I watched this went in to the store the next day, tried out the id 40. After nearly two hours in the store bought it. The wide stereo effect is voodoo magic.
I had an ID:Core 20 delivered over the weekend. Unfortunately my guitar is away fro a refret so I can't use the thing. Instead I have been watching hours of reviews and demos. I'm not sure it's helping my frustration at not being able to use it but I am certainly not regretting my purchase!
I have been playing my lap steel guitar through the 40 watt model I got today and it is incredible. Also tried my Telecaster Custom with it and it is inspirational to experiment with. Steve, you certainly are a fine guitarist and extremely versatile which makes for great demos of these great amps!
These things are incredible. I played the 10 watt with a cheap little squier bullet HH strat and I was amazed how full it sounded! For 100 bucks, i think I found my new dorm room amp! Love the computer connection too.
I have thr ID Core stereo 40 (V1) I bought used a few years ago. I built an extremely upgraded and modified "Starcaster" Strat electric guitar By: Fender (said it on the headstock) a year later for the mod/rebuild project. The hand made custom extended brushed stainless steel pick guard is loaded with 3 quad rail/coil humbuckers and wired like a 50's Les Paul with coil splits using 500K P/P vol. pots and 500K tone pots with .047 orange drop tone caps, a Fender 5-way blade switch and much more. the many upgrades include roller saddles and a brass bridge block, titanium nut roller string tree and locking tuners. the pots are adorned with chrome knobs and a chrome switch tip for the 5-way. the bridge tone pot is P/P to activate the bridge and neck pickups together regardless of other controls. looks really cool, feels plays and sounds great. this is one out of this world guitar. so the name it has is the "Stellarcaster" and I plug it into my Blackstar ID Core stereo 40 cranked to really annoy the nosy neighbors as much as I can. thee amp is getting a pair of switched 1/4" external speaker output jacks to drive a pair of vertical 4X12" cabs with built in amp boards and power supplies for even more output power up to 120 watts. depending on the amp boards I use. or I can connect from the headphone output into the CD input of my surround sound receiver for a much fuller tone and full surround sound including the subwoofer. you can never have too much power in my opinion. at age 65 I am child of the 60's and 70's after all. I like it loud and proud. Wanna Play???.
tried one today the 40 watt ,i have dark terror , and orange th30 amps , but this new blackstar blew me away the delay was amazing and the cost peanuts for what your getting .. would be nice if they brought a 60 or 100 watt out ie for gigging ..
Im sorry i need the answer please. So, what different with 10,20 and 40 ? Is that just watt electric and size the amp. Or any different ? Please. Whoever answer me. Im sorry i if i'm using bad words because i am from indonesia. Thanks before 😊
The video would of been a lot better and made the title more accurate had you also demo'ed the 10 and 20 amp versions as well. I would of liked to hear the difference. I am particularly intrested in the 20 but not pluging into it at all and only hearing the 40 does really nothing for me in that regard. I do like the 10 as i have played one many times but wanted a bit more depth with the 20 and the 5" speakers. Have never found a 20 in a store to try one.
For the price point the 40 watt is a fantastic amp and would definitely recommend! Check it out here : www.pmtonline.co.uk/blackstar-id-core-40-stereo-guitar-amplifier-combo
Great Video! ...I'm watching this video, and again it's a good video, but at around 3:00 when he's explaining the amps and he says, and I'm paraphrasing here slightly "the really beautiful thing about these amplifiers is that they, the effects, sound like they're not coming from the amp itself, it sounds like it's coming from around, hence the name stereo, super-wide stereo, it's the tag line. The delay, it sounds like it's coming from around you" ...personally I feel he should have added "now isn't it?" at the end. But anyways, at that point I zoned out for a minute do to CENSORED and suddenly it was Nigel Tufnel telling me "the amps go to 11 and for me not to touch the amps, not to even look at them" haha. JK, It's all in good fun.
MrJohnnz Not really John. I can't even find it in the Blackstar manual. It doesn't say how the wattage is measured. It also says nothing about the voltage at the speaker. Most solid state Amps are not measured in RMS Watts.
Does the 40 watt sound the same as the other ID cores? that's one I'm thinking if getting but I've seen a lot of people on RUclips bashing it more than the id core 10 w one. is the 40 also good for gigging? thanks
I Just purchased the Blackstar ID Core Stereo 40W WOW Outstanding amp you won't regret buying it, I've only seen and heard nothing but positive feedback, and at the end of the day it's what you like no one else I'm Converted from Marshall now to Blackstar and these guy's used to work for Marshall and decided to set up there own amp business hence Blackstar no brainer in my opinion! 🤔 🤙🤘👍. Oh yeah there really loud, so for sure you can go gigging with the 40 nice............ 🔥
Owners of these amps (ID:Core Series), can someone please do a music playback review and may be tell us how efficient they are as for daily use with media players and/or music playback. Thank you! Note: There's no review focusing on the the music playback capability of these amps.
Shahriar Ahmed Did you even watch the 2nd part of this demo? It's almost completely dedicated to these features, and goes over all of them, including the tempo shifting function.
All the features are the same, but what's the difference in sound between their speaker size? A 3" speaker cannot sound like 6" speaker... it's just physical!

Seen lots of demo's of the ID-Core but this is by far the best. Everything sounds amazing. I'll definitely be getting myself one.
I have a Boss Katana 50 for quite a while now but I have to say this amplifier range makes me damn enthusiastic.
They are just AWESOME!!

Just bought Id20 amp really pleased with it
very cool little amp
Should I get the ID 20 or 40? Strictly for home use and I'm debating on spending the extra money for the 40
+Namazzip 10 is plenty for home. I have that one. Would gig with the 40, although the Cube 40 might be tougher with the metal grille and all.

Is that 40Wrms ? Or 2 by 20Wrms ? What I'm asking are the Watts rating in rms ?
2x20 rms
2X20 WATTS RMS - 2X10 WATTS RMS - 2X5 WATTS RMS
