      he has very short femurs, and since weightlifting has tons of squatting, hence his quads size. he has a long torso with long shins and short femurs, that makes his body ideal for squatting but poor for deadlifting since he doesnt have the length and as a result minimal strength from hams and glutes. if you watch closesly his main strength is just the beginning portion of the movement because hes upright and with his short femurs make it very easy during the first pull. beyond that hes instable dipping below the bar, he depends too much on his quads but has little ham and glute strength to hold that position.

    • @tuptugen
      @tuptugen 6 лет назад +3

      I would say definitely. Compared to his upper body and shins. Perfect proportions.

    • @turkishdelight6032
      @turkishdelight6032 6 лет назад +2

      That gives me hope then. I have his proportions, and I guess similar to a lot of asians, but I always felt like my femurs were long compared to my shins, and my legs super short compared to my torso. I always felt more comfortable squatting narrow with neutral feet, so I guess I'll go switch back from flared feet :D

    • @tuptugen
      @tuptugen 6 лет назад +4

      Legs/body proportions dont really determine your stance, your hip socket, the depth and an angle of it do. :) Having short femurs and long torso enables one to be more upright in the starting position in the snatch and clean and jerk and also in squatting as the body doesnt have to lean as much to cover the bar. Depends on the mobility too of course. Its also better for the spine and use of legs. Some people are just made for their sport :) But then...look at Usain Bolt or some of the super heavies in weightlifting like Lasha Talakhadze, the dude is the best but proportionally not so much. It just shows that genetics mean nothing. Hard work and deciation matter the most. :)

    • @turkishdelight6032
      @turkishdelight6032 6 лет назад +2

      Yeah you right, but for me changing just my stance makes the most observable difference. I'm very mobile in my ankles, but I can only get so much lateral rotation from my hips, bringing my feet in a bit gives me so much more bounce and allows me to utilize my quad dominance more. I felt like I was going to turn to dust every time I experimented with a big powerlifter stance

      "We noticed that many of the lifters had well manicured hands except they liked growing the nail longer on the thumb -- some longer than others. I took the opportunity and asked our new friend 85kg senior lifter Zhao Yongchao why this was so and this is what he had to say. - According to Zhao Yongchao, there's a callus that gets formed on the middle finger from the usage of the hook grip. . [pausing as you all examine your hands] . This area on the middle finger is typically where the thumb will contact with the middle finger and create a lock so the barbell won't rotate and fly out of your hands during the lift. By growing the thumb nail out, it's like having a longer lever in which to lock against the callus. With this, you can have a stronger, firmer yet more relaxed grip on the bar."
