    Amazing video and information. The only thing I’m stuck here wondering why didn’t you tell us the foot pound for 9 and 10 just like you did for the rest of the bolts which you told us the degree and ft lbs

      @@jorge56188 I’ll be purchasing another LS soon and will be doing a complete video series over the entire build no matter how small the detail I’ll make sure I put all the info in the next video.

    Great job on the engine.
    I have 5.3LS L83 Cylinder heads. M12 X 1.75 X 135 bolts. Do you know the torque specs of mine?

      With the TTY bolts yes. You can buy ARP bolts that are just a torque spec only.

      M11 Bolts
      Step 1 22 lb ft Bolts 1-10
      Step 2 90° Bolts 1-10
      Step 3 90° Bolts 1-8 Bolts 9&10 50°
      M8 Bolts
      11-15 22 lb ft

      First pass 22 ft lbs
      Second pass 90°
      Final pass 70°

      You have to purchase one specifically for angles not all torque wrenches have it.

      I bought a Durofix 1/2" ANGLE digital torque adapter. $85 on Ebay. For use with existing 1/2" breaker bar. Just doing one 2003 LS engine. Positive reviews. Maybe upgrade if I get totally bitten by the LS bug. 1982 Volvo LS swap.

      No, they end at 50 degrees.

      I understand that both nine and 10 is 50° final pass but what was the foot pound on them????

      Don’t know wasn’t concerned with final torque. Just following the the proper steps.

      I have the tool to do it to GM spec instead of just “sending it”
