One of the best(if not the best of em all) & my fav Final Boss battles in Ys series. It is so much fun that I wanted to up the difficulty even more(to Inferno), just so I can keep it going with that adrenaline rush. Those unique animated scene that you get as a reward from the perfect guard & dodge(in red & blue attacks) is also just unmatched.
RIGHT?! So many people felt let down since it wasnt the Rawr evil big fella, but this was rarely poetic. Having them fight together and Lila and Rollo getting their closure.
I will be honest about this Adol is one of the most underratted adventurers out there. At the same time he may need to past the torch one day. Would enjoy seeing him grown up and op like the adults in the trails series. Come to the rescue while the kiddies are like huh.
Honestly no idea I did 100% of story of this game and couldnt find out...but what I understand is that to normans runes can hold memories within mana. So Karja might hold a rune of her journey with adol, as to remember him by.
@@Light14Lilium the running gag with adol throughout half of the Ys series is: 1. He will get amnesia at the start 2. The ships that he's on are doomed to be sunk (safe to say that Karja sucked his sea luck dry on Nordics) 3. All op gears/weapons/artifacts that he get will be lost (refer to no 2) 4. In every new title he will be woken up by a new heroine
@@gerryanputra7217 Ahh yeah I just got up to date with a bit of lore...apparently developers thought this amnesia gag would explain why he forgot all his abilities of previous games...but lately chose to simply NOT explain it. I think I prefer that.
Ah jezz... why not just make the 2 of em get together already or just have em continuing to adventure together instead of such a weird and yet heartpulling ending
That would defeat the whole purpose of Adventuring and discovering the world and its secrets which is what the series is all about, he can't get married and settle down nor have every heroine that he meets in each game join him on his adventure moving forward, that would not be feasible.

Don't want to spoil but there is certain something after the final battle here(in epilogue) that you would enjoy.
Best modern Ys final boss hands down.
The credits showijg Adol and Dogi (with Dr. Flair) in their Celceta clothes was a beautiful touch

It's odd, this kinda reminds me of Tales of Xillia where Jude & Milla had to fight Gaius & Muzet in a two on two boss fight!!!
