Drivers in China: “f@ck off ambulance, we are overpopulated anyways”
shows you how much they care about others
not when they were in the amublance, which he will be end up like that.scum bag
In Germany you have to make way for emergency vehicles. If this means, you have to run over a red light, you have to. "Run over" un this situation means of course "carefully crawl over". You may pass the stop line and should find a place where the emergency vehicles can pass you.
If you still get a ticket - because there is a system installed which automatically detects cars driving over red light, you can easily demur.
I would do the same in other countries.
yeah, Netherlands is the same thing, that Said if there is No safe way to let it pass drive normally onwards to the next point you Can safely do so,
first order of business is Always making sure that no emergency services would be required for yourself or others due to your actions
1:18 To be fair, the driver is technically doing the right thing, the law does not allow crossing a red light to give way (unless specifically directed to do so), although as long as you do it neatly police won't ebfirce it. AND he doesn't just risk a fine, being caught running a red light *once* usually means temporarily suspended driving license in Sweden.
(Although, the transport authority may choose to not suspend it, if they deem the offence justified.)
Just how difficult it is to see and hear an emergency vehicle coming with blazing sirrens and honking with flashing lights?
Here's an idea: Adapt street lights to display a flashing light system similar to the Emergency services via a encoded GPS related to the Unit ( Firetruck/Ambulance/Cops ) in a progressive Ahead fashion ie: X = lighting system ahead to a least fore warn drivers of impending Unit, 🤓💡
EMS here. Please NEVER go through a red light for us. Forget the ticket you could cause a crash that we'll have to stand down from our running call to stop and deal with.
I'd much rather you wait until it is safe. Dont feel bad for following the law.
It must be infuriating beyond belief to meet a guy like that first one.
Like this video, good job!
In Germany it was and is a long way to accept " rescue gap " or Rettungsgasse... we shold have called it Führergasse....😄
Eine Schande dass man Leuten so etwas noch erklären muss! Denen gehört allen der Führerschein lebenslang entzogen
Australian Police adopted the bullhorn for incoherent drivers. Its like thunder when it goes off behind you.
You probably won't believe this, but in the Netherlands it is illegal to go through a red light, even if there's an ambulance behind you. I think the idea is that they don't want your causing accidents by going through an intersection. You are supposed to move as far as you can to the side, but not cross the line.
Same for the UK.
Same for Sweden.
In Hungary, you need to make way for the emergency vehicle. Even if it means running a red light. (As far as I know you won't get any tickets by doing that) You need to of course pay attention to the situation and only slowly enter intersections when other traffic is to be expected. This is why you must pay attention crossing any intersection even if the lights are green. (I mean in general.... if you operate a vehicle, always pay attention to your surroundings...)
You can even go faster than the speedlimit if you cannot make way for the emergency vehicle any other way, but only for that time.
I think this is where common sense should be applied, yes in the UK regardless of blues and twos, you should not cross that line.... but I have crept past it and pulled to the side (not crossed the junction at all just passed the line enough to create a space) Technically a big no no, but to let an ESV by, I'd do it again.... they are blues and twos'ing for a reason.... do what you can to get out of the way. {safely}
You have a point. But in the law there more details about this rule (in the Netherlands). Your not allowed to drive fully through the red light. That could cause an accident. But you have to make room for the ambulance. By shifting more to the left or right. Crossing the line a little bit, is allowed.
German here: We have hightened the penalty you get for miss uses of the resscuelane or "Rettungs gasse" in german and not creating one.
in the Czech Republic as well, here are higher fines if you misuse one or if you dont create one. Also here it is not illegal to run a red light if there’s an ambulance or other vehicle like that behind you (a lot of people at´re dumbass and dont even look in the mirrors or are just “scared” to move the vehicle few meters into the intersection) - i’d personally fined those drivers bcs wtf, if you’re unaware of your surroundings as a driver you dont belong on the streets
Ich will ja nicht Grammatikpolizei spielen, aber das Kompositum auf Deutsch getrennt und auf Englisch zusammen zu schreiben tut schon weh.
How can one not notice that?
Should come with a mandatory jail sentence without parole.
0:35 How many years was this plunker sentenced to?
As a uk person it happens all the time.
All the Asias are sleeping??????
Is this Try not to get mad Video?
Here in New Zealand (country east of australia) people don't see or hear emergency vehicles until the emergency vehicles are right up their butt. Even then, drivers here don't give a sh#t. In some cases, a lot of people try running (speeding) from the police. Just wish our police here would do what the American police do, force drivers off the road.
Our drivers are pretty good. They .move over as well as they can.
That’s because US roads usually wide as fuck. 4 lanes of cars could usually fit 2-lane road.
God so different compared to USA or Canada lol
What a shitshow in Beijing
Are The Chinese drivers arrogant or ignorant or both,To Not move aside for Emergency vehicles is very self centered,Maybe A Law stating Only Traffic Police can instruct them otherwise how to drive.
3) To be fair, a sports car, a wet and maybe icy road, uphill... this is much harder to drive, than most people would expect. The ambulance was also very stupid, because he could and should have seen this and simply go around. It's so easy to loose control like ten times by accelerating only up to 20 km/h from standing in that situation. Only sports car drivers know this, you wouldn't expect from a tractor to go from 0-100 in 6sec, why do you expect from a sports car to has endless traction with that power under those circumstances? If cross traffic is coming and he sits in the middle of the road and can't get away, the ambulance can stay present at place...
4) Is driving way too fast. If an accident happens, he should take full responsibility and not just loose his job but go to jail aswell! Just because you are blue light, doesen't mean you are god now and can do what you want. There are rules on the max speed when passing traffic or an intersection and he was clearly ignoring them!
9) If the van was blocking the overtake lane for 20 seconds and the left lane is empty... I mean, is it just me, or...
This is definitely too much going by the book! If the emergency vehicle would be in such a rush, they would use every oportunity to overtake, but in this case, they seem just to be playing with the siren and act like there would be an emergency...
Driver 3 did the right thing by waiting at the red light.
no cause he didnt make room lol. You dont have to cross the road to make room
No, he did not. At least in Germany, but also in many other countries, if you have to make room for an emergency vehicle, it trumps things like traffic lights.
You are still required to be extremely careful, also because you have no lights yourself, but you are expected to cross a red light if possible and necessary.
As for tickets, if the picture shows the emergency vehicle as well you're unlikely to hear anything about it at all, since they'll just ditch it right away. If that's not case, you can appeal the ticket and they'll cross-check with the emergency services.
@@Syndur In The Netherlands you aren't allowed to run the line at the red light, even for emergency vehicles. The fine however will almost always be waved when you do. But you have to make that request yourself and you must hope that the other vehicle is on the 2nd photo that was taken. Otherwise you have to get some statement from that department to support your claim. Officially you have to keep enough space for the line so you can make space. Funny enough you have to go to the line to be registered for the lights :/
blocking a life saving ambulance is the right thing to do? you have issues
Yes, they did. In the UK the traffic laws state clearly " Consider the route of such a vehicle and take appropriate action to let it pass, while complying with all traffic signs." (Rule 219). "Complying with all traffic signs", means you are not allowed to run a red-light either.
