- Time isn't on your side when you run an Alaska fishing lodge during salmon season and need good cured eggs. Bob Kratzer, owner of Alaska Kingfishers on the world famous Nushagak River, can attest to that. Kratzer, a veteran guide and outfitter, often goes through gallons of eggs daily and always needs another batch in a hurry to keep his lodge running full speed and clients constantly catching salmon. Meanwhile, Kratzer isn't intimidated and turns to Pautzke Fire Cure and Fire Power to get the job done. Find out exactly what he does in this easy process that can be used on curing salmon eggs in Alaska, or anywhere salmon are found.

What brand of anise oil do you use
Atlas Mike's
why is it important to get rid of the blood? Can you do it with the blood left in?
It can spoil the eggs.
I only let it sit in the juice for an hour and let it dry for like 2 hours ,works great
Did he say Anise Oil?
