- The amazing Emigrant Wilderness and Cherry Creek canyon! This is a 2 day backpacking adventure from earlier this year to one of my all time favorite canyons, West Cherry Creek canyon in Emigrant Wilderness, of Stanislaus National Forest, on the way to Hyatt Lake, in northern California.This is the 3rd time I have been to West Cherry Creek Canyon (all different spots), and it is just as stunning as ever. Oh yes, and there are waterfalls as well! Come along for the ride.

I like this waterfall, it looks like it has three streams coming down it. Makes it look beautiful brother. Some good hiking leading up to the falls also.

@@LostAgainwithJim Yes, it's a hard trail to follow. Lots of trees down, wiped out the trail in a lot of places.

Was this very recent? The main Cherry Creek between Cherry Lake and Huckleberry Lake is also very beautiful, with many waterfalls and interesting spots. It’s not too difficult of a cross country route unless the water flow is very high. There is an official but often difficult to follow trail between Lord Meadow and Huckleberry Lake.
General Smedley Butler a couple months ago. I'm behind in my video postings. lol. I have been to Lord Meadow before and camped there. I did not go to Huckleberry. Thanks a lot for watching.
Aw, I just read this was earlier in the year, was going to say snow...still. The Lower Middle Falls at West Cherry Creek looked real wild and well worth the 'Holly Crap' You looked exhausted in the car, seemed like a good trip, cheers Alan

Your first line in this video is epic! LOL Still lots of snow at the trailhead. Past that, the landscape is amazing! The creek is perfect for a break. The Middle falls are spectacular, no wonder it is one of your favorites. Your tent looks minuscule! Sorry you didn't make it on time. What a hike, kudos Leon!

What a great trip, Leon! Those were some spectacular waterfalls!!! I love the quesadilla idea, but I think the Naan bread would make it tough getting the cheese to melt.
This reminds me of my father in law making quesadillas at the top of Whitney one year. Some JMT thru hiker offered him $20 for one. My FIL is not one to take advantage of people....he only charged him $10!
I kid....he didn't charge him anything. :)
