Movie "Christine": Songs played on 1958 Plymouth Radio

- I was amazed at how good these sounded on an AM radio! Played on my 1958 Plymouth radio (Mopar 854, built by Motorola), using an AM transmitter, recorded with a Fuji digital camera.
When going through the songs from the moving, I noticed that half the lead singers were already dead when the movie was made, and I became curious as to what happened to the others. Turns out, only 2 of the 10 made it to age 59, and 3 of them shot themselves to death. The one who is still alive escaped death in 1959 when he declined a plane ride that killed 2 of the others.
I mostly played the portions of each song that were played in the movie. I had to limit "We Belong Together" to 20 seconds for copyright reasons.
0:08 Not Fade Away - Buddy Holly with The Crickets
1:39 Pledging My Love - Johnny Ace
3:09 Keep A Knockin' - Little Richard
3:26 We Belong Together - Robert Carr & Johnny Mitchell
3:46 I Wonder Why - Dion DiMucci and The Belmonts
4:43 Little Bitty Pretty One - Thurston Harris
5:56 Bony Moronie - Larry Williams
6:42 Come On,Let's Go! - Ritchie Valens
8:26 Rock and Roll is Here to Stay - Danny Rapp and The Juniors
Wow, to hear music coming out of those speakers... That would be something... Enjoy the scares, but keep sight of the joy of the 50's! Those songs have an innocence that probably couldn't happen at any other time.
Ritchie valens “your mine” gives me the most chills for some reason
This makes me want to own a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere and I turn on that song people I bet would run out of vehicle scared
@@truckertae9725 it would be a perfect security system👍
@@getajobpayyourtaxes1992 yea because no one would want to steal that car
@@truckertae9725 that’s Robert Johnny.
You're
Christine definitely comes to mind
Does it?? Really??? It’s not like it’s literally in the title or anything.

When I hear this I Christine comes in my mind and I love
Does it?? Really??? It’s not like it’s literally in the title or anything.
@@ArnieCunningham-wm4swGood to see you're alive hopefully out of the influence of Christine
God it doesn't even have to be a 58 plymouth. It could be a 54 chevy I just wanna hold one of those beautiful big steering wheels just listening to these amazing classics.
Christine is my favorite movie
Awesome 👌 I wish I could have a car like that because I totally would be doing the same. Hell yeah
This video just made my day😊 coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you.
Thanks!
Love the car and love the music too!!!!
This is going the extra mile (no pun intended) to play these tunes via AM on the radio of Christine's cousin and so wonderful to listen to - Very well done :)
I’m so glad it wasn’t replaced with an FM/CD/MP3/Bluetooth unit!
@@jayrogers8255 It actually was replaced. I unreplaced it :)
Thanks! Was fun putting it together.
@@brianandcindy1 you did right by it!!!
@@brianandcindy1 but how were you able to play these songs on the radio though? What modifications did you make??
Esa música nunca pasarán de moda y menos esas naves ahora todo es desechable aquí desde la Gran TENOCHTITLAN dando like a este video.
I wish i had christine
A song I'd like to hear thorough this radio is The Falling Pebbles 1968 hit "I Wanna See Her Sit'n My Mate's Chair", which came out ten years after Christine was born.
For Halloween next year or whatever have the kids get in the car shut the door when the music kicks in out of nowhere that would be hilarious😂😂
Christine 😭😭❤️❤️💖💖
So just imagine your walking down the road and you hear a Plymouth fury approach little bitty pretty one playing on the radio
Love ❤ this ❤
Amazing
I enjoy this movie
amazing car nd luv the music luv that car christine
I love it ❤👍👍👍😂😂😂
love the songs and the car thanks for the download
3:09 The original car alarm.
Best car ever.
Cool 😀
Asesome. Thank you
The first song we hear is what She played after killing the man who dumped ash on Her seat…
Her first killing
Всё представлял, помню. Как вконце рабочего дня, за мной, сама приезжает Cristin, с работающим радио;)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷😉😉😉😉👍👍👍
best car
Sounds like these songs were created for this car
Try play some pop songs on that '58, wonder how will a 1950s sound system do with modern music.
Girl that call that call is actually possessed I don't know if you saw that though but look on the on the video on the I said almost like the end of the song the Kenwood glitches
How are you getting the music to come from the radio? Bluetooth or soemthing?
AM Transmitter
I’m genuinely wondering why your first thought it was Bluetooth. That wasn’t a thing when these cars were made. It very well could’ve been regular radio.
@@ArnieCunningham-wm4sw I know but I’ve seen conversions to turn these into Bluetooth radios that’s likely originally an AM band only radio as FM was either really new or didn’t exist yet
i always wanted a 58 fury cuz of christine how am looking for one in a juck yaer and make a good deal for it so i can fix it up
This one is a 4 door Plaza. Not as cool as a 2 door HT, but cost me way less, so I'm happy with it.
Die cast that I got it's great
Wow it actually has some bass! What size speaker is in the dash and/or rear? I know older speakers were built better though or seem to be especially these old tube driven ones.
Not sure, but it is definitely not original speakers. But I have a truck with a very nice Bose system that doesn't sound nearly this good on AM radio.
These had a 5X7 up in the Dash, 6X9 in the back if they had a rear speaker.
my dream is to have this car
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🇵🇭
👍
Reminds me of my first car. A 1963 Plymouth with the underpowered but reliable slant 6. Would barely climb the grapevine hill at 50 mph. Paid $300. in 1970. FM? Hahahahah. . . .
Did you have the 2 speed automatic? My car has the flathead 6 (2nd to last year before slant 6) and the 2 speed. High ratio rear gives it decent acceleration at low speeds, but it's screaming by 60mph. Top end is in the 80s, but I have never pushed that.

@@bobbyheffley4955 Yes, and 6 cylinder, so not winning any races
This is really unique, how did you do it?
I used an AM transmitter connected to my cell phone.
I like the song though ☺️☺️
Quick question, does the transmitter override the other signal from the radio station or do both come through
The transmitter can be adjusted within a range. You just find a tuning that doesn't have a competing station.
Hi, do you have an AM transmitter for this?
Yes
@@brianandcindy1 Hey thank you! Can you tell me where I can get one, here I only have FM transmitters but no AM and I would like to have the radio play again in my old box from 1956 ;-) Unfortunately I don't have a 1958 Plymouth, because yours gives me goosebumps!🙃😬
@@mkoldiefan I found it on ebay.
Акустика сток?
Is that you Cuttingham?
You ain’t mad are you?
This is scary 😂
Il suono entra nella radio della macchina da una sorgente esterna
