Can I fix my 2004 WRX 5-speed Synchros for under $100?

I've really done it this time... I thought I found the perfect Subaru Impreza WRX, that is until I realized that little grind from 3rd to 4th would be the death of me. What should we do next to remedy this situation?

thanks for this vid bro. a godsend for a dude with an 04 with a leaky valve cover gasket dripping oil onto his exhaust and the synchros on their way out. good to know that these are both known issues with this car.

my 04 that i recently bought grinds from 3rd to 4th if I shift super quickly its happened maybe 5 times since i bought it a month or so ago i think it doesnt happen when I give it a second between shifts but not sure... are my synchros shot? bought from original owner and his maintence records had the mechanic noting this problem but i guess he never fixed it and I didnt read all the records before buying lol
