I think one of the biggest benefits for the monolith is that it has the titanic keyword. Because of that your opponent is forced to deploy two units after you deploy it which can really mess them up. I play with a shard of the deceiver as well and so many games feel like they are decided right from deployment.
@ Deceiver gives you a redeployment. You can deploy your Monolith early, force them to put a whole bunch of material on the board and then move it at the end.
Nobody ever expects the monolith to poop out fully loaded ghost arks. If you yolo a full unit of warriors with veil of darkness into a deployment zone you can call in the monolith to drop off an ambulance ghost ark to help support them.
@@Trueflights at the start of 10th at 350 it was extremely viable. 400 points is a direct nerf from how good it is in the Hyper crypt detachment...boooh....still at 350 pts with 4 Death Rays with sustained hits D3 and the Particle whip which has 3D6 ranged attacks and its also a good utility piece. All GW did was hurt the other Necron detachment when they made it 400 points.
@@chrisbeau76 Even at 350, I don't think I would use one even with Hypercrypt. When the codex came out and Hypercrypt became a thing it was already raised to 375. At 400, I wouldn't even bother with one in a casual game with friends. They ruined the only chance of a use that it had.

Why does it match up well with the SoD?

I really like running the Monolith in Awakened Dynsasty. Monolith hitting on 2s is really nice. (Hexmark with phrasal subjigator)
Love the comprehensive videos!
Love using cosmic precision on my reanimator to heal up units around the battlefield as i only own 1 reanimator model
nice idea
Enlighten me how to take full advantage of skorpekh lord and 6 destroyers. Want all those juicy buffs when charging

Is it even worth the 400pts at this point lol
not for me
It wasn't worth the 350 before the last two cost increase updates.

My hot take: the OG Monolith looks better than the new sculpt
The OG one looks better because they were like $45 as opposed to what the $100+ they are now?
