- This video is for people who have watched all of the other videos about trying to get their door handles unstuck and failed. Especially if you don’t use the door handles enough they will likely end up this way. I skipped a lot of the steps to get to the interior of the handle hoping that everyone that comes to this video is already at that point.

I'm personally not a fan of wd-40, I'll use any oil besides wd-40, in my opinion it's not as oily and effective as any other penetrating oil, which I don't believe to work at all on rusty nuts/bolts, it's all a sham in that aspect. BUT for this application ANY spray lube/oil or penetrating oil will work.

I have an Ford Escape 2002 and the drivers door doesn't open, so how do I open it? I just bought it so if you can tell me or do a video it would help a whole bunch
@@PastorWhite3 The door won't open from either side? You have to be able to get to the latch assembly. I made this video quite a few years ago so I don't remember really what the inside of this particular Ford Escape looks like especially on the drivers front but you have to possibly damage your door panel to get it away from the door enough to where you can get your hand in there and unlatch it manually with a screwdriver or a pair of pliers or something. It's going to be a pain in the ass and irritating but once you get it open you have to start taking things apart to figure out what is broken. Just look at the whole inside and outside door handles, and look at the latch, just look for something that doesn't look right. Broken parts disconnected pieces dangling rods. Broken cables whatever. It's really hard to get a door open when the door is stuck shut. Because you have to take the door panel off and that requires a door being open. But you can pull it off enough to where you can get your hand in there to get it open and get the door panel off and inspect it and see what you need to replace. If yours isn't opening from the inside or the outside it's probably the latch or the linkage, I believe some cars inside and outside handles are tied together with the same linkage, cable, rod or latch assembly. Just try to get the door panel away from the door as best you can with it shut and get the door open as your number one priority and then figure out from there what's wrong. Test the latch by using a screwdriver as a striker instead of the door frame and you can see what is broken that way, I'll get back to you as soon as I can if you respond. FLOPPY FRIGGIN DOOR HANDLES! THE REAR DOOR JUST SEEMS STUCK. Who posesses the key to where to start prying this door panel off? Anyone?please...
Unfortunately you have to pry the panel off while the door is closed, you have to gain access to this part of the handle to open the door, the problem is that it's seized in the open position and locked if I remember correctly.
