Love my ID:CORE 10... arrived 4 days ago... Weighs in at only 8 pounds (3.7kg), packed with features, fills my 400 square foot living room with plenty of volume, and the best part: No more lugging my rehearsal rig back and forth to band practice... I leave it at the drummers shop and practice at home with this mighty little bugger!!! The software is cool too... infinite possibilities !!!
2:24...i realized that captain n chappers have been part of my life for quite a while now..thanx guys for the amazing videos and the great gags.. cheers
My ID Core 40 came in a week ago, and it's very impressive. For a practice amp it's packed with features and you can get really good tones out of it. Best part is the price, can't beat it.
Yeah, if it's as good as the regular ID:15 that I have then it's definitely worth even buying the 40 watt one which is £159 on Andertons last time I had a look
you guys made a video where you compare 4 amps in the sort of 150-200 pund range with a fender first the a cube.... vox and a fourth .... the fender 2 something was in first place with 42 points i think ... wich one ... the 40watt fender or blackstar would you recommend as best ??
It's more whether you're going to do cleaner/traditional American sounding, or Modern/British metal. I had a Mustang 3 (basically the same as the 2) and a Blackstar 1HT-RH 1 watt head. The Blackstar leans moretoward metal, does a good clean. The Fender does a better clean, and can do hard rock and almost metal. If you're into mdern get the Blackstar ID COre. Listen to the video at 2:20. THat's a great modern sound. You won't get that out of the Mustang. but you won't get all the legacy Fender clean/diirty sounds out of the Blackstar...
VERY VERY impressive demo... They packed alot of usable sounds into that amp.. I will check it our online for all the features.. Looks like a great candidate for smaller club gigs when you dont want to lug a huge rack and two 4X12 cabs...
I have the 10 watt. It is actually the stated wattage. It has two seperate power amps. One for each speaker. 10 has 2 5 watt p.a. and etc. Etc. Its the best small amp I have ever owned. And ive been playing for 25 years,, owned every amp known to man lol. But you can not beat these amps. Any size u get.
but just think, if someone gave it to you can you honestly say you wouldn't keep it just to look at it and go "good god that is dreadful" and maybe even play it a bit just to laugh at yourself? I would. Ugly as sin guitars are hilariously bad and I would totally gig with them as a conversation starter.
Chris Mortlock gotta say no, i have three six strings, one a buddy guy i repainted neon green, put y.j.m pups in and scalloped most of the upper frets. have two seven strings, one i stripped and veneered with redwood burl, an eight string and a six string bass because i do my own recording. as ugly as my guitars are, that tele is overkill….. but, maybe a review of it might work, keeping it? no more room in the home studio. i like ugly. lust not that ugly. be well my friend.
cyanid3junki3 everyone has a line, with respect to paint jobs I think nothing is off limits to me personally for the sake of comedy however I draw that line very strictly when it comes to awful body shapes. Can't stand that aspect.
Great sounding little practice amps. I played the ID 10 recently at GC and its the first I've heard of them and was blown away by the sound from that little amp. I may consider a 20W but the 10 is fine and used you can get one for $75. Much, much cheaper than the Yamaha thr10. Although the 40W was nice, I don't need the 40.
Play the id core 150 and the thing is 3d sound that engulfs you from all sides and behind. Also plug in the id core 40 head into a fender mustang stereo 4x12 half stack and it is BIG! too Great designs from great minds. Great demos here guys.
I don't know, I think it is a very short and less thorough video for Captain and Rob with this Blackstar ID core series amps, which has so many features for a cheap amplifier. But still I love you Captain and ROB and Rabea. You guys make best review videos...
The 'Wide dynamic STEREO technology" sounds unbelievable for a 10 watt amp on my iPhone. Can't wait to hear this on my iPad. It's however disadvantage that you need to modify your mono-guitar to stereo if you still use an outdated 50's Fender or Gibson. Needs some really heavy, specialist welding in the metal shop instead of a simple amateur DIY.
Nice work on the TesseracT T-shirt such an underrated band, Great demo I have been looking at getting a Blackstar amp. The ID Core amps sound very nice shame you didn't do a metal style demo tho.
I just bought the id core 20,my guitars are Gibson les paul std squire stat plus very cheap chinese telecaster and very cheap chinese 335.They all sound very nice through this beauty whether thru headphones or the speakers.I plug in backing tracks or drum tracks to play along with.Unusually for me I found nice tones straight away .Not loud enough to gig with unless miked.I was smiling straight away nice little amp it doesn't sound like a small cheap box it sounds very nice
I am the proud owner of an ID Core 10... obviously there are some great sounds using this amp...equally great using headphones: but I have found that recording direct into a computer using the USB connection, any tone with the gain even slightly up sounds horribly fizzy... like you are playing through a really cheap fuzzbox. (The lead is OK and the recording level is not distorting.) Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
These amps seem to me to be direct competitors with the Line 6 Spiders. I have 2 Line 6 amps so was wondering which you thought were better or worse in certain areas?
Ok Gorden thank you low volume with a 40 watt amp sounds really good then. That works for me.does it come with a footswitch do you know.thanks for the knowledge
+BTSbAR bro I can get AS I lay DYING pretty much sounds out of my ID core 10 lol. Nevermind Mudvayne lol. I mean nothing will be perfect but pretty damn close. Just a little less in bass but that is fine because all these guys have 10s of thousands of dollars of equipment so it won't be perfectly matched but it does get really raunchy. Just a tiny thinner sounding but for the money its awesome.
Love my ID:CORE 10... arrived 4 days ago... blackstar is always best for low budget metal rock and blues players god bless blackstar
the main chorus riff of bleed the light so pure gold
I own this amp! It's one bad ass little amp. I love it. Play on it all the time. Blackstar makes great amps.
Captain's tone was the best one in my opinion. Such a great warm clean.
The captain playing the blues is really growing on me as of late.
2:24...i realized that captain n chappers have been part of my life for quite a while now..thanx guys for the amazing videos and the great gags.. cheers

Have you tried VS a drummer? how does it behave?
David Tromp depends on the type of drummer lol
Captain Just acheived the best tone of all kinds
Love the gear reviews and how you're mixing things up a bit ... nice to keep it fresh ... :)
That strat tone gets me every time
Blackstar rocks! I have a 1 watt tube that is amazing.
Posting this whilst listening to Lee playing the first demo - sounds great to me for a budget amp.
Yeah, if it's as good as the regular ID:15 that I have then it's definitely worth even buying the 40 watt one which is £159 on Andertons last time I had a look
"play the blues on this understated Telecaster".... the Capt. cracks me up every time. The best humor is British humor.
+T Crane I was just about to post the same message! I truly laughed out loud!
I love you Captain and Chappers!!
We love you ;-)
Rob Chapman Vale! We love you and The Captain too!!! Woohoo! I think I'll get a Blackstar HT1-RH! and Cheers!

Holy balls! That Chappers tone!
My ID Core 40 also arrived a couple weeks ago and it is quite nice. The surround sound is really amazing!! Get one!
Have you gotten a chance to try it VS a drummer? How does it behave?
Loving the Ocean Water on the wall, makes me want to go play mine, best Gibson finish to date in my opinion.
I wonder what Aziz thinks of the chapman guitars ;)

Just bought the core 20. So far im well pleased with it. Need to learn to play now.! :-)
Sounds really sweet and valve like, gonna have to try one instore!
I just scored the Id Core 10 for $50 today and WOW for the money it sounds great. Such a fun little amp to mess around with too.
I love these amps.
Love the demo at the end, beast rob
Just ordered Core 20 from Andertons.
Good days are coming!
remember the earlier demos for blackstar products with this quote "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM"
Bea on that Strat sounded heavenly!
I went back to the beginning to check the price. You get all of this for £150 max ? Shit, that's amazing.
+tobortine ya, the cheapest one(idcore10) is $99 us.
Cheeky end teaser!! Sonds freaking amazeballs guys😜
its not the guitar that makes the player, Capt Lee you always look like you feel the stuff you play......AWESOME!!!
Is that a wee cheeky Dorje album teaser at the end of the video by any chance?
Yep - new track called Flower Of Life - that's just us writing it though, it's a live recording ;-)
It sounds good, glad to hear some new stuff. Hope the rest of the album comes relatively pain free.
Rob Chapman Well that didn't take much time! :) I remember you trying this new riff with your drummer in one of your recent videos.
C ya Man NEVER GIVE INN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES !!! ID CORE is one BAD-ASS AMP! Wish They Made A
Full Stak
That actually sounds really nice. I'm pretty surprised!
that tele is hideous.
yea it was pretty bad
Almost as bad as Rob's hair is getting... Balding with dreadlocks. Weird combo...
but just think, if someone gave it to you can you honestly say you wouldn't keep it just to look at it and go "good god that is dreadful" and maybe even play it a bit just to laugh at yourself? I would. Ugly as sin guitars are hilariously bad and I would totally gig with them as a conversation starter.

you guys just helped me pick out my next amp.... peefrect for barracks
Great sounding little practice amps. I played the ID 10 recently at GC and its the first I've heard of them and was blown away by the sound from that little amp. Is it just me or for the price do these things sound INSANE! :p
In a good way or a bad way
Play the id core 150 and the thing is 3d sound that engulfs you from all sides and behind. Also plug in the id core 40 head into a fender mustang stereo 4x12 half stack and it is BIG! too Great designs from great minds. Great demos here guys.
which song is chappers playing? It sounds amazing
garjomon joputa darude sandstorm
I' been waiting for you to do a review :D
Very cool guitar. Never see one like this
I don't know, I think it is a very short and less thorough video for Captain and Rob with this Blackstar ID core series amps, which has so many features for a cheap amplifier. But still I love you Captain and ROB and Rabea. You guys make best review videos...
That is one badass Les Paul back there on the wall..
I got the leeeeetle one. It solves a number of problems very simply.
Rebea raking is just freaking awesome!!!
Try listening to this in stereo too - it makes a big difference!
I prefer the original ID amps, but I can see where these will appeal.
Picked up a Hughes and Kettner Attax 100 for just £100 the other week. Fantastic amp
The 'Wide dynamic STEREO technology" sounds unbelievable for a 10 watt amp on my iPhone. Can't wait to hear this on my iPad.

Does anyone know what was the second thing that iziz was playing it sounds so cool
With a Blackstar Id core 40, can I use a pedal like a Tube Screamer or Metal Muff?
Excellent product, saw the V2 video but its not out in my area yet but this one was on sale, great little stereo amp
Played one in a shop. Sounds as good as my Laney Tube amp.
Awesome Tesseract t-shirt!! They rock. if you havent checked them out you MUST. Sound orgasm for sure. crazy insane playing and mind blowing vocals
holy cow! it's amazing :D
Dat Tesseract shirt though. Too good.
love that telecaster at the start. where can i get one
Nice work on the TesseracT T-shirt such an underrated band, Great demo I have been looking at getting a Blackstar amp. The ID Core amps sound very nice shame you didn't do a metal style demo tho.
Came to hear the amp, just listened to the Captain instead. Great job!
Rabea has great Tone in this demo. Im kinda inclined tot hink its more the guitar and his fingers though.
they make a 40 watt version in a head, and when on the right cab, Its Micro Dark volume if not more.
My husband loves Blackstar amps...
Rob's wearing a TesseracT shirt. Just when I thought this dude couldn't get any cooler..
Hey Capt. or Rob, do you guys think you will have the new Ibanez IL15 amp in store to test out on video?
what model of fender strats was bea playing? sounded so fukn fierce !
EQ is your friend.
musicgarryj Dang, I'm getting a Katana and hoping that the USB recording will sound good. BUU MAKE YOU CHOCOLATE!
musicgarryj Behringer Noise Removal Pedal
These sound amazing. And thats coming from a valve snob...
I have the wee 10w
speakers are great .....the delay pings the sound all over the room......54
Really enjoying hearing Aziz play in your videos. How much longer are we gonna have him??
I saw the ML ghost on Chapper's phone. When is it available?
Andertons Music Co It sounds kind of "flat". When Rob is playing the notes are not expanding much. Quite inferior to THR?
Do you get the USB cables included? Kinda want to start recording covers, and microphones are expensive as hell.
These amps seem to me to be direct competitors with the Line 6 Spiders. I have 2 Line 6 amps so was wondering which you thought were better or worse in certain areas?
Hell Yeah!! he wearing a TesseracT t-shirt!!
are these any good for a bar or small gig ?
what setting was that Rob played? ADT?
The gutar at around 5 min mark is badass looking metal af what kind is that gutar the last one?
Or the one that was used lol
4:30 pat smear !! is that you? ;)
Where can i buy that skull tele I want it bad.
Great playing by everyone.
Captain!!!! you should really write(if you haven't already) a blues song and record! that would be awesome!
Ok Gorden thank you low volume with a 40 watt amp sounds really good then. That works for me.does it come with a footswitch do you know.thanks for the knowledge
Blackstar ID Core 20 or Vox VxII??
is the id core 10 sounding like this ? wow, i'm going to get one :D
To anyone that has this Amp: Can you get a good heavy distortion out of it? Something like a Sevendust, Mudvayne tone?
+BTSbAR Yes you can! I play thrash metal on my little idcore 10.
+Tim Borisenko Same :D
+BTSbAR bro I can get AS I lay DYING pretty much sounds out of my ID core 10 lol. Nevermind Mudvayne lol. I mean nothing will be perfect but pretty damn close. Just a little less in bass but that is fine because all these guys have 10s of thousands of dollars of equipment so it won't be perfectly matched but it does get really raunchy. Just a tiny thinner sounding but for the money its awesome.
Sounds great. Pity there's no balanced line out however. Or midi.
Chappers got some cornrow work done ?
can you please tell me what cables you use. Please
What's the name of the first song you played, Chappers? It's the one used in the intro in the older videos
I think it's his own song 'Bleed the Light'
This over a THR?
4th was what i am looking for i really wonder how good was reverb
What guitar model is that beautiful blue Les Paul in the Background??
Is that a Gibson Standard??
I guess you mean this one www.andertons.co.uk/solid-body-electric-guitars/pid31549/cid671/gibson-les-paul-standard-plus-in-ocean-water.asp :)
***** Thats the one! :D Thanks!
Now all i have to do is save up some money :D
No problem :) Indeed, tis the tricky part.
Does anyone know what the song at 2:24 is?
How did Chappers connect his phone thhru the amp? what cable did he use?
Iam a beginner btw
Do these have the True Valve the regular ID series have?
You should do a more in depth video of this amp
Wow, that was like an amp Bukake !!. :)
Does that tele have a carbon fibre fretboard?
