It's extremely detrimental to a child's psychological growth and overall self-esteem. No wonder it's banned in all the western countries. There are other forms of punishment. We Tibetans should adopt those softer and non-corporal punishments rather than hitting and beating our students like cattle. I can't believe Ted Kunchok who is constantly preaching compassion and kindness towards others is advocating for corporal punishment! SMH
Ted hasn't mentioned that he even help many Tibetan schools to buy lot of things needed in school. That shows his humbleness.
