    …i got the three DumboRC G03…the version with damping…need the damping for the bumpy concrete floor in my studio…tested different gyros in the same class and price range…but these performe the best on my bumpy floors…

    Spray your track with silicone oil. It will give your cars ability to drift slower and with a brilliant grace. It was the best thing I did with my track. :D

    I got the G03 it was a smooth drift indoor/outdoor on my Awd 284010 i just convert its connector to Jst connector since my reciever has newer version, the stock wire connector can only fit on older version reciever of k989/k969*

      When it works with RWD this well I'm sure it works great for AWD.

    hello i dug my old k989 out of my "to do" projects bin and have been working on it quit a bit. im curious if its worth changing the stock pinions out with the included ones to slow it down for more low end power? im not trying to race it i just want to learn to drift well. so far ive added metal diffs metal rear cups and metal body mounts. i finally have it sliding around decent! i would say the most notable improvement came from just increasing steering range by moving the link to the top hole! thanks for all the great tutorials btw

      If you feel like the top end is too much speed then using a smaller pinion will give you more control.

    What is the plug for connecting the servo called? The white 3pin :).

    You think the direct steering from the MA could be too much feedback for the gyro?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 месяца назад

      Yes, definitely. That's why some gyros with particular steering curve response work well and the others don't. I guess the direct steering produces different angle of the car than the usual servo throw.

      GT55 V4 feels the best and is my favourite right now. At least until I can find something better.

      The one with gray wheels is MA Racing 1.5. Here's the review ruclips.net/video/k8Fa_iaqOyk/видео.html
      The one with green wheels is from GL Racing. The model is GLD. I also have a review for this but the info is dated because they updated the package.

    Have you tried the V5 tower yet?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 месяца назад

      Haven't got the V5 yet. The stand alone is still V4 on GT55. I've seen Dasmikro standalone gyro with V5 so I'll look into that. Seem a better value than this if the steering curve is based on V4.

    Hi i am Vince ,

      Maybe the new firmware has the menu in another setup. Generally when you connect to a computer it will show up as a game controller as default though. I'm on firmware 2.0.99 (not the newest one, I don't want to register just to update) so I'll check again if the menu has changed.

      @BeaversHobby  3 месяца назад

      @@vincebrizio953 Just checked it with my 2.0.99, there's no USB adjustment on the menu. Only a menu to activate firmware update mode. Just plug it in and it will show up in the PC as a game controller (direct input, not the Xbox mode). You'll have to do button mapping in the game yourself. On Windows you can check the "Set up USB game controllers" to see if the connection is OK. If it doesn't show up you might need to change the USB cable.

      I am also looking for drift gyros for my 2wd slash lol, I have mine setup pretty decent that I can slide it around without a gyro no problem but I’m very curious how it would drive with a gyro

      It should work. It can take up to 10V. Only one thing I'm not sure about is how it would react on a bumpy surface or when going offroad. It might shake like crazy when there's vibration.

    Hi there, do you wanna review or test batteries?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 месяца назад

      I mostly use batteries in pretty non power-demanding scenarios so I don't know how well I can do it.
