I think we will try this, we want to leave the bees own food store for them as much as possible, this enables us to take what we need in small sections without much loss to the hive . Great invention!
Thanks Liz. I’m pleased that you like the idea. Have a look at some of my other videos on this topic. I have a range of ideas related to comb honey and mini frames.
Awsome. Have you tried Palmers advice of comb? He says in one of his longer talks they remowed the hive to force the bees to finish the comb in just day or two. Regards Bub in Sweden
Wax discs are held in place with a few dabs of molten wax to hold them in place until the bees start to draw out comb. Have a look at the other videos in this series to see how it is done.
Have fun playing with this idea. You may be able to make improvements to the design. I will put up a clip on the construction process in a few days which will help you get started.
I made the stands many years ago when I first started in beekeeping. The idea is good but they are actually too high. When four boxes are on the stand, an awkward and difficult lift is created for the top super. If I were to make them again, I would reduce the height by about 150mm.

Very entertaining Les. What are the concrete bases called and where did you get them. Great solution for a stand.
