Episodic Synopsis
Having been recognized as the 14th Dalai Lama at the age of two, Lhamo Thondup’s reign as the spiritual and political leader began at a strained point in Chinese-Tibetan relations. Tibet’s religious leaders were constantly trying to avoid a full blown military takeover by the Chinese, who had began invading Tibetan territory since the communist revolution in China. By 1956, things had escalated to a point where the Dalai Lama and his ministers were trying to find a balance between the Chinese interference and the growing resentment of the Tibetan resistance fighters.

to fulfill their ambitions, they snatched so much from us. , we were the people who believed in non-violence, and seeing such violent people who are forcing non-violent people to take up arms makes me cry and sad.
Of course our ancestors were great, we have to protect our DHARMIC religion (Hindu, Buddha, Jain, Sikh)
Our roots are the same, we are different branches of the same tree

I live near Tibetan Refugee colony since 24 years … and i cant deny their religion is so beaut but it breaks my heart to see free Tibet logos everywhere….how it ud have broken them …both old middle aged and teens … to leave their own homes …the pain is unimaginable 😢💔

Every Tibetan shall watch this documentry. I have also studied in a Tibetan school in Mussoorie. I am an Indian. My heart breaks when I see them giving literally no importance to freedom of their nation. Many of them don't even respect their morning prayers and even National anthem. I always gets tears in my eyes when i see Dalai Lama in any video or just picture of him. Such pure soul. I wish i could see him, meet him directly and he hold my hands in his hands and bless me with peace. So much love for Dalai Lama and all Tibatan people.

Great production, very reminiscent of “ Kundun”, the movie. One thing I didn’t understand, why there was a giant painting on the wall of Mao ( in his late 70’s) in the 1954 meeting with HH😅. Om ah hum vajre guru padme siddhi hum.🙏
The kind of gesture Dalai Lama used to show during his childhood for the adoration and attraction towards the practice of Buddhism with those showpieces. Similar, my activities were of grooming myself as a sign of spiritually getting possessed by a soul to serve people as in the form of Mata...🙏
One can never get peace by asking for it, one need to equip our men and women with arms. Only war can sustain peace. It's a lesson to be learnt from the history of the Jews, Tibetans and the Chakmas. All of them have been persecuted.
