i like how eggs go up .50 and they have the audacity to put "low price" on the sign lol
To them "low price" means it is not on sale. So it is just regular price
@@Usagi22912 I know, it also means it could be going up in price at any time. its still just a slap in the face to the consumer. if they know what they buy on a reg basis has gone up considerably, just list the price, dont say "low price" even if to kroger its a technical term. JS

Just checked the preview of the upcoming ad for Friday on. Good sales, including eggs.
Stopped in at a local store yesterday. It was packed, which was good to see. The young ladies behind the counter had to go back to the freezer/cooler to get customers what they wanted, and to try to restock what they were low on. Someone was always making sure that the shelves were stocked. It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip,no pun intended.
Sounds like a Save-A-Lot grocery I go to sometimes. They are always above and beyond in customer service.

@@bethyeary8995 I assumed that was probably the case. JFI, Save-A-Lot stores are 100% owned by the employees. Hence the attention to details there.

I see a few more coupons this week at mine.
I went to a Kroger in Louisville Wednesday with my sister when we went to out brothers. The area has a large Jewish and Muslim patronage and there are always sales and clearances on specialty foods. Tell folks to check out different sections for new things and preps. (Kosher and Halal foods have to be particularly pure.) I get a lot in the Latin and Asian sections in mine, (I'm Irish and Italian.)

Often, summer sales and off brand availability make buying for the year a good thing to do. But definitely buying for holiday and football season. Red jello can be used plain or added to and dressed up multiple ways for Valentines as can green/ lime for St Patrick's.

At $4 per watermellon, $20 buys 5 watermellon. Watermellon doesn't need refrigeration right away when left uncut and you should get at least a couple of days to prepare and freeze them. Watermellon balls are nice but square-ish, bite sized pieces goes faster. I like to cut watermellon in a jelly-roll pan; cookie sheet with vertical edges. Every so often I pour the juice off into a measuring cup with a nice wide opening. You can eyeball, measure, or weigh tne watermellon in the freezer bags. If the watermellon doesn't come out with the flavor or texture you prefer, put it in a blender as part of a smoothie. Or blend it with ice to create a slushie type concoction.
While you're at it, look up "watermellon rind pickles". These can be stored in the fridge for a shorter duration or water bath canned. Make a small batch or recipie to find out if ypunlike them before making very many.

You should do a live stream of your firework show, and we need to pray for everybody safety from the hurricane that’s out there and it’s supposed to move towards Mexico and Texas and we should be stocking up if you live in the south because it’s hurricane season and it’s already starting off rough I live in Louisiana so I’ve been watching to see where it goes
Danno the new week starts friday and goes thru tuesday with the new digital deals. the mega sale continues thru tues also.
I went to Kroger yesterday & felt kind of ripped off. I wanted to buy the ribeyes that were on sale for $8.99 a pound. I bought 2 family packs, because that's all they had under the sale sign. Come to find out the family packs were $11.99 & only the single ribeyes (which they had none out) were $8.99. I also noticed that the 10 for $10 pre-made hamburgers you often show are now 8 for $10. Instead of being in the rectangular packaging, it's now square (tell-tale sign).
This whole sale was confusing, as they extended it to cover July 4.
Sounds like they were tricking people to come in , it's a tactic they use alot. Inflation, shrink flatiron, sale it's in paper, then don't have sale items in store but, higher prices comparable or less of the product for triple the price.

A lot of it is because of big turnovers in employees, overworked good ones and undertrained new ones. Most Kroger stores are notorious for running their good workers into the ground, (I worked there, 3 of 4 grandkids did.My husband worked for another Krogerfamily store many years ago and did well.)
@@vivianp5962 I agree. In the past several months, I've just walked out of Kroger without buying anything. I just want to buy groceries, not waste time trying to decipher their sales.
@@vivianp5962 No trickery involved. One just has to READ the ad and or signage and pay attention to what they are actually reaching for off the shelves or display units(refrigerated/freezers). If in doubt, ask an employee.

Walmart prices: great value whole red cap milk$3.13, GV saltines $1.74, GV white bread $1.42, Hot pockets 12 count pepperoni $14.24, 12 pack of Reese's peanut butter cups and Hershey's $2.37, GV ginger ale 2 litler bottle $1.00 each, all natural ground beef 73/27 3lbs $12.97. Of all the stores in my area, Kroger aka Fred Meyers had the best holiday sales this year. Even better than discount stores like Grocery Outlet, Walmart etc.

One thing I’ve told a lot of people about… the Kroger frozen turkey burgers are 5.99 for 6 burgers. They are normally 10.99. I put them in my panini maker. They are better than the brand name which are 13.99.

This sale is a 9 day sale because of the 4th. The new ad starts on the 5th its just a 5 day ad. Biggest difference would be the digital coupons will be new offerings starting Friday
You are correct. They do the same thing when holidays fall around the day the sale normally ends. Not sure why that is so confusing for him. You just need to read the sales ad.
That liquor store looks convenient but I think their theft will go up with that door right by it

Our ribeyes in Idaho were on digital for $4.97 lb. Usually I see your sales are better than ours
I don't drink soda, usually only water. If not water, then on occasion i drink lemonade iced tea.❤
meijers had corn 8 for $1.00 this week...i got 16 white corn and 16 peaches and cream corn. 7-3-2024
Meijer here on westside of Indy(Avon and Plainfield) the corn were 5/$1. Bought my corn😁

Was hoping to make the drive to Kroger for the ribeyes & soda. But I got busy. Lucked out at Ruler's(Kroger Lite😂) and their sale on soda. Coke & Pepsi products were 4 for $16. So it came out the same price. And at Sav A Lot they had ribeyes for similar price and yesterday they had t-bones on sale for this week @ $5.99 per lb.
Krogers new ad doesn’t start till Friday July 5th and goes through Tuesday..
Aldi was out of their canned chicken yesterday atl area. Eggs were 2.69 their brand small eggs, even organic grass fed were 4.99 but expiration was July 7 or 8. Left them there for someone that needed more than us as we froze a dozen a few weeks ago.
