstances into account. She was torn from heaven. From a place where she was truly happy, probably for the first time. She had never known happiness for more than a moment in her life since se became the Slayer. She was stripped of her reward and well-deserved rest. She was desperate to feel some semblance of happiness. And to use her words, Spike was just there, conveniently.
Jesus this tore my heart out
I cry at this episode every single time.
@Maria Blente Same. As absolutely cheesy as this is going to sound, I remembered that episode a while after my mother died and rewatched it and.. it was a way to process, I suppose. The show did an incredibly good job portraying this theme.
Anya trying to process mortal death is one of the best moments in that episode
That’s the one episode of anything that I bawl like a baby even though I know what’s coming. The stillness after someone dies, it’s like the world stops for you but keeps going for everyone else.
*"I love you"*
*"No you don't, but thanks for saying it."*
😥
Charlie Rose I believe she did I shipped them so hard maybe it wasn’t how spike wanted but I really believe in a way she did
@@diledile89 spoiler they got together in the comics
Spike broke me with that 😭
It's because of the issues of a relationship. Might she love him? Sure, but from spikes pov, she only had used him in the past. You never know how someone else feels, and have to try and interrupt their actions.
Gets me every time
"The hardest thing in this world is to live in it. Be brave. Live."
So many life lessons in Buffy.
Gregg Smith ikr entertaining and get a dose of knowledge
Ellie Dixon I love when she said that. it's just the way she said it
I HAVE HAD THIS SHOW IN MY LIFE EVER SINCE I WAS FOUR. SERIOUSLY, MY MOM RAISED MY FAMILY WITH THIS SHOW. MY LITTLE SISTER WAS NAMED FAITH BECAUSE SHE WAS MY MOM'S FAVORITE CHARACTER.
This show is my life, i'm watching it rn
Gregg Smith Like an Afterschool Special with Muscles.
Anya’s reaction to Buffy’s mother’s death in “The Body” was Emmy-worthy.
Emma worthy.
Not going to disagree with you there! Still one of the greatest shows of all time.
It makes me cry every single time.
Her rock ballad about bunnies is close.
Tbf no Buffy fan would be completely fine with most lists, just because we love all of it so much.
that was on my list too
the scene when her mother die... I cry so much omg so touching.
and when Buffy and Angel really really end and she go to the room and find willow and she star to cry like "I really lost the love of my life"
and when she finds Riley withe the vampire.
danny amador I saw that episode twice and I saw the complete serie like 7 times so imagine how that episode touch me... I can't stop crying.
danny amador btw sorry my English
One little bit I really loved... I can't quite recall which episode it was, but when Buffy finds out her mum is sick and is crying on the porch, and Spike is marching with a gun to shoot her, but when he sees her he just asks her what's wrong and pats her back in the most tender way. That always gets me.
Also after Spike has had his ass royally handed to him by Glory after not giving up Dawn as the Key, and Buffy pretends to be the Buffybot to find out why he didn't rat them out and she kisses him and tells him what he did for her and her sister was real. Also adorable.
The first one is Fool For Love and the second one is Intervention.
i love all the spuffy moments, the night they spend together after buffy was basicaly kicked out of her house by her friends, and how spike defends her, and what he says to her when he finds her... imma go rewatch the show again
Anastasiia Chertenkova Really?..
That makes me very happy.
This was literally the best show ever created
Ur not wrong
It's ok. But one thing I don't understand is how come every single vampire knows Kung Fu?
Were they all Kung Fu practitioners who got bitten? Is Mastery of Kung Fu just something that comes with becoming a vampire?
Or is there some kind of all night dojo where they go and practice?
Irie Ite well it gives them strength and power
hell yes!!!
That's my fav episode season 2 is my fav and passion was a pivotal moment that showed angel was truly evil plus I hated Jenny and was glad she died I also hated Tara she was my least favorite the entire show but that's later on
yes, it should have gotten an honourable mention.
OMG Ms Calendar death should be top 10
I still can't believe that happened. She was my favorite😭😭😭
Calm your tits!
And she could be evil too sometimes. She was a very real character
So what do we have now? Captain Marvel AKA plank of wood? Buffy is GOAT.
When Glory tortures Spike to give up Dawn's whereabouts, and Buffy tests whether he did or not with the BuffyBot. And the look in his eyes when he realises what's going on. That was an extremely touching scene.
ONE of so many GREAT scenes in Buffy. Soooo freaking good. Why can't we have more shows like that!?
Best Buffy moment: Angelus gets kicked in the nuts!
But seriously. For the shock value, and as an indication of what Angelus could bring to the series, Angelus killing Miss Calendar and Giles finding her body should be up there somewhere.
omg don't remind me of that.
You are so right. How is that not in here.
thats so true it should be up there it should replace when cordelia makes her wish. thats not really that unforgettable not like angelus killing ms calendar
YES!!! When Giles finds Ms Calendar's mangled body on his bed and calls Buffy, she passes the phone to Willow in shock, Willow starts sobbing, I cry so hard! OMG This TV show has emasculated me so much I have the emotional maturity of a blueberry scone....
the part that really got me... was when Giles called and told Buffy and Willow. welling up just thinking about it.
"you can't leave me. I can't do this alone" ❤️
Freaking right! OMGosh!
Loved that moment, too. I hated when, later on, the relationship between Buffy and Giles kinda deteriorated and never truly recovered from it.
finally a watch mojo video for buffy....i feel like the moment in season 1 where buffy says "giles im sixteen years old...i dont wanna die" should have at least been an honorable mention it was a powerful turning point for the show and character
That's when the show officially got me hooked. I totally got it at that moment. And I never looked back.
Rose Kahn yeh same it was where u finally understood buffy wasnt indistructable. She was a scared girl and it was relateable and vulnerable and beautiful...i miss buffy so much
still around in comic book format :)
The One And Only yeh i spose but nothing beats sitting and watching buffy with cup of coffee to keep u up while u marathon it cus ur trapped after one ep lol
True,, but right now, I take what I can get :)
One of my favorite moments is when the Watcher's Council is testing Buffy, making sure she is up to par, when she realizes that she has power and they have none. The scene is pretty powerful and shows how much she had grown.
I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions
Yepp! Should have been on the list
That was an insanely cool moment. LOVED IT.
No scene with Spike hugging the cross? It was one of the most dramatic moments in the series.
That scene's one of my favourites.
Anything after season 5 sucked in my opinion. Anything before that was amazing!
also the moment where he tells Buffy that he loves her but doesn't need her love in return because he loves her for who she is.
Its the episode called The One" Amazing speech
One of the scenes I found really moving was when Buffy, pretending to be the Buffybot, goes to Spike and offers to give Dawn to Glory, after Glory tortured him. Spike refuses and says he would rather die than let Glory know that Dawn was The Key. He said that losing Dawn would devastate Buffy and he wouldn't let that happen. She was genuinely moved. Things changed a little between them then...
I think that was part of the reason Buffy didn't kill him after the attempted rape in season 6, and why she continued to protect him in season 7.
I LOVE THIS SCENE! And the scene before this when Spike actually goes to shoot Buffy and instead finds her upset and comforts her. They had such powerful scenes those two, directed so amazingly well and written. Damnit I miss this show.
Such a freaking amazing show. I honestly don't know if there has been another show where I felt so attached to the characters.
@@vampfan7569in season 7, she was clearly in love with him, Joss said it
I'm surprised the moment she revealed that her friends tore her from heaven wasn't on the list. That was one of the most intense moments after the show switched networks..
Buffy killing Angel is probably the single best television moment of all time. So emotional, allegorical and epic at the same time. The show never got any better than that.
5x16 and 5x22 in my eyes they are on par with this scene
I love how wrong you and those who agreed with you are. That way, I can point and laugh. Season 3 and 5 out did them.
@@starlight004 Why I'm wrong?
@@aidacailar1126 You're not wrong.... you're just having a different opinion and that's perfectly fine.... don't listen to them.... 😢😊😊😊
one of the honourable mentions should have been from the episode family where everyone stepped up for Tara and they became her family
I loved that moment
Its one of the best episodes
It makes me cry every time
I think Ms. Calendars death as well. I LOVED her, and the way Angelus did is was freakin brilliant!
I loved how they proved she wasn't a demon. Since Spike couldn't hurt humans he just punched her in the face, when it caused him pain too they knew her family was lying.
I love when Spike's speech to Buffy and Angel about what love is
Right!
Honestly - if there is another show out there that even comes close to Buffy I haven't found it yet.
LOL, TOP 10 Buffy moments? Make it TOP 100 and we will still miss some. Such a great show that was.
Dave D´ave still is ! I have been hoping forever they release it on bluray. Shit they can keep the 4:3 ratio for all I care but give us the HD resolution. Twin Peaks did it right.
I can say that and I'm only on season two
When Buffy told Angel to drink her blood to cure him of that poison Faith shot him with. That was true romance. Also the prom night episode. Angel showed up in a tux whrn Buffy ghought he wouldn't be there. Then the senior class gave her an award called "Class Protector". That was the moment she realized the class knew her secret all along, and they loved her for it.
literally got to go from child to teen and loved this show.
two stand out memories for me not mentioned;
1. kendra's throat slashed by drusilla
2. angel killing ms calendar
Adam Michael Kendra’s death was a top 3 moment. I still remember Buffy coming around the corner while Dru was hypnotizing her. Ms. Calendar’s death should’ve been here too
Definitely Kendra's death is at the top. They way Buffy runs to help then finds her dead...gut wrenching
Such a good show. No boring moment, has the right amount of drama, romance, comedy and action
Freaking right. I'm a dude who HATES freaking crying. I did. Sigh.
I feel like Anya's "why" moment should have gotten an honourable mention too. Other than that, for me, Buffy killing Angel was definitely first place!
Barry Scheidler exactly!!!
Angel was demented as hell for that!!
Angelus was a total savage ;-; welp I still think Spike is a million times better than soppy Angel
Cruel but brilliant
@@catboyneilcicierega I never liked Angel either, but Angelus...he was my favorite villain. Too short lived
Jenny's death definitely set a precedent, Joss trolled the audience thinking she'd escape like they always do, but then... snap.
@@illusionzman3549 Thanos snap (im sorry I had to. you probably won't get the joke but if you do I'm sorry)
My favorite show ever!! Never got over the fact that Buffy and Angel couldn’t make it work.
@@girlytomboyx I loved them as a couple, but I really my favorite scene of them together was in the graveyard after Joyce's funeral. So good. And of course Becoming Part 2.
Buffy and Angel will always be my favorite TV couple🥰 i cried so much when Buffy killed Angel😭😭
Still my favorite show of all time
cherrip1e yeah, easily my top show, have watched and rewatched so many times now, and still cry my eyes out or laugh out loud. Joss Whedon is a genius, I loved his show Doll House (but stupid fox axed it) and his movie cabin in the woods is awesome! I know he has other shows and movies but these are my favs lol
Hey, the fights are awesome too lol
I think Spike's soul revelation in that church was an A+ scene for sure!
Buffy will forever be my fave show. Prom was a pretty unforgettable moment when she got the umbrella for being the class protector "every now and then people surprise you, every now and then"
Joyce hits me in the heart every time
There will never be a show as amazing as Buffy the Vampire Slayer. ❤️
The "What is your childhood trauma?" quote has stayed with me forever ❤
tRiShA456 hahaha right? Love it
: Buffy getting the class protector award at the prom), Xanders speech to Dawn '' You're not special, you are incredible'', Xander bravery at the end of ''The Zeppo'', The humus conversation from graduation. Buffy speech at the end of showtime, Xander as Dracula's thrall and finally Giles singing ''freebird''
Buffy getting her award never fails to make me cry like a little bitch.
G Wilson It brings a tear to mine too.
He calls her extraordinary. You're not special, you're extraordinary.
FeelMyBankai correct, was typing from memory. Still feel silly as its one of my favourite ''Buffy moments''
This show is just so EXTRAORDINARY!! Like every single season just has moments which are breathtaking! Iconic show now and forever more! 🖤
ICONIC is the word!
My favourite scene is when Buffy over hears Giles and Angel talking about how It's her destiny to die at the hands of the Master. And she breaks down, throwing books at Giles screaming "Tell me the signs, tell me my fortune. Your so useful sitting here with all your books!" And Angel tries to calm her down, but Buffy still says "I resign, I quit, you can find someone else to defeat the Master!" And Giles all somewhat speechless, and Buffy in tears saying "you think it'll hurt?" XD I loved this show too much 😂
*me crying because I’m reliving all the pain I felt while watching this great show*
Sooo EASILY one of the - if not the - best show ever. Honestly.
When Buffy pretends to be the Buffybot to find out if Spike gave up Dawn when he was being tortured by Glory! Beautiful moment!
for me one of the most memorable and heart breaking scenes was when Giles' found Jenny's body

Buffy and spike in the church when he tells her about his soul
Every Buffy and Spike moment is memorable. The best one was when Buffy was in self doubt when the slayers kicked her out of her own house in season 7. Spike gave her the most heartwarming speech of how amazing she is and how he loved all different sides of her. She then kicked ass because of it. Spike should be the one for her. He knows all sides of her because they started as enemies to lovers. Every time Buffy was either in need of help or need someone to talk to, its always Spike.
I love Buffy! I never missed an episode. I own every season, and I still watch it.
I just watch random episodes i like🤣🤣
Definitely not done by a fan. It's an-jell-us not ayn-gel-is. Also, who the hell is JOSH Whedon?! I thought it was a slip of the tongue, but she said it twice.
Kailey Lindsey omg ur kidding right he's the one who created this sow and he's done other very famous movies like the avengers etc search him
What Kailey Lindsey was saying is that the creator's name is Joss Whedon not Josh, and the voice over is pronouncing his name incorrectly
The person who made this video was saying JOSH Whedon. His name is JOSS Whedon...
It's like when people said that they were fans of the show but kept calling Giles, "Guyles"
I just heard Ayn-gel-us too... nope and nope. An-jell-us. Like angelic. As in the one with the angelic face which is what it means.
This!!!!
Kendra's arrival was unforgettable too!!! Who would have expected a second slayer?
We actually have two Kendra questions in our Buffy Trivia video!
How can you NOT include the ending of the episode Family, where Tara gets away from her abusive family with the help of Buffy and the Scoobies?

I guess you only watched season 6 then?
Those are all season 5 though.
Miaka99
No, Musical = S6E07, Tabula Rasa = S6E08, Gone = S6E11
The thing I want to know is why you keep referring to it as "the musical"! The name of the episode is Once More With Feeling.
MoPro Uploads Because, there is only one musical episode. sure it's Once More With Feeling, but that takes more work to type out.

Ah the episode is called “I will remember you” - will always remember it because it’s soul destroying 😢 bangel - what could have been.
Buffy and Angel moments. I loved it when they are together.

Giles: puts on glasses "And... you're not just dealing with two little girls."
Xander: "You're dealing with all of us."
Spike: "'Cept me."
Xander: "... 'Cept Spike."
Spike: "I don't care what happens."
Douche: "This is insane. You people have no right to interfere with Tara's affairs. We are her blood kin! Who the hell are you?"
Buffy: "Her family."
Douche, Jr.: "Dad... You gonna let 'em just...? Tara, if you don't get in that car, I swear by God I'm gonna beat you down."
Xander: "And I swear by your full and manly beard you're gonna break something trying."
Twit: "Well, I hope you'll all be happy hanging with some disgusting demon."
Anya: raises hand "Excuse me. What kind?"
Twit: "What?"
Anya: "What kind of demon is she? There's a lot of kinds. Some are very, very evil. Some are considered to be very useful members of society."
Twit: "I-I- It doesn't matter."
Douche: "Evil. It's evil."
Anya: "Let's just narrow it down."
Spike: "Oh, why don't we make this simple?" punches Tara in the face, then fakes pain
Willow: "Hey!... Hey..."
Tara: "He hit my nose..."
Willow: "And it hurt... uh, him, I mean."
Buffy: "That only works on humans."
Spike: "There's no demon in there. Just a family legend, am I right?"
-----------
Faith: "You're not gonna kill these people."
Boone: "Why not?"
Faith: "Because it's wrong!"
-----------
Xander: "She can read our minds? Our every impulse and fantasy?"
Buffy: "Every one."
Xander:
Cordelia:
Joseph Davis,
Spike didn't fake pain in "Family" (S5,E6). He had a functioning chip until season 7, episode 13, "The Killer in Me," when his chip was finally removed.
-----------
Regarding "Earshot," why do you say "RDH" for Wesley Wyndam-Pryce?
Joseph Davis THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! so good I laughed the entire time that was so good thank you for the Buffy memories 😘😉💜
Hahahaha Douche, love it.
Joseph Davis lol "douche" and "twit", " whatever, can I go!?"
Beach Girl , random dick head.
When she says "Josh" instead of "Joss" it is like someone slaps me.
And when she says angel-us instead of an-jell-us
Yeah thats really infuriating
@@almaw2005 thank you both for noticing. came to the comments to vent!
Really irritating
23 years since the first episode aired !!! This will always be one of my favourite shows , i miss it :(
I always liked Buffy's dramatic power pose in the first episode of the second season.
Paul Byrd Buffy claws her way out of her coffin
The Judge: "you're a fool. No weapon forged can stop me."
Buffy:"That was then." - picks up rocket launcher- "This is now.
The Judge: "What's that do?"
boom shaka lacka boom shaka lacka BOOOOOOM!!!
Exactly my thought too Shane.
My favourite Buffy moment is when Tara's family say "We are her blood kin. What the hell are you?" and Buffy says "Her family." It just goes to show you can in fact choose your family.
I cried so much when Oz and Willow broke up 😭😭
@anmullenax05 it made me sad when i saw that Episode seening Oz And Willow Had Broken Up
I loved the way Tara and Willow became friends and then more but I OZ and Willow were always my favorite. They were a perfect match
Willow got what she deserved. She cheated first.
Just watching a small clip of the scene where Buffy kills Angel makes me cry a little. It was the most emotional scene in the whole series.
Seeing supernatural get to season 15 just makes me realise how much more we could have had if Buffy and Angel both carried on for another 3 or 4 seasons each 😪. My two favourite shows ❤️
IF FREAKING ONLY! Wow. Two of the best shows ever in my opinion.
FINALLY its has arrived! I've never clicked a watchmojo/ms mojo vid faster...!!!
they still need to make a top ten buffy episodes vid, but same
Agreed! Like MsMojo has done with Sex and the City (seperate funniest, serious, memorable moments) they should do multiple Buffy Top 10s
I gotta ask is your screen name a reference to When She Was Bad when Willow tries to spell bitch and Xander doesn't quite get it? Or is it a play on your name?
Aaron Yuro A Buffy reference all the way! One of the first episodes I saw & thought it was a funny scene & decided to keep watching the series
Am I the first person to catch the reference?
One of the moments I remember vividly is Anya's rant about death when she is saying how she doesn't understand how someone could be here one moment and gone the next
- Jenny killed by Angelus
- Anya fights off Buffy
- Buffy's prom speech
- The gang stands up to Tara's family
- "I think I'm kinda gay"
- Angel betrays Faith
OMG so many more moments, this show is phenomenal that you should make top 20.
This list pisses me off! Ummm hello... JENNY CALENDAR DYING? Top 3 worthy!
Agreed!
it certainly is more memorable than Oz leaving Willow a brilliant one off episode in the wish and Spike kissing Buffy
I thought the same, "what about Angel killing Ms. Calendar?" that was the truly first time the show broke my heart. I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. I just couldn't believe it.
Patrícia Jorge it was a no return moment and the first major death moment showed the consequences of Angel losing his soul and he had to be put down.
I agree, they should have replaced it with Faith and Buffy body switching. Sure that was a good moment. But not for a top 10.
Number one with Angel getting killed and the music following it always gives me anxiety. It's a masterful scene and my favourite of all time!
I was obsessed with this show from the minute it debuted and I'm still absolutely invested and in love with Buffy and Angel (don't come for me Buffy/Spike fans! I like Spike, just not with Buffy) It makes me yearn to be a 90s teen again!
Same I liked the spike character I just didn’t like him for Buffy , Buffy and angel was perfect
NOT going to disagree with you in ANY WAY!
Lol
Not going to disagree with you in any way!
I hate the whole "Ms mojo" thing, Buffy is an incredible show, with amazing characters , and genius writing, it appears to EVERYONE, i am tired how how they just assign things to a gender, they did the same with Supernatural 😡😡
I loved the show. Buffy killing angel was so well shot- her face at the end- it could not be better executed. Bravo
I just finished the series on Netflix on Monday (LOVED IT!!!) and have promptly started on Angel. So far, so good! :)
We watched Angel season 1 along with Buffy season 4 to make sure it connected properly. Not much of a payoff beyond maybe 3 or 4 episodes. Most likely you will be able to figure out which episode goes along with Buffy's death.
Why didn't you warn me about Doyle?! I wasn't ready!!! :(
Wait until you meet Hoyt the vampire hunter...
Yep - I thought my edit was saved - apparently not.
Almost 2K of comments and I went down scrolling and reading as many as I could! Gave me tears how much I’m moved that I’m not alone ❤ I was a teenager when it came out and even know I remember how it felt watching it
I like the moment when Giles decided to leave Buffy to let her grow on her own, and when he returns, she is telling him what was happening and it sounds so hectic that they both started laughing. hahaha. that was funny
I also love the episode with the demon who made everyone sing all the time, the best episode in all the series I've ever seen
And that moment when Spike started to fall in love with Buffy and was standing under the tree at her house, smoking and there were a bunch of cigarettes piled on the ground. But when Buffy came out, he said he was just passing by. It was epic)))
So many favourite moments, in fact, I can't list them all
"Out. For. A. Walk."
"BITCH."
Snazzy Kitten "and u have stupid hair"
thank god!!! Buffy is the best show ever!!!!
Buffy getting expelled 🤯
Buffy beating up a cop 🤯
Buffy and Spike teaming up 🤯
Buffy telling her mom she's the Slayer 🤯
Angel asking "Take all that away and what's left?" and Buffy catching the sword and replying "Me." 🤯
Buffy killing Angel after he got his soul back 🤯
Buffy walking out after her mom tells her dont you dare come back and then leaving town after saving the world 🤯
I was just as mindblown watching it yesterday as I was over two decades ago. The MCU has never delivered a single shock compared to this one episode of BtVS
Amen
THANK YOU and TOTALLY agree! Season 2 was easily one of the - if not the - best season of a show ever.
Wow. I have to say, watching this makes me want to watch Buffy again. Out of all of these, I was really shocked when she killed Angel...mainly because I either read spoilers or someone spoiled the rest of the series for me.
this makes me want to watch buffy. also, hearing "the sacrifice" from the gift 😭😭😭
Watch it! It will be one of the best things you will ever do.
I agree, but in addition:
Jenny Calendar's death and Giles reaction.
The speech that Xander gave to Dawn, so touching.
The part in Once more with feeling during Buffy's Give me something to sing about, when she says the verse in which she reveals she has been in heaven.
3x21, when Buffy stabs Faith and she jumps down.
In the 7th season, almost every Spike moments, in particular in the episode 20... but, most of all, 7x02:
''Buffy, can we rest?''.
**cries all over the keyboard**
ThatOnePerson
Alligator Tears?
lol when the mayor snake says 'oh, gosh', I just can't even.
I think one of the most underrated scenes is in "I Only Have Eyes For You".
“No. A person doesn't just wake up and stop loving somebody! Love is forever. I’m not afraid to use it, I swear! If I can’t be with you…”
Man, I love this show!
If there is honestly a show out there that is as good as Buffy was I have not found it.
I agree. It seemed force to me. They tried to recreate the Angel and Buffy magic but it fell flat to me. Just toxic and gross.
TOTALLY agree.
Buffy and Spike are the best love story girl
