    Natalee, another fine video. You comb honey looks fantastic. I didn’t produce any this year and I really don’t know why! The Pierce comb cutter looks like the way to go if you’re selling the comb honey. How much does that size sell for and how much does it weigh on average?

    Just watched your video. Well done. I'm inspired.
    Suggestion about putting honey into boxes, chilling (or freezing) the honey between cutting and boxing would decrease the dripping. It might be worth getting a funky old fridge for the purpose. Hope this helps.

    Does your comb and chunk honey sell pretty well? I did a limited amount this year and it wasnt very popular, so much so I think I am going to take pre orders this coming year and not cut any that isnt ordered ahead of time.

    Looks great, Beautiful comb!
    Thanks for the mention!
    Growing your market can be difficult but it’s a great product to add to the line up.
    One tip, the reason that some people (me) remove the comb from the frame is to prevent breaking the comb where you don’t want it to break.
    Sometimes if there is a space behind the frame you can break it, that’s all.

    A steam bath for your containers may warm them enough for the comb to slide in easier.

    6:00 i understand i am new to beekeeping. i thought cold temp increased the chances of crystallization.
    *sigh*, so much to learn.

    • @BeekeepingWithNatalee
      @BeekeepingWithNatalee  5 месяцев назад +1

      yes! It does if it's just laying on top of something cold but when it's actually frozen in a freezer it slows down the crystallization process. we are all still learning do not even worry!

    Make the cutting tool a quarter inch smaller all around that way the honey block will fit much easier.

      I agree, you are killing it, Using Hot tool, will kill importan healty ensumes and microbacteria. So it decreases that honeycomb nothing more that sweet threat that can commercially sold. Truw bee keepers just cut it with sharp knife and it dosent need to be cut neat. In fairs sometimes beekeepers have whole comb with them and they cut as big piece as buyer wants.

    I don't do a lot of comb honey, but I usually let it drain for a while. It makes for a cleaner product in the container. The cutter does look nice. Good job!
